i enjoyedcavalierso much, from the service to the actual dishes. their menu wasn’t too big, so it really showed they did each dish really well. the beef cheeks were super tender and the flavour of the smoked potato was amazing which pair perfectly. the whole dish was delicious packed full of flavour but with the portion size, it was a good size.

the toasties - i ordered the bolognese and the lamb, cavalierreally so their toasties well and it is their speciality after all. the fillings were super moist but the bread remained really crispy. it can be a quick snack or to sit down and enjoy.

finally, the dessert really hit the spot. the textures and flavour was irreplaceable as the dulce was not too strong but i really recommend sharing the french toast with 1 or 2 other people as it’s quite sweet.

the service was great, i couldn’t fault it as they staff were quite attentive even when we were sitting outside and we didn’t have to wait long for our dishes!

i came here midweek at lunch hour and was surprised to findcavalierwasn't too busy. we ordered the heroes sandwich, tiramisu, and burrata & tomatoes. all were super tasty, although, on the smaller side in terms of portioning. the passionfruit in the tiramisu is such a unique twist! the biggest downside was probably the iced coffee, which was quite watery. the biggest win for me, tying with the good food was the service; all the staff were super friendly and chatty. will 100% return

as a local, i've been going tocavaliersince it opened on oxley street. the coffee is great and my favourite is still the chicken salad. what i really enjoyed about the original location is the vibe. it had a very trendy melbournesque feel to the original location. the combination of timber-copper bespoke furnishing, the dim lighting, and hole-in-the-wall atmosphere created the right note of casual chic.

now at its new premise just around the corner, there is still the same good food, great coffee and friendly staff. unfortunately, it has lost somewhat the trendy appeal to the place. what was a hip establishment now feels more like a hip replacement.

i didn't like the generic furnishing and the artificial plants hanging off the exposed air-ducts. it had a 80s aesthetic that was wrong on many levels. the echo-chamber of the premise also made the dining experience feel like a school canteen.. especially with a screaming kid contributing to that authenticity.

cavalier 2.0 is like a windows vista upgrade from xp. everything about the guts of it is the same, yet different. can we quickly move on to move on to windows 10 before the local customers switch to a mac? please please please re-do the interior deco to bring back the vibe that made the originalcavalierso great and much loved.

we have been fans of the beautifully plated up food and silky smooth coffee atcavalierspecialty coffee since they first opened up about a year ago and became our favourite local with their cosy scandi-chic decor. while their food menu isn’t particularly extensive, everything they bring out is impeccably presented – case in point was their entree special, a chewy italian cheese which had been lightly grilled and came out with a delicate wreath of herbs and sweet cherry tomatoes that gave it just enough of a flavour pop to keep things interesting.

never disappoints. delicious and innovative take on brunch and ever professional and friendly staff. with wine available for an extra special touch, cavalieris a cut above in the café game. the expertly made coffee will please all different preferences. standout dishes are the poached chicken open salad, the burrata, the salmon and of course the decadent tiramisu french toast. all the dishes are modified for the seasons keeping the menu fresh and interesting all year round.

tucked away in crows nest, cavalieroffers a unique brunch experience that's closer to fine dining than your usual cafe fare. the menu is limited but every dish is executed perfectly and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. i highly recommend sharing a savoury dish with your brunch buddy so you both have room for the heavenly tiramisu french toast. 😋

a "hole in the wall" coffee shop which graces the upscale neighbourhood of st leonard, cavalierspeciality coffee is popular for their coffee. however, my flat white was borderline horrible - scorching hot and excessively foamy. the flat white comprises more espresso and tastes bitter and robust. certainly not what i expect.

headed tocavalierfor a truffle breakfast! they are currently serving amazing dishes and drinks with truffles from madame truffles.

we had the following:
- macaroni and cheese with mushroom duxelles, snowy grana padano finished with organic egg yolk
- cheeky jaffle with truffles
- truffle benny
- truffle mocha (first drink with truffles in it!)
the only thing that didn't have any truffles are the coffees 😂

i loved the dishes especially the truffle mocha. we actually swap the jaffle with the macaroni during order but the kitchen made it mistakenly. we took it anyway as i wanted to try the jaffle.cavalierdecided to give us complimentary truffles on them. so nice and thoughtful. friendly service and lovely people! need to visit for those in the area!

cavalierspecialty coffee is a cafe situated in crows nest that does high quality dishes you would expect at fine dining restaurants in a cafe atmosphere. this place is always packed on the weekends but luckily we did not have to wait too long before we got a seat.

we ordered two dishes to share, the first dish was the spanner crab brunch; slow poached queensland spanner crab, jersey milk, smoked sea mayonnaise and basil. this was a highly refined dish with gorgeous plating, the crab was full of flavour and went well with the creamy jersey milk and fragrant basil. however, i did feel the dish was overpriced for the portion size.

tucked neatly between the suburbs of st leonards and crows nest layscavalierspecialty coffee, a cafe pushing the boundaries of casual breakfast catch ups with their dangerous and outrageously decadent dishes. "yummy mummies" of the north shore please step aside because this food game just got serious.

there's no shortage of cafes on the lower north shore but not many serve as delicious food as cavalier specialty coffee in crows nest. . but first, the coffee. i decided to go for the chai latte and it was velvety smooth with just the right balance of sweetness and spice. . pofor the food, we decided to go with the waitstaff's recommendation and ordered the juniper cured ocean trout and the hand made burrata with smoked almonds and cucumber.

for me,cavalieris the best coffee place in crows nest area. their milk coffee is from marvell st coffee and it is always sweet and smooth. black coffees from everywhere. i had a long black coffee from normcore coffee roasters, and it was one of the best coffee experience in sydney. i haven't had any chance to sit down for their nice food so i will visit again for their beautiful coffee and food which is highly recommended by many people.

the cafe gods are smiling - these guys churn out consistently ahh-mazing coffee, food, tunes and service... you may need to wait on weekends but if that's the price to pay for the best food and coffee being served up in sydney then i'm in the queue every single time. this place just makes you smile. keep up sydney, cavalierjust smashed the benchmark and i'm loving it.

i love this place! just like all the reviews below, the signature dish here atcavalier(oldskool newskool salmon) was no surprise to me having been shared on instagram many many times as was the price. however they have just removed it from the menu and made up the new spanner crab brunch as a replacement, which i do like it a lot, but not as much as the old one with salmon and caviar.

the truffles here are so-so, i know i shouldn't say this but i like it better at devon on danks.

cavalier provides much cheaper foods (almost half the price) compared to other fancy cafes, if you don't add extra truffles (+$10). unless it's a mocha or a hot chocolate. you must try them truffle milk!
