chickie's & pete's south philadelphia

not good. why anyone thinks this place is good is a mystery to me. loud, over-priced, generic frozen crinkle fries they try to pass off as some original "crab fries". whatever. we hated it.

there are so many better places to go. don't waste your time.

overated!. didnt like food at all, loud and obnoxius atmosphere, and poor service.

by far the worst food and service i have ever had!!!! i will never go back!!!

crabby fries overrated. i went there out of curiosity after hearing about the fries... they were okay. went to another location to give it another try... same thing. you get the immediate feeling that you're just in another cookie-cutter sports bar serving fast food. for all those folks out there that they're suing over trademark infringement... if crabby fries sounds like anything you have on your menu, remove it... it's not worth fighting for and it might give you a bad name.

lousy. i have tried lunch at chickie and pete' s twice and honestly it was twice to many times. how can you order wings and they come out one minute later, obviously they were sitting there. crab fires were good but please get over yourselves, do you have to put them on everything. i wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

just didn't like the food. i had lunch at the c & p in terminal e at the philly airport. i wanted to try my first real philly cheesesteak; my server recommended the "south philly" version and the crab fries so i bit.
the famous crab fries were good, but i didn't taste the "crab seasoning" they were supposedly seasoned with; what i did get was a month's supply of salt. i couldn't finish the fries and i had to have two sodas as my mouth was parched.
the cheese steak was also disappointing. first, it's huge. big, thick sub bun, sliced beef, onions, red peppers, jalapenos, cheese sauce. the cheese sauce was bland, unflavorful and didn't taste like cheese. the beef was also bland. i would rate chicago italian beef as much tastier than what i had.
i am not assuming that this was representative of all philly cheesesteak places. i'm sure there are much better ones out there. this place, however, did not make a good first impression on me. the bar itself and the service were both great. hoping for better luck next time.

total scam. chickie and petes is a total scam!!!

park any nice car in thew lot and you get towed while your in there eating.

cost me $200 to get my car after spending $60 inside.

they must be in with the tow companys

ugh- get over this place!. lets just all realize this place blows! get over the hype!

the food is mediocre at best, the service is horrible and the beer is overpriced.

six people at a table all order beers and fries- waitress comes out with one beer and fries- doesn't come back for 15 minutes with the rest of the order. when she does return, she drops off the rest and never comes back!
this is not just an isolated incident! i've been dragged there multiple times and more or less the same scenario plays out. never have i ever left less than 20% tip anywhere but, i can't bring myself to give these servers more than they deserve which 90% of the time is nothing.

if you are absolutely addicted to the food (and don't mind that its circulated on a conveyer belt in the kitchen constantly getting reheated) try the one on robbins it has slightly better service (although as soon as you put your fork down, you get the bill and get kicked out of your table)

can you say "attytood"?. went to meet a friend before a recent phils day game. bar was just moderately crowded, not a complete zoo. but unfortunately there were just 2 bartenders, and of course they had a constant stream of waitresses placing orders for the many tables, since it was lunch hour. needless to say, service sucked. waited 15 minutes for my first drink. then was told that i had a bad attitude. this place is severely overrated and has become way too successful for their own good. not sure what the hype is about, the food is average at best. there are other alternatives people, don't reward this chain with your business.

chickies and petes crab fries are the best fries in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the best fries. the best crab fries! omg! they are delicious.

to be fair, i won't place a vote.... if there wasn't such a hype about this place, i wouldn't be surpised or dissatisfied by the fast food quality meals thats served here... but with all of the rave reviews that i read and hear on radio ads, i not only thought that i was missing out on something great.. i felt odd about not going to this local landmark sooner... i know that seafood restaurants in general are hard to come by in this area, but this place isn't worth paying top dollar for, while eating what could be made better at home... it has a great atmosphere that i could see going for, to drink and have a few appetizers.. but the food isn't worth planning an evening around...
this one falls into the same column where geno's and pats are both located.... they're all local legends, but there's no one left alive to tell why they're legends...

good place. the beer is cold, the food is good, but the service at the bar is awful. i just went to the location in the airport and it's the same - bad service. the corporate training program is being followed at all locations.

inevitably, i get the same thing here, every time~ cheesefries & mussels white! i try to get things that i wouldn't necessarily make myself...but this calls me! this bowl of mussels is huge. delicious & consistant every time. the mussels are so plump & the flavor of the broth is so amazing.
