lovely unassuming cafe. food was nice andgoodproportions - i had the croque monsieur, which although presentation was nothing spectacular, was quite nice. hubby had panini which was decent. coffee was outstanding, best we’d had in a while.

i didn't like this bread. the sourdough was excessively chewy and dry and stodgy but without much flavour. it was warm when i got it, otherwise i'd guess it was quite old. the croissant was dense and stodgy but also seemed very buttery so that one really seems like it wasn't fresh but might have beengoodwhen it was. the outlet is more of a cafe too, with the bread offerings hard to see, although the staff are nice, the prices are normal and the coffee isn't too sludgy.

if you want some delicious bread and pastries this is the place to go. you can also dine in for brunch their normal breakfast menu is alright however, it’s really the bakery goods that are best. they also make reallygoodcoffee!

delicious bread, nice looking premises and friendly staff... but a bit overrated. this is simple food done up to a decent standard. my sandwich wasgoodbut the highlight was the bread. it was actual bread! (as stupid as it sounds). had a flourless orange cake and it was ok but nothing impressive... upside is they did not overload me with sugar. if you are in the area i would recommend this place for breakfast.

with a rating like this, you can't help but have high expectations. i had to give the sourdough pancakes a go despite not having much of a sweet tooth especially for breakfast. they were verygoodindeed, worth all the praise and positive reviews. but the true star of the meal for me had to be the lamb shoulder hash!! soo amazing, so delicious, and definitely the dish that will have me back again. honestly with the pancakes alone i wouldn't have rated so highly, but the lamb - my goodness this alone is a 4.5.

it is a bit in the middle of nowhere so the trek had to be made purely for the meal, but after my first visit i can conclude that it was all worth it indeed!

this is the only cafe near my work area that does agoodcoffee. but unless you want to spend $5.40 on a chai latte or >$4 for a coffee then don't come here. seriously, $5.40?! i had to break a $10 note to get a regular soy chai. won't be coming back.

on another note, obviously the bread and pastries aregoodbut i could just walk to croquembouche (another pastry cafe) down the road.

not a fan of the location of this place (way out in botany on a dusty road that people hoon along), but i wanted to try the pancakes. you'd never suspect this place is here between industrial places and across from a tavern looking golf course. the decor is simple but functional. service was friendly and efficient.

got the sourdough pancakes with honeycomb cream and berry compote ($16.50) and they were delicious. nourishing, crisp yet light, and excellent balance of flavours - not too sweet. also got a choc caramel tart ($6) to take away - yummy and delicate filling but the pastry could be shorter (and at $6 was a bit steep). finally capped off with a fresh oj ($5) -goodserving but oranges weren't that sweet and it wasn't cold (they didn't have a cold pressed option sadly).

all up really yum but not sure i'd trek down there for it again.

i’ve made it something of a tradition for me to visit brasserie bread whenever i visit the airport to pick someone up, it’s a great place for a very australian brunch after getting off the plane. brasserie bread is probably the first place that i specifically drove out to due to a social media post. someone posted their sourdough pancakes and they looked sogoodthat i just had to go try them for myself. since then i’ve gone from facebook spamming to instagramming food pics to food blogging and you can probably blame brasserie bread for all of that!

sort of out in the middle of nowhere. it's actually not that far away but it's on this long stretch of road that makes me feel i'm heading to the outback. so it feels far. i don't go very often but i really should. best pancakes in sydney. they're sourdough pancakes with a berry compote and honeycomb cream. i'm huge on texture and that's why i love these. they're not light and fluffy in my book. rather, spongy and chewy. sounds odd i know, but so incredibly good. and that texture is what lures me back. no-one else does it like this!? plus it obviously tastes fantastic with just the right level of sweetness. i really want to try the banana version but i can never pass up ordering the berry pancakes. maybe one day. have also had other stuff here. their pastries are amazing. especially the almond croissant. sandwiches are prettygoodtoo. really tasty but a little on the small/light side for me. their bread is naturally amazing and the standout in their sandwiches. not a fan of the coffee. overall, a fantastic little place that can get really busy during peak hours. the pancakes alone are worth the trip out here.

