crepes, quiche, coffee. we enjoyed a wonderful lunch @ chezellethis morning. babs ordered fromage crepes & i had the quiche d' jour. my quiche consisted of andouille sausage, sundried tomatoes, & craw fish. the crepes were airy and incredibly tasty (yes she offerd me a small bite). my quiche couldn't have been any more different than her crepe. the sausage had its traditional bite, but i had a difficult time locating the craw fish. otherwise it was quite good. i highly recommend chezelle& i can't believe that i'd never been there.
their hours however are limited. i don't think they are open in the evening, but i could be wrong.

chezelleis quickly becoming my favorite brunch spot in kc. they have an awesome selection of crepes to choose from and their lobster bisque is delicious. the last few times i've gone i've actually opted for a bowl of the bisque instead of a crepe! i usually go on the weekend around brunch time and would suggest that you try to get in early because the line can get lengthy pretty quickly.

the staff is not friendly. they seem to be irritated that your even trying to talk to them. i asked if hot chocolate was teal or a mix. he told me it was real hot chocolate. it was so nasty i couldn't finish it. it was a mix that was burnt. to bad i got it to go. we planned on going back the following week for food. we were eating at blue bistro that day, but we never went back to chezellebc we weren't impressed.

great savory crepe. had the savory chezellecrepe: sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, chicken, pesto, spinach topped with mozzarella and marina sauce. my only disappointment was in not ordering a second crepe! it was outstanding. as in typical french fashion, expect a bit of a wait when dining here. it's worth it though.

the ambiance of this creperie is spot on: a small taste of france in kansas city's westside.

magnifique!!!. chezellewas the perfect spot for our girls' luncheon! we were able to enjoy the beautiful day with outside dining under umbrellas. we thoroughly enjoyed our savory crepes, and the dessert items that sounded too good to resist. the piece de resistance was the "au chocolat" !!!: chocolate crepes with an absolute 'to die for' chocolate mousse filling, topped with raspberry and chocolate sauces. i can't get back to kc soon enough!!!

great ambience. we could not decide which crepe we enjoyed more. those in our party shared taste bites as each diner concluded his/her choice was certainly the most delicious. we especially enjoyed the dessert crepes and my husband who eats healthy portions found the servings to be more than adequate in quantity.
we distinctly enjoyed the ambience from the lending library to the art displayed in this former theater. the wait staff was friendly and helpful. we will definitely return to chezellewhen next in kc.

"like" isn't the right word.. j'adore chez elle! i had the chezelle- grilled chicken, spinach, mushrooms, pesto sauce, marinara, and mozerrella. i normally don't like half of the ingredients but i could not get enough of this! the peach melba smoothie was also very good.

the real thing. amazing!. i've had crepes in france and usually have to settle for the americanized version here in the states. much to my delight, chezellehas the real thing. these are as good as any crepes in france. wonderful creations for either entrée or dessert. they even have good decaf coffee and espresso drinks. great staff and a fun comfortable space. i highly recommend this restaurant.

simplistic anarchy. for a simple crêperie, the menu left me paralyzed in thought trying to decipher which combination of flavors would appease me the best. the options are impressive and having eaten at my fair share of fantastic crêperies, i feel comfortable saying chezelleprovides an "above average" crepe that can be paired with a laundry list of accompaniments sure to satisfy most anyone. all in all, not the best crepes in the world, but surely the best in the kansas city area (so far)!

craving chez elle. love it, love it, love it. both the chezelleand petite maison crepes are wonderful. we ate on the patio this morning for brunch, and it was so good, i considered driving out of my way to westside for breakfast tomorrow. glad i checked their website, as they are closed on mondays. tuesday, perhaps!

tres magnifique!. sweet or savory it's a winner in both. find a better chocolate eclair in town-naploeon's-nah-i don't think so! chezelleis simply the chic-est place to see and be seen. wonderful nice eggy crepe batter done in so many delightful ways, we tried the chicken and asperagus with guyere and the toasted walnut with brie and fig. both were outstanding and the coffee is perfect. lounging on a sunday morning in the bright and cheery bistro like dining room was a wonderful way to start our day-yours too, try it!!! i'm going back for the crepe with cherries and ice cream next-c u there!
