excellent selection of beers with typical american fare/pub food. service at the bar was quick and friendly. a varied selection of micro brewed beers. i had several different ones (i tend to stay in the middle of the spectrum) that were all spot on. we just had some appetizers and they were a perfect addition to the beers.greatplace!

delish. when we went, it was happy hour and beer was $2 a glass, which my husband really liked. we both got burgers and they were delicious,greatservice, and decent price!

we had agreatdinner and our server was wonderful. we were a groups of 6 looking for a big dinner post half marathon. all our meals were fantastic. our group had the meatloaf, jambalaya, ribs and crab cakes.

first time visit-had to go for a second round. found this restaurant through the site. went there first night in dc since it was close to hotel. first night we went and had the calamari for appetizer. we then had the crab cakes with fries and coleslaw and swiss burger with veggie side. food hard to choose fromgreatmenu. food was pretty good. waitress a little slow. atmosphere busy, friendly and eclectic-families, couples, groups and after work workers. had to go back a second time. it's time we had the fried green beans -yum...the pear salad with blueberry pomegranate vinaigrette---delish!!! soooo goood

great lunch spot. my friends and i stopped in for a late lunch on a saturday and enjoyed the big, lively bar area. the pretzels and dip were terrific. i had an excellent salad with seared tuna--it was big, fresh and very tasty. service was very good as well. i also enjoyed agreatseasonal beer.

capital city stays open later then most of the other restaurants in the grand hyatt vicinity, since we often eat out late it worked outgreatfor us. the pretzels with the horseradish dipping sauce are agreatstarter! the mini turkey hot dogs were agreatappetizer! i enjoyed a turkey burger with the vegetables mixed into the meat; it was nice & juicy & was paired with sweet potato fries... yum! my boyfriend thought the steak was decent.

by: matt dewey based on it's prime location between the convention center and metro center i'm sure most of you have heard of capital city brewery, and based on it's nightly crowd i'm sure most of you have been. if you haven't been yet i highly recommend for it's delicious appetizers and wide selection of entrees, pizza, and you can't forget the beer. all items from the nacho's, fish 'n chips, black bean burger, to pizza all have an upscale twist and are always cooked perfectly. capital city brewery isn't just about the food. they know exactly what they are doing when it comes to beer. that's why i was especially excited to try go to their taping party for two of their seasonal beers the belgian style farmhouse ale, and the vanilla porter. each weregreatand will be featured at capital city brewery until they run out and decide to create another delicious hoppy creation. all the brews are brewed nearby in shirlington, va by a team of 5 guys who create a new batch of capital city brewe

never a bad experience. my wife and i have eaten at this brewery about ten times in the last year. we've both been very happy with our food every time we go. the free warm, soft pretzels you are served with every meal (in place of the same old bread basket) are always something to look forward too as well. there's something about that horse radish dipping sauce that makes you crave more.

for being a brewery, the selection is pretty good too. i prefer the capitol kolsch and the amber waves ale. they have season brews that are excellent to try if you enjoy sampling micro brews.

for the entree's, she enjoys sticking to some of her favorite choices like the ahi tuna steak sandwich but i try to sample different items every time. i have almost half the menu wiped out and i have always enjoyed everything. hitting up the brewery during the happy hour is an excellent way to try the appetizers for agreatprice. the turkey sliders are a personal favorite for us.

lastly, you can't go to the capitol city brewery and not get dessert. the monumental brownie is a must have on any serious dessert lover. you want to try this place!

service was amazing, but the food was cheap and notgreatat all. then again, what do you expect from a tourist trap?

good portions,greatfood, friendly staff, quick service, kept beverages full. immediate seating on a friday late afternoon.
