i had heard great things about chotiwala however the place turned out to really dud. the location is amazing but same can't be said about the food. the service is poor and place is really unhygienic. they have ruined the brand image of chotiwala. one should avoid this outlet and visit the original branch on the other side of ram jhula.

quality of food is ok 9/10.
but the service is very slow 5/10.
taste of food is good 9/10.
cleanness of restaurant is good 9/10.
seating comfort 8/10.
the best part is the person seating outside the restaurant with a choti for that 10/10.

this place right next to ram jhula , there are 2 chotiwalas , we tried the first one. food was good, tried punjabi thali - which is all fixed no refills, dosas ,pao bhaji , shahi paneer (the serving was quite a lot for a dish). they serve continental and various indian thalis like bangla gujarati , though we did not try that .there are two sitting area - normal dhaba type and second ac section.
the prices are on higher side , it’s as good as as fine dining restaurant in delhi. the non ac siting area is also not comfortable.

food you cannot eat. service which is pathetic. what worst can it be. never recommend this place. we ordered food what we get is spices

came here on a whim with a group of friends as we were in the area and had a great experience overall. we weren't sure what to order but the staffs were helpful and recommended us some great dishes and every single one of them was incredible.we will be back for sure

i will highly not recommend to eat here.
- we went to chotiwala by the ganges.
- we ordered our food and not able to finish it because of multiple reason.
like first we did not get the food which we have ordered. second food was so spicy that we could not able to finish it.
- we ordered cold coffee with ice cream taste was good but as per price the quantity was less.
- i would say that they are ruining the renowned chotiwala name.
- waiters are ignorant.
- view is nice from restaurant.
- as compare to their price food quantity is very less.

the place has amazing location at laxman jhula parking. the taste is awesome as per "delhiwala". we had paneer naan thali that was amazing. overall good experience. sandwich and pav bhaji were also good. tea was average. overall food with satisfaction.

arguably the most renowned place in rishikesh, didn't really live up to the hype for me. the place definitely is good, but not really worth the hype.

i would recommend this place for the special thali. apart from that if you are expecting a good ambience then you will surely get disappointed but the thali that is served here makes up for the ambience a little .

i read about this on almost every blog that i read before travelling to rishikesh. we had finished our rafting and we were super hungry. so we headed here straight thinking we could eat a satisfactory meal. but the food was majorly disappointing. it made me wonder what so many people who praised this place ate here to praise it so much. we ate quite a few things and found everything disappointing.
