excellent!. this is a new favorite. this is a great breakfast place. they serve mostly crepes that are huge and packed with fresh, creative, yummy fillings. crepes run from sweet dessert crepes to hearty crepes with meats and cheeses. the coffee is also excellent. if you go on a weekend morning, be prepared to wait in line to order but know that it is worth the wait. prices are extremely reasonable for the quality.

...whoever owns this place put some money into the décor; everything is new and inviting. there are quite a few stairs to climb to the entrance, but don't let that deter you if you have trouble with stairs, there is a ramp on the left side of the building.

fabulous! as someone who loves crepes and is gluten and dairy free, i was able to enjoy breakfast and coffee freely! we are from tulsa and we're excited to find this place!

crepes, quiche, coffee. we enjoyed a wonderful lunch @ chez elle this morning. babs ordered fromage crepes & i had the quiche d' jour. my quiche consisted of andouille sausage, sundried tomatoes, & craw fish. the crepes were airy and incredibly tasty (yes she offerd me a small bite). my quiche couldn't have been any more different than her crepe. the sausage had its traditional bite, but i had a difficult time locating the craw fish. otherwise it was quite good. i highly recommend chez elle & i can't believe that i'd never been there.
their hours however are limited. i don't think they are open in the evening, but i could be wrong.

delicious and refreshing. the atmosphere is literally like a french bakery. although the staff is kind of slow it is worth it in the end you won't be sorry to eat from here.

delicious crepes in an old movie theatre. neighborhood getting here looks a little iffy but once you're here, there's little shops & restaurants. order at the window & they bring it to you.

the first time i came here i was with my camp and we came in and i ordered a savory crepe with the salmon and capers and let me tell you it was delicious. 😋 the waitresses take forever and barely ask you what you would want. they always seem to be in a rush and are stuck up and look at you nasty. if you are new then i recommend trying the savory crepe which is extremely hard to find, and fill you up very fast. the sweet crepes are good! also if you are in a hurry then get the sweets but the macaroons are the most delicious. the decor is nice and comfortable. the menu that was not crepes looked enjoyable but the lobster soup or whatever it is called is the best.

chez elle is quickly becoming my favorite brunch spot in kc. they have an awesome selection of crepes to choose from and their lobster bisque is delicious. the last few times i've gone i've actually opted for a bowl of the bisque instead of a crepe! i usually go on the weekend around brunch time and would suggest that you try to get in early because the line can get lengthy pretty quickly.

i walked to this place thinking it was going to be expensive, but it was not. i took a look at their menu and instantly fell in love because they are a creperie (they also have wine!)! service was great & quick. the only reason i do not give it a 5 is because the table i was at was wobbly & could be fixed quickly by tightening the bolts. the food was great & i will definitely eat there again, soon.

le franco. sweet and tart in every bite!

-----23 oct, 2014-----

hidden gem in the heart of the city.. off the beaten path, but worth the drive, the old house turned crepere has a relaxed laid back atmosphere. the le franco crepe was nothing short of spectacular, cool creme atop a crisp and delicate crepe filled with warm fig compote and caramelized green apple and brie. tart and sweet in every delicious bite. add in a peach french soda and macaroons and your meal is complete, like going to france without leaving kansas city. will definitely be back here every time we travel through this wonderful city!

amazing food and service. best lobster bisque i've ever had!! the crepes, quiche, and salad that i've tried have all been to die for. they were out of an ingredient for a cocktail that my friend ordered, so the owner personally came to our table and offered us a round on the house. can't wait to come back and bring friends.

the staff is not friendly. they seem to be irritated that your even trying to talk to them. i asked if hot chocolate was teal or a mix. he told me it was real hot chocolate. it was so nasty i couldn't finish it. it was a mix that was burnt. to bad i got it to go. we planned on going back the following week for food. we were eating at blue bistro that day, but we never went back to chez elle bc we weren't impressed.
