overcrowded, blah food.. place is always packed. prices are good, but food isn't that good, and there aren't that many good menu options.

super cheap but always packed!. i love the food here bc there's pretty much something for everyone at a great price but plan on waiting no matter what time of day! i get the ultimate lunch combo...baked potatoe soup is the best :). they also have the best drinks so i always go there for my birthday dinner but they don't sing to you :(

inexpensive. try the spasagna!

love cheddars!!. i have been to the norman cheddars many times since they opened, and my whole family loves it. the prices are incredible, and the food is very good quality. there has only been one visit that wasn't exceptional, and that was quickly rectified by the management. they have many delicious menu items, and a good variety. spinach dip is amazing, the salads are huge and beautiful, and the steaks are better than the local 'steak houses' and far better priced! try it, i know you'll be glad you did.
i believe some of these reviewers must simply enjoy making glib, derogatory remarks, thinking it makes them sound clever... truth is, cheddar's is the best norman has to offer on many levels. i am thrilled they came to town!

good "regular" food for a good price.

great experience. my husband and i had a wonderful first time experience eating at cheddar's. our service was great. sean did a great job. he said he was training but you would have never known it. he was very prompt and took care of our needs with no mistakes whatsoever. the food tasted very good as well. my husband had the steak and shrimp platter and i had the new orleans pasta. we will definitely come back again!

good food, good service, and if ya beat the dinnertime rush you don't have to wait long for a seat. nice environent too.

very average. service was slow, and the food was average at best. the only thing they have going is that it is very affordable for a family of 4, and the atmosphere is very pleasing.

inexpensive. great value for the $. kid friendly.

the service was average and the burger under cooked. the wait staff actually complained about the evening cooking staff. my family fimished their meal long before my second burger was ready i ended up having to take my meal with me because of the wait. at least the manager took the burger off our ticket. will not go back.

a step above humdrum. cheddars is not likely to bowl you over with quality, selection, service or portion size. but as a veteran patron of this chain i can assure you that it's hard to go wrong. i've sampled pretty much everything on the menu and it is all pretty good. and this location being new it's still working out the kinks while doing it in a really nice building.

food. take the nachos for example. built how nachos should be built. the steak? better than what is served as some so-called "steakhouses" in norman and the onion crispys it's served on are a nice touch if you like deep-fried onions. the burger is tasty but a step below that down the road at chili's. their fries have some sort of unique seasoning but it is used very sparingly and i wish they'd put more on there so i could pick out the different flavors. it's good though.

bottom line: the prices are reasonable and food is good (not great). if you're pulling off the highway and want a real meal instead of fast food then you'd do well do stop in and have a go at it. i still go to cheddar's all these years later but mostly when we can't decide on anything else.

gross. cheap. whichever of these two descriptive words impresses you the most will probably determine weather or not you like this place. it is essentially denny's "quality" food with a more polished ambiance. i am disgusted, but didn't spend much on a family meal. 3 people $22.
