spent my first friday night in sacramento in this place. no regrets!

ordered food for dinner, and while waiting for our table (outdoor seating), we ordered drinks at the bar. stayed their for almost half an hour then transferred outside. theservicewas really good knowing it was or first time in the area.

we ordered roasted chicken, steak and ribs. the food was okay.
i rated it 5 because of theserviceand the drinks. :)

after doing some research on this restaurant, i thought it'd be a good bet. my boyfriend and i ordered the fish and chips, mac n cheese, and something similar to a turkey club. not a single one of the items was good. i had no idea you could get a turkey club to taste so terrible. not only that, but theservicewas rude. when they're not ignoring you, they're chatting to they're gossiping to their co workers. the food and theserviceboth get a thumbs down.

good experience. my mother and i ate here for the first time. theservicewas excellent. my mom had the pan grilled wild caught salmon, it was excellent. i had the ny steak, which was very good, but should have been grilled longer to enhance the flavor. would not recommend the tater tots, they were just ok. the s'mores dessert was very good. over all, a pleasant dining experience.

comfort food. the comfort food was splendid in this cool, hipster environment. theservicewas really good as well.

i've been to cafeteria several times and ordered a different menu item every time. all the meals have been great and theserviceis always wonderful. i've gone back for theserviceand great ambiance more than the food

jeannie. this is a very interesting place with goodserviceand food. i think it would be great fun in the warmer months, winter it's a little chilly. i would come here again.

liked the new decor, but the menu is limited and offers very few healthier options. my salad dressing tasted like pure oil and the hyped up meatloaf was nothing special. theservicewas good, but it's not enough to get me back in one of their seats.

still working out the kinks.... been twice, and getting better betweenserviceand food. french onion soup is good, the caesar salad is bland, the beignets are not worth the $$, but the drinks are great. give them another month to hit their stride...

birthday lunch...ruined by the small stuff. after hearing of cafeteria 15l, i anxiously waited to go for my birthday with my work staff. the food sounded good and something new to the area sounded great. i was looking for my new favorite place. to my dismay, it did not live up to the expectations. since we were on our lunch and had 5 people, as a courtesy, we called ahead and were told there isn't a wait and there was a table available for our party, but we couldn't reserve it for the birthday lunch. we arrived excited to the new experience and were told it was a 25 minute wait. all while a table for five was open and ready to be seated (but saved for someone else). after standing around talking, we were pushed to the cool, hip, lounge area to relax and wait. a co-worker eventually went and asked if we could be waited on at the bar area tables since we were on our lunch break, they said it would only be about 5 more minutes and suggested we just wait. another 10 minutes went by, still no table for us. however, others waiting were even offered the same table we asked to be waited at. they were even served food in the lounge area and received their food before we even were seated. a nice person came and asked every single person that all got there after us if they wanted water while we waiting. all of them got water before we asked for some. finally after 45 minutes during lunch and after speaking to a nice lady that looked like a manger, we were apologetically seated (in nice comfortable white seats).

even after we were seated theservicetook forever and my co-workers told me i had to close my menu and set it down for the waiter to see we were ready to order. that isn't the way customerserviceworks, is it?

warning: the iced tea is tropical? i wished the menu or waiter warned me!

our appetizers were good (unique tater tots and spinach and artichoke dip).

our group wasn't too impressed with the food as a whole; it didn't have that wow factor that people are looking for in the current market. i went with the trout sandwich and didn't finish it. after finding bones in the trout, i couldn't stomach finishing it. maybe the fact that it was sort of ground up fish was part of it as well. i was expecting a whole fish fillet on bread. also, you should buy your bread from the bread store on j, it is much better than the bread on the trout sandwich.

sadly to say, i didn't find my new favorite restaurant: a place to recommend to friends or rave about online. i always give places a second chance to impress, but it will never be at lunch. in today's market, customers are looking for a wow factor in products and good customer service. i smiling host when a person walks in the door would help. customerserviceis about showing customers they are there to serve you and assist in making the customer happy. i didn't see this at cafeteria 15l. the small things count. but the décor was nice
