cheddar's scratch kitchen

second visit. my wife and i enjoyed lunch here today and were very pleased with our meal, we split the chicken strips and had mashed potatoes, and beans and rice as sides, also had an order of their croissants, light , fluffy and delish.
even after sharing the single order we had leftovers which we took home with us, the visit before i had the philly cheese steak sand. it was all i could do to finish it and it was great, we'll be coming here a lot i think !

my wife and i recently tried this café, it was a good pick, good,friendly service and reasonablepricesand the best philly cheese steak sand. i 've had this side of philadelphia !

one of my favorites. cheddar's is the go to restaurant for my family. the atmosphere is always great, food is fantastic, andpricesare very reasonable for the quality & quantity.
the only complaint that i have about the place; they need more locations in wichita. this place is always busy. i guess the word is out, cheddar's is the best.
i take the family there often and many times i have had checks between $40 - $50 for the four of us. that is very good when you consider that you pay almost that at some fast food joints.
my favorite is the chicken pot pie. it is delicious, well priced, and just the right amount of food when coupled with the house salad that comes with it.

our "go to". cheddar's is our "go to" in the norman area. nice atmosphere, not so noisy you can't talk. great menu selection and food, goodpricesand we have always had fantastic service!

that margarita, tho.. food is okay,pricesare affordable, service is decent. really, i love going here for the frozen margaritas. the rim is lined with sweet something, not salt. the texas frozen margarita swirl is 3.50 and that makes me very happy, indeed.

this place rocks all from scratch not like most places around town that have out of a bag heated up food
trust me i have been in the back in about every restaurant all over the metro doing service work and they all have frozen or out of bag food not at cheddars they do it right from scratch like you are supposed to and its goodpricesand portions are big and taste better all there stuff on the menu rocks thanks for cooking real food

good food good prices. well the food is good and thepricesare good too. the portions are plentiful too. the service could be better as most servers here are college age kids trying to make a buck but don't know what true service is.

thepricesare good, but you get what you pay for. the food is mediocre at best, and usually comes at a slightly warm temperature. i like my food hot, so i usually have to send it back to be microwaved. i can only recommend cheddar's if you are short on cash and want a big portion of food.

good food but can be frustrating.... positives:
excellent food, especially for a chain restaurant. best grilled chicken i have ever had...pricesare quite reasonable, lots of choices... really, really good food... waitstaff are friendly and they try hard.

negatives:
they seem to always be understaffed, with the exception of hostesses. waitstaff is always slammed while 4-5 people stand up front not doing much. always a wait while you stare at 8-9 clean, empty tables. your tea glass will sit empty even though your server is busting their butt. never once had a manager ask how things are and we hit this place at least once a week.

this place will thrive for now because the food is that good. they will slip in the future however if they dont change things up a bit. people will tire of waiting 20 minutes on a table while seeing them sit empty, while the 4 high school girls at the podium act snotty. also, the servers have no problem telling you that they are over-worked and under-staffed and that is never good, long-term.

c'mon management, this place is a jewel... there are too many new options coming up in norman and moore for you guys to ignore your weaknesses, people will get tired of it and go elsewhere.

king of comfort food. i can't wait for an excuse to go to norman so i can eat here. i've tried numerous things on the menu and everything i've ever tried has been fantastic. thepricesare very reasonable too, and the portions certainly do not disappoint. i was so bummed when the black eyed pea closed up shop in oklahoma years ago, but now i have cheddars!

the chicken ceasar pasta salad is to die for, i get it every time i go. my neighbors always get the chicken tenders because the breading is better than most places. all i can say for thepricesis that the portion size is proportionate to price from what i've seen.

not that cheesy,. it's just know wonder this place is busy from the time they open to the time they close. great food and good barpricestoo. what can i say? i like some $2 well drinks on a friday after work. the wife and i both ordered burgers and the tower of onion rings (3.99 for 1 order). the long and the short of it was we both took half our burgers home and had onion rings left to boot. which was fine, i have teen at home. he knew i was bringing it home, but i didn't expect to have to count my fingers after i handed it to him.

i l.o.v.e. cheddar's. best croissants ever!! fairprices, fair portions and everything tastes great. not to mention a beautiful atmosphere. eat @ cheddar's!!

affordable casual dining. pros:
thepricesare reasonable.
they have a $6 veggie plate (salad & 4 sides).
vegetarian options on the menu.
pot pie is good.
onion rings are good.

cons:
not the greatest service.
the shepherd pie is not good.
they need to work on their pacing - our salads, appetizer, and entrees all came out at the same time.

fantasticpricesand selection. went to this location for the first time, i was amazed at the variety on the menu and thepricescouldn't be beat, it was very affordable. i'm surprised at all of the poor reviews, perhaps i was lucky with the server and service i had. we will go back and will suggest this cafe to all. i ordered the key west chicken and shrimp (i think that what it was called). it was hot, delievered quickly and very well seasoned. i've paid twice as much for half the quality. i eat out quite often and can't say enough good things about this place.
