this place right next to ram jhula , there are 2 chotiwalas , we tried the first one. food was good, tried punjabithali- which is all fixed no refills, dosas ,pao bhaji , shahi paneer (the serving was quite a lot for a dish). they serve continental and various indian thalis like bangla gujarati , though we did not try that .there are two sitting area - normal dhaba type and second ac section.
the prices are on higher side , it’s as good as as fine dining restaurant in delhi. the non ac siting area is also not comfortable.

absolutely average place. thethalicosted rs.300 but had a very average menu with below average taste.there are better options in the same vicinity......

the place has amazing location at laxman jhula parking. the taste is awesome as per "delhiwala". we had paneer naanthalithat was amazing. overall good experience. sandwich and pav bhaji were also good. tea was average. overall food with satisfaction.

i would recommend this place for the special thali. apart from that if you are expecting a good ambience then you will surely get disappointed but thethalithat is served here makes up for the ambience a little .

food was surprisingly tasty. i ate like a boar even though i had had a buffet breakfast in one of the hotels. ordered a deluxethaliand a plate of kadhi chawal. all the items kn thethaliwere cent percent on taste.what i did not like was the warmth and the service which i remembered as a kid.

i was very much amazed by the quality of the food that the chotiwala serves. we had ordered punjabithaliand one punjabi naan and one aalu pyaj paratha all the food was very nice in taste and the chola were awesome in test the rates were very reasonable which makes it a perfect place for family outing

it was great experience at rishikesh. it is very famous restaurant since last 63 years. i must recommend this to people.

punjabi specialthali: it includes dal makhni, kadhi pakoda, pulao rice, mixed veg sabji, paneer kadai, papad, roti and raita. just full meal which makes you happ with best taste.

south indianthali: just superb mouth watering taste it was. 3 sabji, rice , roti and papad

chole samosa : taste was just superb

very good experience in rishikesh.

this place is not for snacks and fast food. i went there for tea and snacks and the taste was very bad. i thinkthaliand main course food will be better but even the special tea was tasteless and the price was also comparatively high regarding these food.

after a beautiful little tired journey of neelkanth mahadev we found this place near ramjhoola taxi stand
we ordered for 2 masala dosa and one specialthali, dosa was tasty , specialthaliwas average except gulab jamun because that was hot & testy we get a small bottle water with thali, 4 tawa butter roti,dal makhni,mix veg ,kadi,jeera rice, potato chips, and superb gulab jamun,
but i was disappointed when i asked for some onion that was extra chargeable, and i ordered for one tawa roti that was also late, i think there were short of staff

best food... very tasty. triedthalin punjabi food. all three chotiwala has almost same taste and ambience. heritagethaliis too much for single person.

food served is good ! service is quick. owner is rude but it matters least. they host a variety of thalis. amazing range ofthalistarting from 149 rs to 450 rs for special one. best place to relish on desi cuisine. they have a upper sitting which showcases the ganges river. must visit !

over hyped place. noodles cold . waiters untrained and slow. ambience like local restaurant .thaliwas good in taste specially dal makhni.
nothing great in choti wala except for the guy sitting like a dummy at the enterace.
concluding : if you are from a metro city , then don’t visit this place. bet you won’t like it

visited this place in january. we had there special thali.thalicontained rice, raita, paneer gravy, mix veggie, rotis, curry, dal, gulab jaamun.
food was average but i loved gulab jaamun the most ❤️
the ambience was great because it is besides ganga ghat 😇

my experience was okayish. i feel it is a bit overhyped. chole bhature is a must try whereasthalican be missed. it does get crowded so make sure you reach on time. the guy at entrance is great attraction.

recently visited chotiwala. they had employed a human mascot representing the name. it was funny but attractive. ordered a regular thali, paneer butter masala minithaliand a masala dosa. the sambar and dosa were a little odd sweet. rest of the food however was good.
