husband and i came for brunch on a sunday morning. we didn't have to wait for a table which was good.

husband had the eggs and sausage with diced fried potatoes (their hash browns?) and subbed biscuits and gravy instead of toast. i had the colorado burrito which was filled with chili and scrambled eggs, topped with chili con queso (but was really just a cheese sauce) and served with chips, salsa, and sour cream.

all the food was good but it wasn't "wow!" we weren't blown away by it. i don't know if it's because we didn't get a special or whatever it is they're known for. we aren't sure we'll be back again and it's not on the top of our list.

food was slow to come out. it wasn't super busy but it took at least 20 mins to get our food when there was only 2 of us!

they do have freshly squeezed orangejuicewhich was good but i wasn't too big of a fan because i don't like pulp in my orange juice. it wasn't cold either.

so this place is completely classic when it comes to breakfast in oklahoma city. i recommend asking for loretta's section. she may look intimidating but she's been there more years than i can count, she knows the menu well and she can keep up with their customers even when this place is feeding a full house. go for what you like, they do well with most anything and the prices are very accommodating. definitely try some of that fresh squeezed orangejuiceand go for a waffle if you feel like packing on the morning pounds.

i went to classen grill this morning hoping for some delicious comfort food, but was sadly disappointed. the freshly squeezed orangejuicetasted like it had been in the fridge a few days too long. the "dynamite" classen grill potatoes had an okay herb flavor to them, but the texture inside was pretty mushy, almost like baby food. our breakfast quesadilla sounded like a great idea, but the bright orange jalepeno cheddar tortilla was an eye sore, it was drowned in watery salsa, and the guacamole was brown inside and out. the biscuit debris might've hit the spot if the biscuits hadn't been burnt to a dark brown, but the final disappointment was the waiting. it was a busy saturday morning, but after being so disappointed by our food, we just wanted to go home. our credit card sat untouched on the table for a good 10 minutes, so we swapped it for cash and just left.

memphis french toast. yum! so good, no need to syrup. the sweetness of the honey and bananas makes this perfect!

the restaurant can be a little noisy, but the food is incredible. the farmers omelet is tasty goodness. we also had the memphis french toast made with peanut butter, bananas, and honey. so good, it didn't need any syrup. the fresh orangejuicewas fantastic. waited 10 minutes for a table, and it was worth it. will definitely be going back again.

special for a reason.

freshly squeezed orangejuiceand chinook eggs -- perfect!

the coyote quesadilla and the freshly squeezed orange juice? perfect!

service: darn near perfect.

local crowd: happy and well fed.

this is always a favorite for me when i have out-of-town guests -- i've yet to see one of them leave classen grill unhappy.

i have gotten a so-so experience at classen grill. one bad; one good. first off, the orangejuiceisn't as awesome as everyone says it is. it cost like five bucks for a 12 or 14 oz glass. it's tasty but also room temperature. i'd rather have a large glass of cold stuff. two, hash brown potatoes means home fries deep fried and soggy. i evensaid hash browns. do they have that there? i was suggested a burrito and i'm thinking breakfast burrito. i got a cheesey beefy burrito covered in nacho cheese and topped with tortilla chips. why is this on the breakfast menu? it sucked. also my dates eggs were ordered over easy each time we've gone an it's always over medium. their toast is wonder bread grilled on one side. the second time i went i got a burger. it was very fresh and filling. sausage links are also very good here. there are better places to get a good meal. it's pricey and borderline obnoxious how they try to make fusion breakfast lunch food. just my opinion. i'll be back, but maybe not for a while.

great little place. this is a great little spot for breakfast and lunch. it is a cozy little diner and the staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. the fresh-squeezed orangejuiceis a must, and i recommend the beignets if they are on the menu. their prices are very reasonable, and i enjoy this place everytime i go. try the eggs benedict as well!
