bruno restaurant

last table in restaurant. we came to bruno's on mothers day. we were the last table in the restaurant, and everything from the wine to food to our waiter michael was divine. michael did not rush us he chose the wine for us, and bruno came out to talk to us, as we were the last table in the restaurant, our waiter made it clear to us that the restaurant strives ongreatfood and service and bruno's made us customers forever.

not agreatexperience.   reservations for 7.   finally seated at 7:40.   hostess not very helpful keeping us informed.   need to do a better job of this.

culinary masterpiece. as a frequent bruno patron, i was again delighted by the delicious meal last night. my husband and children took me out for mother's day (since i will be working on sun). we just couldnt decide on what to eat so we just ordered a few meals and placed them on the center of the beautiful-linened table. the halibut was perfectly done, the soft shell crab-(one of my all-time favorite foods) was the best ever!! the grouper was over the top tasty. i couldnt have had a better meal anywhere. the desserts are a whole other gastronomic experience. the creme brulee is the only crreme brulee i will eat. the chocolate and strawberry gelato with a cherry in the middle encased by dark chocolate was decadent. the waiter, damien was very patient with our indecision of ordering our drinks. the bartender, jimmy made an awesome expresso martini. this was by far the best meal and atmosphere i have ever eaten!! we eat out alot and all over the usa , seeking the best foods that part of the country has to offer. i am grateful to live so close to bruno restaurant. i dont know how bruno could top last nights experience. thanks bruno for another perfect meal. your personal care to the meals served is very much appreciated.

thank you for opening up near my home. thank you for giving my taste buds joy. thank you for bringing my family even closer together. thank you for all the wonderful meals (grouper special-yum, gnocchi and blue cheese-addictive, the pasta fagiole-mouth watering, the cajun calamari-omg-the only place i will eat it) thank you jimmy, the best bartender who reccommendsgreatwine to go with your food. thank you bruno for your warmth, gracious hospitality, and eagerness to please a fussy palate. it doesnt get better than this. i am a tough critic and absolutely love this place. we appreciate everything you have done to make this our place. i have met wonderful, friendly people here. i feel fortunate to call this place our favorite place to eat. life at its best!! thank you bruno-love ya!! (and your food)

worsening. went to bruno's last week and it was horrible. the food was mediocre and poorly made. the wine we wanted and usually order wasn't available and was offered a more expensive one? the waitstaff reeked of cigarette smoke. hoping to secure something positive of the evening went to the bar side and that was a nightmare. jimmy did nothing but yell and bark out orders. jason reeked of smoke and ran around like he was on speed. limited bar items and nothing worth drinking. left in disgust and will never return. go to the tavern or mcdonalds, they know how to serve better. dante's is the best in the area. same format as brunos with better food, a real bar, andgreathard working employees.

great food!. bruno is a wonderful restaurant with an attractive fine dining experience. i have dined at bruno several times and each time i have had nothing but positive things to say about the food and service. each and every time i have eaten at bruno, the food has been out of this world! also, the restaurant and its bathrooms are always very clean. it truly is the place to go forgreatseafood. bruno is perfect for celebrating a special occasion or for a nice place to go on a date.

perfect experience. phenomenal food,greatatmosphere and service. highly recommend the sesame tuna appetizer. i had the triggerfish special baked oreganta style and it was prepared perfect. looking forward to my next trip to bruno's already.

we enjoy going to bruno's not just for the amazing food but for the personality of the bartender, jimmy! bruno serves the best food and jimmy serves the best drinks. he always picks the best drinks to go w/ my meal, i trust him. he is charismatic and makes the bar the place to go anytime they are open!! the wait staff and hostess are warm, intelligent, kind people. no wonder it received best new restaurant 2011.greatcombo of best chef and bartender!!

one last comment -- the prices are extremely reasonable for the excellent quality of food.

i'm back. i just want to add to my review that all of our dinners were excellent. three of us had the sea bass over risotto. it was perfectly prepared.

we had agreatdinner withgreatservice. our waiter was very courteous and helpful. our entire group ordered appetizers. i ordered the escargot and they were amazing. i was a little disappointed in the fact that we had made arrangements for a private room. i had called two days before and the chef/owner had confirmed the room. however, when we arrived the hostess blamed the owner for not taking a proper reservation and told us we could not have the private room. i had planned this especially for my mothers 70th birthday. it was extremely disappointing considering i had confirmed the reservation.

