cafe fresca

went for sunday lunch. nice place to sit as long as the wind is not blowing too much. i had a mini breakfast which came out pretty quickly. it was made up of the usual eggs, bacon, toast, kransky, potato. very yummy and met the spot.coffeewas well made hats off to the barrisata. service was great friendly staff. one good point with fresca is that it has pleny of parking and its close to town. well worth a visit.

brunch for two on easter friday.  good on you for being open, despite the surcharge!!

cafe has a nice setting within or next to a garden centre.  nice place to go on a lovely sunny day.  big outdoors part where you can enjoy the sun.

staff give reasonably good service, some better than others.

i have been here twice and had egg's on toast both times!  these were both cooked well.  the other food on offer in the cabinet etc looks good.  coffee and hot chocolate both very good.

overall, pretty good, and you should go along to see if you like the place.

a very average breakfast. i ordered eggs on turkish toast and a flat white. the turkish toast and the chutney were so bland. very disappointing as this is one of my favourite breakfasts. the regular sizecoffeewas huge and much bigger than i wanted and i felt they'd confused size with quality.

went for lunch today, ordered a cooked breakfast with potatoes, sausage, mushroom, poached eggs, etc lacked flair in presentation but perfect for a winters day. thecoffeewas not up to their usual high standard, it was a little weak today. very busy but staff coped well and served us with a smile. nice place to sit and enjoy the setting.

my husband and i are frequent visitors of cafe fresca. last week it was my husband's birthday and i decided to treat him at fresca knowing that the food has always been up to standard and the staff are extremely polite, unfortunately on this recent visit my husband made a comment on one of the staffs tattoos, the staff member then proceeded to show my husband all of her tattoos and i felt extremely uncomfortable as i felt as if she was flirting. she then proceeded to show him photos on her phone. i understand that she has her own style and i totally respect that, but whilst i'm trying to enjoy my time at fresca i would have appreciated it if mycoffeewas made instead of the barista talking to my husband. apart from that it's a brilliant cafe and great parking.

had the raspberry white choc muffin which was the best i've ever had!coffeewas really good too. loved the setting of the cafe amidst the garden and flowers.

one of my favourite places and very handy to the hospital. ample parking. food is great no matter whether its a panini, pasta or whatever. you can chat and linger over a cup ofcoffeeor a wine without being hassled to hurry up. stu is a great host spending time to mix with the customers seeing everything is satisfactory. nice one stu!

meet up for a quick lunch date with a friend who worked over the road at gallagher. was very impressed by cafe fresca :)

nice sitting amongst the garden centre in the sun.

staff were super friendly -- thought it was a nice gesture giving extra stamps on my friendscoffeecard (appreciating the local businesses around them i suppose?).

can definitely say their salmon salad is a good choice on the menu - plenty of yummy salmon & it works well.

coffee was nice & big - and good!

really nice food, friendly staff and a great location in the middle of the garden centre. always busy so can sometimes take a while to get food or coffees but is worth the wait. prices are a little on the high end but the food is also very good. and greatcoffeetoo :)

ended up here a few times a year on a weekend to meet a friend who loves the garden center and 'humble' gift shop next door. the food has been ok, though the menu has not changed sinse it opened, and thecoffeeis also just ok when it inveriably arrives 20 minutes later (and often after the food). but after their latest efforts, i won't be returning. the food,coffeeand service was poor, and this probably had something to do with the yelling and screaming coming from the kitchen. it's looking old and tired and seems to be getting more expensive every time i frequent it. so sad....

on 30th june 14 ladies booked for lunch, and some of us pre-ordered our meal. we were to be there at 12.15. my friend & i arrived on time & joined a queue in order to pay for our pre-ordered meals. the queue was long and very slow. only stu was taking orders & working the till. some folk had long conversations with stu at the till. 2 ladies in front of us left & at least 4 ladies behind us left also.
my friend & i eventually got to stu & paid for our meals? why did we pre-order as we basically ordered & paid at the till.
we joined our friends & both of us waited for our meals. mycoffeearrived, very good, over half an hour later my meal came. the waiter said he brought to the table earlier at 12.15 - i was in the queue!!! and then took it back to the kitchen. why did i pre-order??
my meal had obviously been in the fridge awaiting my arrival (from the queue) as the plate & bagel were now chilled. i had to ask for cutlery?
however - my chilled meal was tasty. the waiter offered me a complimentary coffee. but my friends were leaving (i had not finished eating) so of no use to me!!
there was no explanation or consideration from stu. he seemed to have alot of time to chat to some people?? to have more than 2 people queue up is bad management. to get 'pre-orders' & then expect people to order seems irrational & disrespectful??.
in spite of the waiters best intentions, good food, goodcoffee& nice friends i will not be returning to this restaurant unless ordering & paying is separated from maitre d functions.
great that you are busy stu but unless you get it under control it will not last!!

we visit cafe fresca on a regular basis and have always found stu and his team most welcoming and happy. thecoffeeis great too. sue & john

i just what to say that my experience at cafe fresca was a+++ and the staff so freindly. i had lunch with a friend whom also hadn't heard of the place and she also thought it was great with heaps of room and great outlook. good old fashion service and the best value for money around.coffeewas hot and the guy even gave me acoffeecard :-)
