worth every dollar. i love the filet mignon and the service is amazing! i didn't know about yummy bleeding steaks until this place. they do steaks right!

never again. took my family there for a wonderful meal. when the bill comes, it's so dark i can barely read it. i see the block/black total, add a tip ($50.00) and leave the cash. i'm sorry i brought the receipt home. guess what? yep, you're right, they had already given themselves an 18% gratuity........ so the waiter made an nice fat tip , twice!!

my girlfriend and i went here for dinner on a tuesday evening. we had reservations for 5pm which is when they opened. due to traffic, we did not make it there until 530 but were still able to seat us.

the waiter came immediately and we ordered old fasioned drinks. if it is your first time going to chama gaucha i would reccomend sampling everything at the salad bar not skipping it to save room for the steak.

the service was great and the steak was as expected, phenomenal. our drinks were well made as well.

out of the three brazilian steakhouses in san antonio chama gaucha is the best in my opinion. i will be going back for sure.

bad experience. we went here recently with a party of 8 people. we had reservations which they did not honor and we had to wait. then the service was horrible. had to wait for drinks and waters to be refilled. had to wait for sides. had to ask repeatedly for things. then the waiter had the nerve to say that we should come earlier next time for better service. first of all we arrived early they just refused to seat us. then, since tip/gratuity is already included in that size of party, they could do whatever they wanted and they'd still get the same tip. we were all not happy with our visit this time and will be considering a different option next time.

expensive but decent. we've been to 3 different brazilian steakhouse around the country. this one is the most expensive. we both agreed that the buffet/salad bar needs labeling. it had a pretty good selection, but not enough items that i particularly cared for. then there is the menu which we never saw so we didn't know what was offered and i had to see that someone else got something and question what it was in order to order it. then there was the sides that came out to the table the bananas tasted like alcohol, not pleasant at all. typically at other brazilian steakhouses they too had the red/green notification to the staff on when/if you want meat etc, but this was ridiculous in that if you had it set to green you weren't given a chance to breathe much less eat anything they would all pounce on your table it seemed at once. i also noticed the staff observing the dining area waiting for the opportunity to pounce on empty tables or diners needing anything it was too much chaos for that expensive and trying to be fancy type of a restaurant i actually noticed a couple of collisions once a staff member actually backed into another who was holding meat and knife, not safe. may be back, but it won't be too soon based on the price and chaos.

i went here for my birthday. the food was absolutely delicious and the staff serving the various meats were on point. at the beginning of our meal, i did not feel like we have a specific waiter assigned to our table. because of this our side dishes did not come as we were beginning to get meat. we did not get cheese bread until three quarters into our meal. (disappointing)
although we had these issues, this restaurant is still one of the best restaurants in san antonio for service, food and atmosphere. and the crème brûlée as a dessert is absolutely exquisite.

impressive. i was invited to celebrate my friend's birthday and was so impressed! the atmosphere was relaxing while waiting for friends. staff asked if wanted a drink while i waited. once we sat, waiters were attentive to every need...offering me my seat followed by placing napkin on my lap...wow! i'm not big on meats because my experience has been eating tough meat. i ate so much! every meat entrée was made to perfection. i will definitely be bringing my family (i'm girl on right of pic). ★

the best brazilian steakhouse in sa. the service is always on point! i love their cheese bread, plantains, and their salad bar! the cuts of meat are delicious. the lamb and ribeye are my absolute favorites but everything is delish. i have been here multiple times and it still never ceases to amaze me.

great food! great customer service!. went here for dinner for my son's 18th birthday and was impressed at how quick and friendly the entire staff was! the food was delicious! our server was so attentive and our glasses were never even close to empty. the manager regularly walked through the restaurant and made small talk with the diners. he was very, very nice. every time we turned around there was more delicious food! go here hungry! it is pricey but worth every penny for a special occasion!

fabulous.......wonderful......amazing. great service. always treated like royalty. amazing food. forget the american steak made the american way. their way us the very best. my favorite restaurant ever. come with an appetite. i highly recommend this restaurant.

food was pretty good if you want to eat a bunch. i would rather pay the same money for a much better 12-16 oz steak than have a bunch of decent meat but that's me. no complaints just quantity vs quality here.

meat expo. wow! quite an experience with friends and or family. great salad bar but don't eat too much of it... the grilled meat never stops coming to your table. gluttony for sure, you have to roll out of the place!

delicious!. i've only been to 1 other brazilian steakhouse before (not in sa) and it wasn't that great so i wasn't really expecting that much from chama gaucha. i was wrong, though - this place is awesome! the service is amazing - the best service i've experienced in a long, long time . .maybe ever.

the food is delicious, too. the salad bar is full of interesting items - definitely worth a trip even though most will be here for the meat. once you flip your card over, the meat comes fast and furious. just about every cut i tried was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious.

the bar is fantastic, the wine list is just ok. the whole evening was insanely expensive but worth it for a special occasion.

i don't always eat at brazilian steakhouses, but when i do, i prefer chama gaucha.
