machine gun sandwich sub par. i was excited to try this place after seeing it on tv. what's not to love about waffles, fries and meat? as always i order the biggest thing on the menu and got the machine gun sandwich (i think that's what it's called) and was overwhelmed with the heavy flavors. the bread was too much, the sauce too heavy, the fries didn't mix well with the rich lamb sausage. now, i like heavy and rich foods but there needs to be something to balance it out. i was just not impressed.

amazing.. we go here quite often when we're in salt lake. we stopped in last night and the waffles are amazing as always. the waffles are so rich and complex with each bite leaving you wanting more. i got the torpedo last night which is a vanilla waffle with chocolate bars stuffed inside. my wife always gets the cinnamon waffle with chocolate drizzled on top. if you're in the mood for something a little more on the edge try it with speculoos spread. it's a spread made from butter cookies. so good. their fries are also amazing and they offer dozens of different dipping options. the andolouse dip is my favorite. i haven't tried the machine gun sandwich yet, that's on my list. it's a little bit intimidating, but i will try it one day. anybody who lives in utah needs to come try this place. it will change your life. .

waffles. the sandwiches are delicious. my favorite is the waffles. very light, crispy, and tasty.

...an over the top, incredibly delicious sandwich called the machine gun- a sandwich with complete with andalouse mayonnaise, two lamb sausages, and mounds of frites, all served on a french baguette.

waffles to die for. the machine gun sandwich is very good. the waffles are to die for. the owner has always been there and is very interactive with the guests. i love the location and it certainly has a "charm" to it. only recommendation would be to offer a smaller portion on the machine gun sandwich. it is way too much when you want to enjoy the torpedo (waffle).

no one can compare. i go to bruges every saturday and thursday during the summer in slc, and i just have to say in my whole life i have never had a better waffle. i always get a plan vanilla waffle, and on occasions i get the frites. i have been to every restrant in slc and let me say the best waffle and fries in slc are at bruges. i love that place!

food good, process awful. i love the waffles at bruges, but i hate the service and the process of ordering. you order, then you wait ... you could wait for 5 minutes or you could wait for 25 minutes. if you order fries and a waffle, you will get the waffle in about 10 minutes (after standing in the sun outside waiting in confusion) then the fries will show up about 20 minutes later after your waffle is cold and hard. that was my experience anyway.

bruges has good food, but it needs to learn how to manage order so that you get your entire order at once without too much wait.

cute little place, good at what they do. the machine gun may be slightly overrated but the waffles are not. had the monster waffle and it was dee-lish.

like being in brussels again.. i've had authentic belgian waffles and frites before, and no other place has ever come so close to the real deal before. the owner is genuinely friendly an concerned with making sure his customers are satisfied.the liege waffles are delicious; crisp sugary crust, light and fluffy on the inside. the frites are twice fried in traditional belgian style, and the mayo selection is incredible. one of my favorite breakfast (or anytime) spots for sure.
