ok the crab fries are pretty good but in case you were wondering there is no actual "crab" in crab fries. basically fries with old bay crab seasoning. but good and the creamy white cheesy sause is great! goodplaceto watch game but not many hot chicks.

this is the worstplacei have ever been in my life. the staff is a joke. we went for a wwe event...for happy hour the tender told us the socials and never came over to us to order anything for the happy hour specials...came over 3 mins after and said we are too late. then after the event we went back hoping to have better service. we ordered food and drinks...as we are sitting there having a convo with our fiends, this drunk guy comes up and wants to fights us for no reason. the tender sees this gong on and did nothing at all. after this man left, i asked the tender if he knew him and he said yes and i said how could u let him stay on that condition. he didn't really have a answer. so if i were you i would stay away. it's a awfulplaceto eat or drink

my friends and i love this chickie's and pete's! always great food always great service. i've got the lobster roll twice now and it's bangin that alone gives theplacea 5 for me :)

crab fries & eagles game. this is a greatplaceto kick back watch your favorite team play while dining on some pretty decent food...i've never had a bad experience here and i've dined here several times. the crab fries are the best!!!

don't waste your money!. i had only been at c&p's once, theirplacein the ne where i experienced the joy of crab fries for the first time. when we went to the south philly location this evening, i couldn't wait to taste them again.

but first off, the waitress couldn't do separate checks for our party of four, saying it's not allowed. other chain restaurants manage to do this for parties of 20+ people, and they can't handle four? so we had to figure out how to equitably split a check with non-drinkers and expensive-martini drinkers, and one person who came late and only had one drink and no food. what a pita. anyway, the waitress told us the food comes out as it's ready, so it may not all come out at the same time. ok, whatever...as long as it's hot. the crab fries were the first disappointment. couldn't taste any crab seasoning, but they were loaded with salt. the "jumbo lump crab cake" entree, at $21.95, consisted of four *appetizer-sized* crab cakes, and that was it. my crab cake sandwich ($13.95) was barely warm, and the crab cakes were just meh. they were also loaded with salt. one of our group even complained that their pickles were the worst she's ever had. that's pretty pitiful when someone complains about pickles, for goodness' sake.

anyway, i don't know if the quality has suffered because c&p's is now franchised, but i wouldn't recommend the packer ave. location to my worst enemy. i don't mind paying premium prices if the quality is there, but not when the food is bland, overpriced and cold.

lousy food. after all the build up about a bigplacecoming to s philly near the sports complex, i waited anxiously for chickie and petes to open.

several years later i wonder why i was so enamored. the food portions are small and usually not up to mediocre standards and the service is horrible. the waitress seem to spend more time disappearing than serving. the food takes way to long to serve and is overpriced for the portions, the bartenders seem to forget that they are there to sell drinks and not spend time with the girls at the bar who don't spend and tip even less.

eat up town and come to the game later. but avoid this well decorated pig sty and get a roast pork or decent fries anywhere else.

not good. why anyone thinks thisplaceis good is a mystery to me. loud, over-priced, generic frozen crinkle fries they try to pass off as some original "crab fries". whatever. we hated it.

there are so many better places to go. don't waste your time.

ugh- get over this place!. lets just all realize thisplaceblows! get over the hype!

the food is mediocre at best, the service is horrible and the beer is overpriced.

six people at a table all order beers and fries- waitress comes out with one beer and fries- doesn't come back for 15 minutes with the rest of the order. when she does return, she drops off the rest and never comes back!
this is not just an isolated incident! i've been dragged there multiple times and more or less the same scenario plays out. never have i ever left less than 20% tip anywhere but, i can't bring myself to give these servers more than they deserve which 90% of the time is nothing.

if you are absolutely addicted to the food (and don't mind that its circulated on a conveyer belt in the kitchen constantly getting reheated) try the one on robbins it has slightly better service (although as soon as you put your fork down, you get the bill and get kicked out of your table)

can you say "attytood"?. went to meet a friend before a recent phils day game. bar was just moderately crowded, not a complete zoo. but unfortunately there were just 2 bartenders, and of course they had a constant stream of waitresses placing orders for the many tables, since it was lunch hour. needless to say, service sucked. waited 15 minutes for my first drink. then was told that i had a bad attitude. thisplaceis severely overrated and has become way too successful for their own good. not sure what the hype is about, the food is average at best. there are other alternatives people, don't reward this chain with your business.

to be fair, i won'tplacea vote.... if there wasn't such a hype about this place, i wouldn't be surpised or dissatisfied by the fast food quality meals thats served here... but with all of the rave reviews that i read and hear on radio ads, i not only thought that i was missing out on something great.. i felt odd about not going to this local landmark sooner... i know that seafood restaurants in general are hard to come by in this area, but thisplaceisn't worth paying top dollar for, while eating what could be made better at home... it has a great atmosphere that i could see going for, to drink and have a few appetizers.. but the food isn't worth planning an evening around...
this one falls into the same column where geno's and pats are both located.... they're all local legends, but there's no one left alive to tell why they're legends...

ripoff. thisplaceis so overated it's ridiculous. company had christmas party here, had too much to drink so followed rules and got a dd, left car overnight on lot. i did not see any signs about overnight parking, just don't leave car and go to sporting events. came back car towed $180.00 then when i pay they give me a parking ticket from city for $41.00 written at 5:05 in morning. c&p won't do anything for you either. the food is nothing special nice bar to watch game. never again

nice atmosphere good food. this isplaceyou can go anytime and be comfortable and eat great food the magooby is the best and its' all you need in sandwich. crabs for everyone! great.
