spent my first friday night in sacramento in this place. no regrets!

orderedfoodfor dinner, and while waiting for our table (outdoor seating), we ordered drinks at the bar. stayed their for almost half an hour then transferred outside. the service was really good knowing it was or first time in the area.

we ordered roasted chicken, steak and ribs. thefoodwas okay.
i rated it 5 because of the service and the drinks. :)

expect to pay reasonable prices for good (not amazing) comfort food. the environment is very laid back and comfortable. thefoodcame extremely quickly (practically before the drinks) but then the staff allowed us to take our sweet time with the rest of our meal.

after doing some research on this restaurant, i thought it'd be a good bet. my boyfriend and i ordered the fish and chips, mac n cheese, and something similar to a turkey club. not a single one of the items was good. i had no idea you could get a turkey club to taste so terrible. not only that, but the service was rude. when they're not ignoring you, they're chatting to they're gossiping to their co workers. thefoodand the service both get a thumbs down.

i thoroughly enjoy this place. it is such an amazing environment. when you first walk up the building you can easily tell that it is oddly unique, something about the design of the building and the huge front door pulls you in. the very first thing i noticed inside the building was the very relaxed almost cafe like atmosphere. the architecture of the building is very intriguing and almost captivates any young hipster. thefoodchoices are impeccable and the mocktails are phenomenal. out offoodchoices i highly recommend that people order the trio fries because you can never go wrong with sweet potato fries, bbq fries, and garlic fries. now if you like light things but still want it to be fulfilling then definitely go with the cobb salad. the first bite of it will have you dreaming about it a week from the day you bite it. i would highly suggest this place for anyone that is in the area and looking for some goodfoodor a couple of nice drinks. also, check out the bathrooms you might get surprised with the mirror. ;) goodvibes.

vcery disappointed. we had a reservation and the table was not ready. we waited for quite a while. the manager (i think) argued with the hostess for almost 7 minutes about scheduling issues before even acknowledging we were standing in the lobby. thefoodwas lack luster and the menu had way more alcoholic selections than actual food. the patio was nice and we enjoyed watching people walk by. we won't be back.

mixed bag of average, but has its bright spots. the roasted artichoke was a bit too much for me (needed more seasoning or a sauce on it).

the avocado turkey sandwich was like many others across the country.

the eggs benedict was good, but much like many others. this place is a good spot to catch an early nfl game and eat brunch and which is why i gave it a "like". oh and they have unlimited mimosas for something like ten dollars. those might make thefoodtaste a little bit better.

not your school cafeteria. i went for the first time with my best friend and her sister after a girl's night out. thefoodwas delicious; it was tasty comfortfoodat a decent price. the ambiance of the restaurant was chic yet comfortable; it was dimly lit, with outdoor seating available which was excellent at night to be able to just people watch during nightlife hours. every time i am in sacramento i make sure to squeeze in a visit to cafeteria!

i've gotten pretty darn comfortable at cafeteria 15l. it took me long enough. i had procrastinated going for some time. there are so many other places to try. besides, i had often sampled some of theirfoodat special events.

things can get better. sometimes when a restaurant " takes over " from another , it fails . this is not the case for cafeteria ! the place rocks .
great ambience - love that the tables are not all in a row and whereever you sit , you get a good view and feel a little set apart from others .
the staff are ultra professonial - no really .
thefood. everything that has been tried has been good - consistently good . however , if you have a " bucket list " of things to do before you die , you have to indulge in the chicken and waffles . unbelievably good .

can't fault it .

birthday lunch...ruined by the small stuff. after hearing of cafeteria 15l, i anxiously waited to go for my birthday with my work staff. thefoodsounded good and something new to the area sounded great. i was looking for my new favorite place. to my dismay, it did not live up to the expectations. since we were on our lunch and had 5 people, as a courtesy, we called ahead and were told there isn't a wait and there was a table available for our party, but we couldn't reserve it for the birthday lunch. we arrived excited to the new experience and were told it was a 25 minute wait. all while a table for five was open and ready to be seated (but saved for someone else). after standing around talking, we were pushed to the cool, hip, lounge area to relax and wait. a co-worker eventually went and asked if we could be waited on at the bar area tables since we were on our lunch break, they said it would only be about 5 more minutes and suggested we just wait. another 10 minutes went by, still no table for us. however, others waiting were even offered the same table we asked to be waited at. they were even servedfoodin the lounge area and received theirfoodbefore we even were seated. a nice person came and asked every single person that all got there after us if they wanted water while we waiting. all of them got water before we asked for some. finally after 45 minutes during lunch and after speaking to a nice lady that looked like a manger, we were apologetically seated (in nice comfortable white seats).

even after we were seated the service took forever and my co-workers told me i had to close my menu and set it down for the waiter to see we were ready to order. that isn't the way customer service works, is it?

warning: the iced tea is tropical? i wished the menu or waiter warned me!

our appetizers were good (unique tater tots and spinach and artichoke dip).

our group wasn't too impressed with thefoodas a whole; it didn't have that wow factor that people are looking for in the current market. i went with the trout sandwich and didn't finish it. after finding bones in the trout, i couldn't stomach finishing it. maybe the fact that it was sort of ground up fish was part of it as well. i was expecting a whole fish fillet on bread. also, you should buy your bread from the bread store on j, it is much better than the bread on the trout sandwich.

sadly to say, i didn't find my new favorite restaurant: a place to recommend to friends or rave about online. i always give places a second chance to impress, but it will never be at lunch. in today's market, customers are looking for a wow factor in products and good customer service. i smiling host when a person walks in the door would help. customer service is about showing customers they are there to serve you and assist in making the customer happy. i didn't see this at cafeteria 15l. the small things count. but the décor was nice
