too much aginomoto ...... i would rather callrestaurantas aginomoto specialist !!!! rubbish and waste !!! yes service is good but food ....

now this is what i call an outstandingrestaurantwith the very professional service.food is the best in town.cant compare their meal with anyone.no one matches their standards.highly recommended.

great wholesome and comforting food. great service too as the owners are very friendly! this littlerestaurantis always on my list of top takeaways! i especially love their indochinese dishes and the chicken saag is amazing! it's a smallrestaurantbut a very good one. =)

it's a very good indian restaurant, that serves authentic indian food. not really close to the city, but worth the journey, if you like some authentic indian food. price is very affordable, the decor of therestaurantvery simple not too flash. very nice place to catch up with friends and family.

my friends and i go here on a regular basis for lunch and it is simply delicious. lamb is always tender and the naan is amazing. staff are friendly,restaurantis lovely and the lunch special is very well-priced. highly recommended.

every time my wife and i visit we are welcomed by the lovely people that work here.through my work some years ago i met shankar who was a customer of my company.
since then he and urvi (his wife) have welcomed us many times to theirrestaurantand have given us the very best in hospitality and beautiful food.
they have become good friends and that is a big part of why we keep coming back.
nothing is too much trouble and the quality of the food is always of the highest standard.
they have worked hard and their success can be measured by the number of happy customers 7 days per week.
we will contour to support chilli masala for many years.
it truely is “ fine dining at a reasonable price”

my partner and i love this place, no other indianrestaurantin lower hutt compares. our usual order is paneer tikka masala and a chicken do pyaza/bhuna/butter. very consistent quality. my partner thinks the naan is too chewy some times however i love it. the only bone i can pick is that their onion bhaji comes in balls, not flakes. that is just my preference though.

definitely give this place a chance, you will not be disappointed

love this place. highly recommended. have been there so many times and it never disappoints us.
went there on a sat and ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, lamb madras, lamb korma and a tandoori chicken. i have tried other tandoori chicken before and i did not like it as it was blend. the tandoori chicken was well seasoned and tender. it goes well with the cucumber yogurt dip. 
definitely one of the best indian restaurants i have been to. almost all my indian friends love this place as well. you know an indianrestaurantis good when it's recommended by indians right!

my wife and went on monday evening for a quick meal after work.
i had my starter of onion barji which was very filling with very subtle taste.
main was a medium heat chicken tikka masala it is a favourite of mine and the meat dish was full of big chunks of chicken in a beautiful thick sauce.
thisrestaurantcontinues to rank at the top of the list for many of the local indian community.no prizes for guessing why.

🍛fish masala - it tastes amazing! with its special spices, it has a mild touch of chili flavor but strong and lingering tastes of fine curry.
🍛vegetable jaipuri - i ordered hot and it is truly hot🔥but it goes perfect with naans and rice! finished them all without guilt.
🍛service - staffs are friendly and nice. but you need to wait at least 20 minutes to be fed. prompt service of offering water. by the way it’s a really good place for vegetarians.
🍛my husband’s friend (a native indian) highly recommended this place and it seems his favoriterestaurantin wellington. worth a visit if you like indian food!

best indianrestaurantin wellington!! dont ever waste your money going anywhere else. if you want a decent curry and leave satisfied and happy then this is the place to go.

we always go here for lunch because dinner time it gets really busy n food doesn’t taste the way it suppose to be anyways
we went with my family
food we good but we wanted to try masala chai the person behind the counter said they can’t make it so we asked why as we were the one in therestaurantleft he said we about to close but it was only 12pm something.
so we pay n went away then we saw dad got over charged. we really disappointed with the service.
but food at lunch time they make is really nice.

good indian food. cheap good lunch deals. and they deliver too! we had curry lunches organised at our work place ever now and then. they take a long time to cook the food though so you have to order ahead of time. its the same when eating in therestaurantbut its worth the wait. for takeaways better to call them first for your order, then drive to supermarket to buy drinks, then pick up the food. i recommend their biryani.

we had lunch at chilli masala in lower hutt today & we were very impressed with the prompt service, price & ambiance in the restaurant. there were many people already when we entered but the tables were quickly cleared, the bathrooms were very tidy. the food was out of this world & of a very high standard. we had mild butter chicken, medium butter chicken, chicken saag & lamb saag with garlic & plain naan. the naan bread was freshly cooked & thinner than we had at otherrestaurantwhich made it crunchy but soft. the price was very reasonable for lunch which included naan bread with an average of $10 per person. we will definitely visit therestaurantagain.

recently went back - three curries were all bland and disappointing.  maybe they have become too popular

we have been going to thisrestaurantsince it was a tiny little take away shop. the lunch special is very reasonable.  i think they are the best indianrestaurantin lower hutt/petone.
