highly recommend their tiramisu french toast (layers of different flavour and texture) and their macaroni and cheese with black truffle (strong hearty flavour). we spent around 20 minutes lining for the cafe on a saturday noon, but it was worth the wait. very friendly and helpful staff.

headed to cavalier for a truffle breakfast! they are currently serving amazing dishes and drinks with truffles from madame truffles.

we had the following:
- macaroni and cheese with mushroom duxelles, snowy grana padano finished with organic egg yolk
- cheeky jaffle with truffles
- truffle benny
- truffle mocha (first drink with truffles in it!)
the only thing that didn't have any truffles are the coffees 😂

i loved the dishes especially the truffle mocha. we actually swap the jaffle with the macaroni during order but the kitchen made it mistakenly. we took it anyway as i wanted to try the jaffle. cavalier decided to give us complimentary truffles on them. so nice and thoughtful. friendly service and lovely people! need to visit for those in the area!

i haven't tried this cafe, but the waiting experience was quite unsatisfied. my friends and i went there at lunch time and were told that we are the next one to sit into 6 ppl's table. so, we waited for about 20 mins and finally people left. however, one of the staff told us there was another group before us. after discussing with my friends, we decide to find other places to eat. then the most unpleasant thing happen, that staff, who told us we can't have the table, came out of the cafe and using the ironic sound and smile telling us "see you guys later". i was so unhappy about their attitude towards customers.

food was alright and a little overpriced but i guess food around that area are similar price.

me and my friends got tiramisu french toast, macaroni cheese, beef brisket and benny's something which i forgot the name of. all are quite nice and unique.

service was good because they had very friendly staff :)

it got a bit stuffy inside after a while and seating is a little squishy.

overall not bad.

cavalier is currently undergoing a "truffle fever" as truffles are in season. after hearing this news, there was only one thing in our mind - truffle feast! . truffle mocha $8. truffle mocha is something that you don't usually expect, and we were thrilled to try it. the coffee and the chocolate were well balanced, and the thin slice of truffle with a pinch of salt created more body for the mocha.

was really excited to try the truffle menu with my main since i missed out last year. the wait was alright for a sunday afternoon. the truffle menu was just an option to have truffle on any of their existing dishes for an extra $10 per dish. we got it on two of the dishes: the pork neck pate on dark rye, and the beef brisket. unfortunately because there was insufficient heat from the dishes to hear the truffle, we couldn't taste it at all. in saying this, the dishes were still really tasty. i do however highly recommend the truffle mocha which is infused into the milk and also the tiramisu.

cavalier specialty coffee is a cafe situated in crows nest that does high quality dishes you would expect at fine dining restaurants in a cafe atmosphere. this place is always packed on the weekends but luckily we did not have to wait too long before we got a seat.

we ordered two dishes to share, the first dish was the spanner crab brunch; slow poached queensland spanner crab, jersey milk, smoked sea mayonnaise and basil. this was a highly refined dish with gorgeous plating, the crab was full of flavour and went well with the creamy jersey milk and fragrant basil. however, i did feel the dish was overpriced for the portion size.

nice little cafe with great coffees! they are doing a truffle special recently - burrata with black truffle.
would be nice if they have greater variety though, in terms of breakfast options and also drinks.
ps. asked for honey and lemon for my peppermint tea and was told that they dont have those...really? arent they like cafe staples?

this cafe is the best on the north shore if not all of sydney and what makes it the best isn't its catering to the usual style of breakfast. if you're after a smashed avo with bacon, this is not your run of the mill cafe. what makes caviler above the rest is their attention to detail on every single damn thing they do. i have not once had a bad coffee, meal or customer service. by far a fine dining experience in a cafe. go now! order anything on the menu can guarantee it will blow your mind!

off the main strip of crows nest, and really not a big space, but it was weekday lunch so easy enough to get a spot. short yet interesting menu, there were a number of things i wanted to try, but i could not get pass the creme caramel french toast. a bit odd looking when it came out, you can hardly see the "toast" under the cloud of cream on top. it was all deconstructed with the two type of cream on top, the toast & a warm caramel sauce on the bottom. the toast was nice & crispy on the outside, but still fluffy (you can still see the whiteness) inside. the best bit was the hidden marmalade under all that cream! the service was friendly & quick. the coffee was pretty good too. will definitely be back!

i came here during truffle season, where they offered truffle coffee and their dishes topped with truffle. i ordered the mocha with truffle milk, topped with a pinch of salt and slice of truffle to start the day off, and it was a very interesting and beautiful elegant taste! i absolutely loved it! food-wise i ordered the 3 cheese mushroom macaroni, spanner crab & tiramisu french toast, all topped with truffle, which was a tad pricier. my favourite dishes was their spanner crab and french toast but the portion for the spanner crab was a quite a small and a bit overpriced. regardless, i can definitely see myself coming back here for some more of the truffle milk coffees during the truffle season and trying their other dishes.  read more about each dish in detail on my blog -->
