used a groupon. first time here. cheese burger and fries. both were hot, fresh and tasty. like the selection of flavored ketchups and seasoned salts. i had enoughfoodleftover for dinner.

burger 55 in downtown penticton is best known for their customizable gourmet burgers. it’s also appeared on you gotta eat here onfoodnetwork. on the way back home to vancouver, we made sure to stop here for lunch. who can’t resist a burger? i know m and i can’t. when you get to the front door, they outline the way you must order.

service was a little slow getting everything out to 5 adults and 2 kids, but staff were friendly andfoodwas amazing! duck confit poutine and the custom bison burger might have been the best i've had! would definitely go back!

burgers were ok. just ok.
fries were dried out on the inside, hollow when you broke them open.
sweet potatoe fries were burnt.
all 4 orders were binned.

raw and over priced. i had the unfortunate experience of eatingfoodfrom burger 55 today. the onion rings were amazing and the toppings on the burger were great. unfortunately its a burger place that can't cook a hamburger patty. completely charcoaled and burnt on the outside and totally raw in the middle. this is not ediblefoodpeople especially if you are going to charge an arm and a leg for it.

very good! but...... a two hour wait for our burgers!! i would come here again but only because it is really really hard to find goodfoodthat is gluten free and vegetarian as well!!! :d

overpriced, stalefood& juvenile staff. thought i'd try it, as the toppings and customization were appealing. paid 12$ for a small burger, on a stale bun. staff is juvenile and unprofessional, and actually pokes fun at customers. somehow, working in a tiny burger joint managed to invoke a sense of superiority. to boot, they didn't seem to understand the concept of horseradish, and managed to smear what seemed like half a pound of it on my burger. opened up my sinuses, but tasted like crap. never again.

not for vegetarians. shocked that allfood(beef, turkey, fish, mushroom, bacon) is handled with the same cooking utensils. staff was friendly when this error was point out and offered to recook my salmon but the fact remains that this is their standard practice. definitely not a place i would go back to, not sure how burger55 meets any health standards nor has won awards. very disappointed. yuck.

not impressed. after seeing burger 55 on "you gotta eat here!" we decided to check it out on our annual vacation this year. we were there on wednesday august 14, 2013. we decided that due to the large number in our group (17) we would take our order to go. we filled out the order forms ahead of time and 6 of us went to order and pick up our meal. the "lady" working behind the counter that night was extremely rude, at one point she called one of the women in our group a bitch. our burgers were "ok" but the bacon was almost raw and several burgers were missing things that we had ordered and in some cases paid extra for. we also ordered a couple of dips for the fries and onion rings that we never received. after waiting for over 45 minutes for ourfoodit wasn't worth our time to return to have things corrected. don't think we'll be returning next year when we come to penticton again.

wow, a burger experience, not just a burger! not a fastfoodplace, not a sit and enjoy supper kind of thing. it's a joint, a good old fashioned burger joint. fries so good you want seconds. burgers with great flavour and toppings to match. i'm from out of town but now i know where to stop every time a pass through!!! 5 star food

had heard a lot of great things about this place and was very disappointed...burger was what i would expect at a crappy concession stand, was greasy and tasted like nothing, fries were undercooked and soggy. staff seemed more focused on playing around the cooking a good meal. also was expensive for thefoodwe received. defiantly will not be returning or reccomending.

not that great... hopefully an off night?. we were really looking forward to eating here after seeing the reviews but were sadly disappointed. the idea is amazing, you pick all of your own toppings right down to the bun. it's a little place with seating outside, we sat filling out our clip board with the burgers we wanted once done we took them inside to place our order and pay. right after us there was a rush of about 15 burger orders and only 2 people working. after a half hour we got our burgers (there were 3 of us) and they were cold. we ordered one side of "hand cut fries", beer battered onion rings and yam fries. the fries were flavourless and soggy not salted at all, the yam fries were burnt and the onion rings were super soggy and there were maybe 6 small onion rings in the box. all 3 of us had the beef burger and they were super dry and burnt. the 55 bun was very good though. it was very overpriced for how muchfoodwe received and the quality. it was really too bad because we love little burger places.

if you want it on your burger, chances are in you favor that they will have it! yeah the place is a little dive but that is where the bestfoodcomes from.

love it.. i love their burgers. i loved them so much i ended up working with them over the summer.

having had that experience let me say that thefoodis always fresh. made in house at every given opportunity. the boys are creative and always open to customer feedback.