located in the industrious area of botany road, the menu is not extensive but the dishes i have tried are all pretty amazing.
i especially love the sourdough pancakes. it’s not sweet and more of a savory pancake and a great breakfast. the pancake is garnished with unsweetened berries (or you can have bananas instead) and topped with honeycomb cream. if you are someone like me who doesn't really like sweet things you've got to try this. my husband ordered lamb shoulders; he mentioned that food was very tasty with all the ingredients perfectly put together.  fantastic coffees and you can buy perfectly made pastries, condiments and breads. love this place!
update : came back and ordered banana sourdough pancake this time. this pancake is much sweeter than the berry one. banana and syrup on the bottom of pancake is really sweet but coconut yogurt offsets the sweet flavour well. i do prefer berry one for my taste but still its agoodpancake.

brasserie bread is truly down to earth. no elaborate furnishings or fancy menus. there's a giant chalkboard menu on the wall calling out as you enter.

we ordered the lamb shoulder hash and the smoked chicken on sourdough. unconventional as it may be for a breakfast item, the lamb was certainly a winner. it was tender, rich and accompanied with perfectly roasted and flavourful root vegetables and spinach. the smoked chicken was slightly misleading as i was actually expecting smoked chicken pieces but it turned out to be a very basic chicken roll sandwich. it was well done but ordinary. both dishes were served with freshly baked sourdough. i also really liked the butter they use (pepe saya butter), which was fabulously rich.

couldn't leave without buying a pain au chocolat and a chocolate almond croissant for tea and they were top notch. perfectly crisp on the outside, fluffy interiors and agoodamount of filling. what surprised me the most was my coffee! it is hands down the best cappucino i have had in this neck of the woods. i was wondering why it took a while for my coffee to arrive but well worth it for a well brewed cup of coffee.goodjob barrista!

really excited to discover this little hidden gem tucked away in an industrial warehouse close to my suburb. there are so many more pastries that look absolutely decadent such as the lemon tart and the caramel tart. can't wait to get my hands on them!

gets a 4.0 because its in a weird location with nogoodcompetition nearby (its a organic bakery cafe in an industrial zone) and the coffee was decent. i had the goat yoghurt muesli, a danish and a coffee. notgoodvalue but i loved the muesli, danish was old without crispness and coffee was solid. a friend had the sourdough french toast which was strange but filling. overall its an above average cafe with very filling and satisfying bread.

have only been here to taste their freshly made original sourdough's and sprouted wheat variety but alas they were delicious!

paired well with pepe saya butter! just think about it - freshly baked bread with butter - it doesn't get any better than that! unless you add some honey! :p

the single origin wheat is sourced from the southern finders range.

matt who explained to us of how this began also noted that when they first started making the bread he could taste a 'mineraly' taste but then realised it was coming from the soil. all thegoodnutrients were being tasted in the bread.

when people have that passion for what they do, it shows in the products they produce. gotta love the passion and the stories that come with it.

not sure what happened? all the great reviews and amazing food pics brought us here, but somehow the experience was overrated?
the banana pancakes however were really good...the florentine panini was over priced for what it was...surely 2eggs would not reduce the profit margin? the coffee was average (perhaps an off day for the barista) or the coffee itself was not asgoodas we are accustomed elsewhere?
not meaning to be too fussy...the location is not great but it is a factory...not going back.

they say you should never stop learning and growing, whether it is upgrading your skill at work or picking up new knowledge for a hobby. when brasserie bread invited me to attend their home baker workshop , i was thrilled i’d soon be able to add bakinggoodbread to my list of skills. other brasserie bread baking workshops include baking with brioche, baking with grains & seeds, artisan baking (sourdough) and perfect pastry. these classes are great as a gifts and can turn an ordinary weeknight into an evening of fun and productivity. the home baking workshop is ideal for those who want to get down to the basics of artisan baking. in a hands-on environment, we learn that bakinggoodbread involves technique, practice, goodingredients and lots of patience. more specifically, we are taught: 1. the correct mixing and hand-kneading technique for even distribution of ingredients 2. the fermentation process and how to allow time for flavours to develop thoroughly and naturally 3. hand mouldi
