yummy super insanely delicious - i always get the classic waffle with chocolate sauce & vanilla bean ice cream. this place seriously is amazing.

the shop is tiny, quainter than quaint. a bar sits against one wall with stools for about five, and the counter where you order is just three feet away. outside, tables sit in the open air for customers to enjoy the waffles, which are served through a window when ready. they come out hot, in vanilla or cinnamon, with cream or strawberries, or both. if you’re looking for a real treat, get it dipped in chocolate, too.

i would like to clarify one important fact that has been mentioned on a previous comment made by a long time customer.
in belgium we do and still to this day "flavor" our liege waffles with vanilla. i personally always used a pure vanilla extract since i started making those 7 years ago.
so there is no such thing of "unflavored" liege waffles in belgium. we do mention vanilla in the store so that customers realize that there are actually two distinct liege waffles available, the cinnamon and vanilla liege.

great fries! americanized waffles.... whatever happened to the great liège waffles pierre used to make and sell from his cart at the farmers market back in the days? waffles used to be great and taste just the same as those sold by belgaufra and other quality liège waffle outlets all over brussels.

what happened? the waffles have been altered and suited to appeal to americana's masses and now come flavored with french vanilla and cinnamon. blasphemy! back in belgium, liège waffles are never flavored. they are eaten plain, or topped with whipped cream or with both chocolate sauce and whipped cream!

quel massacre! quel dommage!

on the other hand, while the sandwiches are ok, the fries are thankfully as good as they've ever been. samurai sauce is just as good if not better than that found in brussels friteries.

a bit pricey but worth it. good luck finding seating in this tiny place, but i'm in love with their machine gun sandwich. the andalouse sauce on it is so tasty, the baguette roll has perfect density and the lamb sausage is served hot and so flavorful. their frites are good, but it's the multitude of sauces that makes them great. i prefer the curry mayo myself.
i've been to belgium recently and i can attest, the waffles they serve here are as good as any in bruges itself, though you get less for your money here.
service tends to get backed up here but the workers are very friendly. the man usually at the register is from aalst, belgium and is pleasant to talk to about his home country. it is a beautiful country with wonderful food, and bruges waffles and frites does it as good as anybody over there.

machinegun sandwich rocks!. i saw these guys on man vs food and and had to try this! the great thing about this sandwich is the sauce and the fries and the sausage and the whole package! you could pack a couple of these in your bag and have enough calories to survive 2012!! yumm!!

waffles and fries? really? yes. really. vanilla waffle w/ strawberries, med frites, and the mother of sandwiches... the machine gun. shared with another person. the mayo dip was awesome! curry mayo. mmm. i can't wait to go back. 4.5/5

this place ruined me on just regular waffles.. my favorite is the vanilla liege waffle with dark belgian chocolate, strawberries, and creme fraiche with a side of frites. (don't forget the adalusion sauce, it is a must.) bruges just may change your life.

worth the visit. i first found out about this place on man v food so i had to check it out, the prices are decent not overly pricey as some reviews may state. the fries were good and very sweet dense waffle full of flavor. i enjoyed the visit and will be back to try the shotgun!

best fries in utah. the fries are amazing. gotta love the twice-fried thing. the waffles are surprisingly filling. very dense. the machine gun is great. love the sauce. although this place tends to be on the pricey side for what you get, it's well worth the occassional visit.

oh yeah, its that good. the waffles: taste exactly the the ones you'd get from a street vendor in belgium.
the fries: don't taste like the frites of belgium, but they're the only place i know of that cooks them the proper way, double fried.
opt for the waffles, plain, with a dusting of powdered sugar. the sweetness of the waffle doesn't require a drenching of other toppings.

blown away. when my friend told me that we were going to get some good waffles, i wasn't that excited. how could a waffle be that fabulous. boy was i wrong, i was blown away that a bite of that waffle could taste so incredible. i can't wait to go back and try their frites. mmmmm :)

small expensive. this place is tiny! like taco stand tiny! fries and sauce were good. not amazing enough to find a parking spot wait 10 mins and go eat in your car. one guy running the show while everyone waits. i guess your paying for the experience....
