honest good good food!. have been going to burgundy lion for a few years now and they have never failed to satisfy! just great honest food, delicious and in such a fun place. great staff, james is a real gent! a realpubnot far from home.

it does offer above averagepubfare. i find their fish and chips to be hit or miss - the batter often tastes undercooked - doughy and raw. have had many of their desserts some of which are better than others. decent choice of beers on tap. prompt, friendly service. we do enjoy their trivia night on mondays.

britishpubfood. not really sure what the rave is about.walked in with no reservation thinking it was a bar-ish place, waited almost an hour before being seated. 

the sunday roast was average, as was the service.

food is great and very inexpensive for the quality and portions. i find this place is too often forgotten for food and more referred to as apubto catch a drink. one of my favourite is the welshman's bride (lamb shank)

laid backpubwith quality (said with ali g accent)food. place is huge, probably a greatpubto watch sporting events as they had a lot of tvs. ththey serve very traditionalpubfood. e service was a wee bit slow but they were also pretty busy however it was quite clean. the portions are huge so be careful if your eyes are bigger than your stomach. that said everything was tasty. we had tomato soup, cod cakes and their house crisps (dont forget the malt vinegar)...yum, yum!

burgundy lion is a well knownpubon notre dame, the famous street that is the home of joe beef. thispubhas high ratings in most restaurant review websites and their food was good, so no surprise there. one of my friends was happy to find out that they had the largest whiskey collection in quebec and ordered a tasting set which comes with three different glasses of selected whiskey. he threw fancy descriptions to each cup like “woody” “smokey” “creamy” “fruity” “dry” but to my nose it was rubbing alcohol and it did it’s job lol. i’m happy as long as it comes with that second quality. speaking of alcohol… happy new year it is now 2014 aaand life does not seem any better. but we made it this far so props to you all. classic nye tales that you’ll easily hear anywhere. but i drank so much out of poor judgement skills that followed the first four cups of whiskey and two bottles of beer… and now i’m gagging just at the thought of alcohol. never again am i drinking that much. ...i thought i would share with you, a restaurant in my new neighborhood: burgundy lion. it’s not exactly a new find. i’ve been going there for quite a while, but i’m never disappointed. burgundy lion is a britishpubserving up pub-style english fare. you can be sure to find all the soccer football games (hockey too!) playing on their televisions. i’ve been told it’s also a great atmosphere for drinks at night. on this particular occasion, however, i went for lunch with alex when we were apartment hunting. for drinks, alex ordered the burgundy lion ale , their house brew, and i o

diva #1 went to high school with a group of pretty amazing guys that now, long after graduation, she still loves to go out with. when we were in high school no sweet 16 was complete without them, in cegep they made clubbing fun, in university house parties weren’t complete without their insanity and now they make any restaurant or bar night a great goddamn time. conflicting schedules make getting jb and the boys a little hard to get together but diva #1 loves bringing the gang together for good times, a lot of drinking and trips down memory lane. a late celebration of jb’s birthday brought us to burgundy lion, a britishpubon notre dame in griffintown.  besides being a restaurant, it has a full bar including whiskey blends, highlands, a whiskey tasting menu and of course the usual variety of cocktails, wines and champagne.

très beaupubbritish. bon choix de bières et de bouffe: fish ‘n’ chips pas mal bon, sans parler de la poutine et des burgers! l’atmosphère est beaucoup plus de bar que de restaurant.  il y a un bar où on peut s’asseoir juste pour prendre une bière. c’est un bon endroit pour commencer ou finir une soirée. moins idéal pour les dates je dirais, mais bien plaisant en gang. l’été, il y a même une terrasse à l’avant. prise sur le site web officiel mon plat préféré est la salade cambridgeshire, contrairement à mon habitude de burger. il y a du bleu dedans, mais je demande toujours de changer pour du cheddar.   bonne place pour souper et ensuite rester prendre quelques bières. c’est un des spots les plus intéressants de la rue notre-dame. il y a même des matchs de rugby à la télé. burgundy lion sur urban spoon :

good spot in little burgundy. this trendy englishpubin one of my faves in the point saint charles - little burgundy area of town. they have a reasonable selection of cold beer. i quite like the bier brier which i was told is brewed close by in st henri.
the staff are friendly and the food is good although they could expand their menu a bit i think.
can't go wrong with the fish and chips. there are plenty of restaurants that screw up this meal, too much batter, too much oil but, they do a good job.
i have eaten at the bar and at table.
can't go too wrong. the only drawback is that it can be a bit noisy.

beaupubanglais !. on se croirait à londres pour ce qui est de la décoration et de l'ambiance, la bouffe est bonne ainsi que la bière. le menu à l'air varié. y'a une terrasse sur la rue notre-dame. un des endroits les plus en vogue dans la petite-bourgogne. j'y retournerais pour sûr !

a nice hang-out spot. i love the ambiance, especially during an english soccer game. great venue, its almost like a fancypubthat's discreet about the ''fancy'' part. i love coming here for a 5 à 7 with some friends, if not go all the way with jugs of beer until 3am, or just even a nice brunch with my mom. the service is good, the food is nice, the crowd is great.

voici un resto/pub que j'ai visité l'hiver dernier. en plein mois de mars, c'était une belle suggestion. puis j'ai oublié d'en parler. quand j'y ai repensé cette été, je ne trouvais pas que ce que j'avais mangé était un bon conseil sous la chaleur. puis, l'automne est arrivé et c'est redevenu le genre de bouffe qu'on a envie de manger. comme vous l'avez sans doute deviné, le burgundy lion est unpubbritish, où l'on va pour prendre une bière. comme dans les pubs, il y a de la bouffe pas mal « greasy spoon », mais avec une coche au-dessus de ce qu'on est habitué. le pot-au-feu d'agneau braisé (ci-bas) recouvert de pommes de terre tranchées en est un bonne exemple. c'était savoureux et la très bonne salade venait équilibrer le repas. ceux qui sont traditionels et ne mangent que du poisson le vendredi seront gâtés avec le « fish and chips » fait avec des gros morceaux de poisson (dont j'ai malheureusement oublié la sorte). bien sûr, le classique gros hamburger pl