always delighted. my husband and i had dinner at bruno over the weekend and again anothergreatmeal but even better is the service. our waitress was exceptional and so helpful and caring, not only to us but to tables that were not even hers. she was asked by another waiter to speak to his table next to us about a wine recommendation. they were equally as charmed by tracy as we were. her repore with his table was as caring as if it was her own. she made my mother-in-law's evening by being so helpful with her dinner selection as she is on a special diet and followed up immediately to make sure her selection was prepared as she requested. my husband noted how high maintenance some of your clientele can be from the moment we came in, we had to wait to be seated because people at the door were requesting a specific table (that was already seated with customers!). tracy made us feel so welcome and even though the restaurant was busy we never felt rushed or like any of my mother-in-laws numerous requests were any problem. the food is obviously important and her knowledge of the menu was flawless, she was able to tweak a menu item so that it my mother-in-law could have what she wanted, and she can be very hard to please. she commented it was the best service she has had in years. bruno is quite lucky to have the mature professional staff he has and that is a huge part of what keeps us coming back again and again.

brilliant bartender. went with some friends to celebrate my new promotion and jimmy made it extra special!! he suggested the griiled caeser salad which was awesome! we also loved the pork chops and delmonico. he was so attentive and had such a fun personality and he kept those drinks coming. service wasgreatand we had the best time. we will definitely be back!

there are a lot of "talked about" restaurants in raleigh, but i had yet to find the fresh, unique, "couldn't have made it better at home" meal i was craving... until bruno's.greatwine. delicious escargot, seafood bisque, and grouper with andouille sausage in white wine sauce. every bite wonderful. service was attentive, but not "annoying." highly recommend.

it doesn't come in a can!. i have to say this has been one of the most enjoyable places i have ever eaten at. i love to go and see jimmy what agreatbartender .and when i told him we were celebrating a birthday, bruno was there and he offered to make a dish just for us! who does that??
it was incredible tuna tartar,black ink rissotto with shrimp! and desert, home made chocolate creme brule!
the service was fantastic, from start to finish. the food is as fresh as you can get. it really doesn't come in a can.we will be back, wow!

have fork,wil travel. well after going to bruno a few more times i have to say i love the consistncy . the food was fantastic,the service wonderful. i deceided eat at the bar since my wife was away. jimmy the bartender spoiled me , he suggested the special , lobster fra diablo with linguine,clams ,mussels and shrimp.oh and dont' forget
the lobster! i had such a good time at the bar the next time i go with the wife we will eat at the bar .

goood as gold. i had dinner at brunos and i must say it was great. i had the papadella pasta with shrimp and lobster in a red sauce with a touch of cream.the oysters rockerfeller was off the hook! the service was spot on from the bartenders to the waitstaff i look forward to going back.

amazing food!!!. all i have to say is amazing!! i came in on a busy saturday and had to wait a few minutes and i was then seated with my party of 5. i ate the seafood bisque which was one of the best soups i have ever had. i then had a ceaser salad which was so different. they actually grilled their salad and topped it with agreatceaser dressing( definitely homemade) and fresh grated parmesan with homemade croutons.for my main course i had the special of the day which was the adriatic monk fish special which again was great. i then treated myself to chocolate cream brulee and it was so delicious!! i highley recommend this restaurant to people who appreciate good food. there is no restaurant in the wake forest area or even raleigh that can top this meal. i also have read prior reviews and and to be honest if you are lingering at a table for 2-3 hours on a saturday night when there are other reservations you should give up your table. bruno and staff thank you so much for agreatexperience i will definitely be back.

why did it take me so long to find this place!. whew...i was nearby and happened upon this restaurant. after a truly miserable day they turned it around and then some. the wine list is nice and small and has some terrific wines. one of the specials was a tuscan style grouper. i ordered it looking at the chefs window a lot noticing the nice looking and large portions coming out. the grouper came out with proscuitto and a white beans with a few clams and shrimp. the sauce was light and nicely complimented the grouper. nothing overwhelmed anything else nor were theere a lot of competing flavors. when the actual bar cleared i sat there having agreatconversation with the bar manager jimmy and the owner bruno. we chatted about everything from where to source the incredible seafood he buys to ending with a little sheeps milk cheese from croatia that was truly over the top! i am huge fan of this place and everyone in it. finalllygreatseafood, servers that are professionals and an owner that know what's important. when i read the negative reviews i can not help but notice they join, give a bad review then never review another place. that tells me most of the bad reviews are ex-employees or competitors.

wow!!!. totally blown away by the food, ambiance, and service. our family's table for eight was not the easiest to please, but our extremely professional waiter handled us all with class. the food was outstanding, and having eaten in somegreatestablishments across the usa and europe, i was impressed. i will return, and introduce some new friends to this elegant diamond in wake forest.
