wow horrible service the waiter just put all his dirty dishes on our table to take our order. refills take forever an the waiter just slides it across the table on his way to the next destination. mcdonald's has more tact.

we got some chips and queso. i like that they don’t charge extra for taco meat. brian and i decided to just split the chicken tenders because they give you so much. we didn’t want to have to take food home. even between the two of us, we couldn’t finish it. april had some kind of sandwich, but i can’t remember which one. cory had the chicken alfredo with no veggies. apparently it was sans flavor also. he had to send it back for something else. he ended up getting chicken tenders instead. they actually came out with it pretty quickly. i thought our server was pretty good, but brian was not impressed. he must have been having a bad day because he was being particularly tough on her. i like cheddar’s, though. they have good, cheap food. =) tags: cheddar's this entry was posted on monday, march 14th, 2011 at 8:11 pm and is filed under restos . you can follow any responses to this entry through the rss 2.0 feed. you can leave a response , or trackback from your own site. one response to “ch

horrible. first time ever eating here and i will never come back. i'm a dallas chef and let me tell you, when my customers ask if we can work with them on something the answer is always yes. their lunch combo consists of very simple food. i was going to order the half club with a lunch portion of the chix caesar pasta salad. they already have a caesar on that combo. just throw some chicken and pasta in it and charge me 3 or 4 bucks, right? nope. the waiter, clearly uneducated on the menu, tries to bs me into saying everything is specifically weighed out and portioned so they can't do it. i'd have to order two separate meals. there are no lunch portions and everything is huge! he (my waiter) also said he didn't know about a few things on the menu. seriously?? i'd send my wait staff right home if i ever caught wind of them being unhelpful to a guest. unbelievable.... 'f'!!!!

chedders is fine. basically u pay for what u get! the food isn't gonna blow u away, but the price will? lol

lots of food for a great price. loud and busy.

cheap & average. i've never had a bad experience here. all of my waiters have been friendly. food and drinks are cheap and good. however, this place won't knock your socks off. it is a reliable restaurant, but nothing super outstanding. love the spinach dip though!

good variety, but only above average. while the price and selection are pretty decent compared to the other choices in the area, overall it is only a little above average. i usually get the new orleans pasta, which is pretty decent even though it is nothing compared to what you find from other chains. i have also tried the baked spasagna, which is quite good. a crowd favorite for those that i dine with is their chicken tender platter. they apparently get the most bang for their buck with this. they don't skimp on the portion with this, which leaves my co-worker friends all full and happy.

other favorites of ours include their grilled tilapia with mango salsa, key west chicken & shrimp and their vegetable plate. i think i'll actually try the last item next time. i had a bite of their shepherd's pie and it was decent. most recent dish i ordered is the braised fall-a-part beef roast. while it was okay, i have other better options to choose from for the price i paid. i've tasted many beef roasts and this is only average being that i found it not memorable at all.

good ambience and location, but definitely be prepared to wait a little and to have to ask for glass refills if you come during busy times.

mixed blessings. things i like: great food! chicken fingers and the melt in your mouth croissants, pretty much everything i have tried i like. did i mention the salads? no dried up bagged stuff thrown in a bowl. really fresh with lots of goodies on it. oh and i have to say the best peach bellini i have ever had.when i think of cheddar's i think of those.... and i rarely drink. one is good enough for me,but it is so awesome. wait staff has been good and they and the managers are quick to fix any problems.
things i don't like: because they do have awesome food the wait is often incredible,unless you go 4:30 or earlier on the weekend. my least favorite part is the noise. forget planning on having a conversation unless you are sitting next to each other.
so other than the drawbacks of the wait and the noise (and the distance from my house) we would probably go more often. sometimes you just have to feed that craving for peach bellinis and chicken fingers.

they do one thing right.... i have eaten at cheddars a few times and i've never been impressed until i had their chicken tenders. their chicken tenders are hands down the best i have ever had. get a salad, wrap, or just plain chicken tenders with fries and you will not be disappointed!

i recommend getting their smokey bbq ranch sauce. they only list is with their smokehouse burger but it's delicious with their chicken tenders!

love the food . hate the long waiting list.

i absolutely love this place and have always gotten great service. i always have trouble deciding between the buffalo chicken wrap and the cajun pasta. the portions are very sizable for the money too.

not fabulous. i rarely write negative reviews but i ate at a cheddars in texas that made this one look like a dennys...yuck.
the mashed potatoes tasted sweet, the fries were literally dripping with grease. my husbands steak was tough and over cooked. it was the first time he didn't finish his steak, we refused a take home bags for the meals of 3 people because all 3 of us were unhappy. i was embarrassed to have recommended we try it there.

consistently good. i find myself at cheddars about two times a week because it's just hard to beat the consistently good food and cheap prices. my favorite meal is either the roasted pear spring salad (i like it without chicken) or the philly cheese steak sandwich. the broccoli cheese casserole is always a good choice for a side dish. they also have really good sized margaritas for $3.50. when my husband and i eat here, even with drinks, our bill is almost always under $20.

good food but can be frustrating.... positives:
excellent food, especially for a chain restaurant. best grilled chicken i have ever had... prices are quite reasonable, lots of choices... really, really good food... waitstaff are friendly and they try hard.

negatives:
they seem to always be understaffed, with the exception of hostesses. waitstaff is always slammed while 4-5 people stand up front not doing much. always a wait while you stare at 8-9 clean, empty tables. your tea glass will sit empty even though your server is busting their butt. never once had a manager ask how things are and we hit this place at least once a week.

this place will thrive for now because the food is that good. they will slip in the future however if they dont change things up a bit. people will tire of waiting 20 minutes on a table while seeing them sit empty, while the 4 high school girls at the podium act snotty. also, the servers have no problem telling you that they are over-worked and under-staffed and that is never good, long-term.

c'mon management, this place is a jewel... there are too many new options coming up in norman and moore for you guys to ignore your weaknesses, people will get tired of it and go elsewhere.

great service. our waitress was on point the entire dinner. we were running low on chips, but heavy on the spinach dip. she asked us if we wanted more. we said yes. she came back with hot, fresh chips at no charge. also we didn't have to ask for refills because she gave us refills before we even knew it. the food was great and afforable.
