very good value for money and the fried chicken are hands down, really delicious. if you’re around the area during lunchtime, they do have options forricesets that will only cost you $12.

chikoko rises from a humble family establishment to a well-known local eatery for korean fried chicken. chikoko is famous for crunchy chicken skin and juicy meat, and is a perfect combination with pickled radish and soju. the order takes time, but it is worth the wait. besides fried chicken, you can enjoy jumeokbap (seaweedriceballs), ramen with tteokbokki (rice cake), bibimbap (rice bowl), etc.

when chikoko first opened, the service used to be friendly and attentive. the chicken came with a very good portion and price. most importantly, the flavours were superior.

chikoko, a newly emerged egotistical celebrity, is now less likeable. the pricing increased but the food quality declined. suddenly portion was much more humble. on one occasion, we visited the restaurant at 8 pm and was informed by the staff that the kitchen would close in 15 minutes. as regulars, we ordered straight away after being seated at our tables, and to our surprise, that very same staff informed us that “the kitchen is now closed”. mind you, the closing time is 9 pm. honestly, if you cannot commit to doing business properly, then don’t bother accepting customers.

it used to be excellent, but now it is okay.

p.s. home delivery is available but cash only

got the tteokbokki (noodles andricecakes) for only $13 and there was a rlly good amount, and half the sweet soy chicken for $19 where most places it’s around $22. (they serve their chicken with pickled radishes like most korean places) everything tastes amazing, highly recommended!!😍

this is a pretty good place for korean fried chicken in hurstville. we had the original fried chicken which was good (crispy batter and juicy chicken) and ramen which was okay as well (probably better to get it with cheese orricecakes next time). happy to come back to try their other fried chicken flavours!!

i'm a major fan for fired  chicken, what  chi koko has to offer is just average at best. we ordered  the boneless  chicken  with chess , half chikoko fired chicken and chicken  withricecake and sweet  chilli source .

all 3 chicken dish is a little  dry, batters are crispy  but thick and flavorless, there is no seasoning, my local  kfc can produce better  wicked wings.

left this place  feeling  unsatisfied and thinking they are overpriced

the interior was lovely. the chicken was decently priced. half chicken was a lot in terms of portion size. we ordered soft tofu stew, but were disappointed that the restaurant did not have side dishes. enjoyed thericeballs (though that dish might just be suitable for 1 person)
self service water available as byo food and water is not allowed.

great korean cuisine of all types. surprisingly cheapricedishes, the famous chicken is a bit more expensive than that but well worth it too.

came here with a group of friends and was pleased with the service, however food was not my fav.

first impressions: good service however would not let us bring our drinks in or have it out. (couldn't even drink my own water!! perhaps it is a health regulation thing? didn't really mind though.)

food: ordered the fried chicken and the tteokbokki+fried chicken. the soup base/sauce flavouring wasn't as tasty as i'd hoped, however the other friends thought it tasted amazing so perhaps it was just my palate liking.ricecakes were good, fried chicken was amazing and not greasy, was also perfectly juicy and tender. price was decent for the portions!

overall decent korean food, would recommend fried chicken over tteokbokki!

just 3 weeks old, this restaurant is becoming a must place to visit in hurstville.  just along the forest road, its not difficult to locate, although it could use a little lighting outside so you could see the name of the restaurant.

we arrived around 6:45 pm, but the place is not yet packed.  once inside we were welcomed by the staff and asked if we will be dining in or take away.  since there were still a lot of vacant tables i suggested near the window but suggested the ones by the wall.  the reason being the floor has a slope not good for the bub.  isn't that nice?  i rarely see staff being attentive to their customers.  anyway, ambiance and staff was already winning me.

for the food, we ordered half chi koko boneless fried chicken, half boneless red koko, pork belly ramen and steam rice.  our ramen arrived first, then thericefollowed by the chicken.  the ramen smelled funky according to the husband when it was served but.....yes...but it was good and he slurped it all the way to dry land.  the chicken was an absolute hit.  it was crunchy and tasty on the outside and the meat inside was juicy.  the bub enjoyed it very much.  the red koko was sweet with a hint of chili.  the ramen on the other hand was spicier.  but the overwhelmingly so.  it was the perfect burn.  the bub even had three refills.  and the size was good enough for two to share.

i have nothing but good praise for this shop.  oh, i hope the serving size could go a bit bigger.  the one with korean fried chicken in strathfield serves almost the same menu and rate but more serving.  other than that it was a good meal.  total wallet damage for the meal was $62.  must must visit again.
