a simple authentic assamese cuisinerestaurantwith traditional touch in it. the food is tasty and it reminds oneself of its traditional roots. even the items in the menu is remarkable. but the service is really slow and is not so special as one should except. even the sitting arrangement is not so special. and finally the plating, they seriously need to work on it, a few plating technique will really lead them to the chart. but still it's food that matters and to me, the food was really good and i really liked the bamboo shoot and would loved to visit again.

having landed in guwahati with a craving for assamese food we went in here with high expectations. therestaurantdid not fail to impress. we ordered three vegetarian thali and the chicken with sesame seeds. the three dals were just too good - very homely just as dals are supposed to be. i throughly enjoyed the mashed potatoes that were done in the assamese way. but the icing in the cake was the chicken wth sesame seeds. what flavour and aroma. mind blown! the staff was courteous and were disheartened yo see us not finish the chicken. we were disheartened ad well but with a full day of travel we just couldn’t stomach any more food. the portions thus are really good. overall - excellent food, well mannered staff, great portions and budget friendly makes this place a must visit for assamese food

i went out for lunch with my family to this ethnicrestauranttoday that serves a wide range of fish/pigeon/chicken (both local and broiler) cuisines. we ordered veg akhajs (thali) and chicken boiler curry with potatoes. the chicken curry dish was delicious and the thali was decent. the prices were reasonable too.

best mutton i ever had....just thatrestauranthas a slight smell of raw food in dining area...if they can use some aromatic thing to make it a more better place to dine in.

its a amazing place to taste foods, assamese cuisine,restaurantenvironment create a foodie vibes. lovely place. please go and have such tasty foods.

a truly ethnic place to give relief to your tongue from the junky north indian food everywhere. the place is cozy and well decorated for arestaurantof this level. as i entered i juat noticed one thing that there was no one else other than me. this is my second visit in this place but i am literally confused for this. the staff is well behaved and friendly, they give you one of the best ethnic delicacy in town, price is reasonable, then why does it remains empty. the food was really tasty. the only thing that i didnt like is like they just have the cash payment option, which is not expected by any customers bow a days. overall a good time there. do visit

i have heard about thisrestaurantso in puja i gave it a try. ordered rice,dal,mixed veg fry and chicken.. first we waited for nearly an hour to receive our order's as they were confused to whom they should give it first. the food was not upto the mark. the mixed veg was terrible. potato was not even fully boiled. rice n dal was good and the chicken was ok type. 5 piece of chicken cost 300 rs.. that was not justified with the taste. the bill arrived b4 finishing our food n we were like wtf?? so it's ur choice 2 visit but from my side it's a big no.

as near to my in-laws place i visit thisrestaurantwhenever i go to my native.. a small place that serve good ethnic cuisine in good price... til chicken ( chicken cooked in seasme paste) is a must try recipe here...if you are searching for good authentic assamese cuisine then this place is your's.. you can enjoy well cooked food with minimal spices..
so what's d wait for... whenever you wish for an assamese meal you can visit this place

bhut jolokia is a traditional assameserestaurant so  i  organized my son birthday party on 6 aug`16 … but i am very dissatisfied and upset  for service and management of this restaurant

they missed some item from menu as per agreement … fish was totally smelly …and many more …… but they charged  full amount as per our  agreement..

a wide variety of meat is used including chicken, mutton, pork and also the fish dishes is a must try. 

these dishes are made from freshly prepared spice blends and also there are the super hot variants for those who want to ttest their mettle .

it is perfect location to enjoy a wonderful experience for those who want to try out traditional assamese dishes .

i came to know that chef atul also runs khorisarestaurant. a runoff of his chain which also serves up beautiful assamese dishes . served in traditional bronze vessels which add a zing to assamese tag.

a visit to this ethnicrestaurantduring bohag bihu left me with mixed feelings... me and my friend decided to try this one after having tried almost all other ethnic outlets in the city...
nothing sort of welcoming decoration on bihu disappointed me... after we sat down we noticed only one waiter was serving all the tables... we opted for 2 veg akhaj along with chicken with sesame seeds, duck with gourd and small fish steamed in banana leaf.. however we were told that the latter 2 dishes were not available...
we had to be confined with duck with potato curry and skipped the fish section... serving was ok but i felt the use of plastic dishes in an ethnicrestaurantwas something to be looked into...
the chicken and duck dishes tasted great but the veg thalis had nothing special and the mixed veg tasted horrible... moreover the complimentary kharoli and kahoodi were missing...

please never visit this place. cook in your own home instead or go to a differentrestaurantor don't even go out but do not come here. horrible experience. tasteless food served cold with quantity too less and price comparatively too high. i went here with my family. and we sweared in the name of god never to step here.not recommended.

bhoot jolokia...as the name suggests, m sure it doesn't need any more elaboration. chef atul lahkar did a gud job, a decent place to eat out, staffs pretty courteous. now coming to the real deal, i did visit quite a few times there and i cant complain actually. i love chilies and the strong aroma u encounter once u enter therestaurantis simply tummy gurgling. i go there for the special bhoot jolokia items, trust me u gotta try them. i am sure you can literally feel smoke coming out of ur ears :p n the funniest part, once you order the menu containing bhoot jolokia, the waiter will warn you, seems its mandatory for all :d food is ok..but then its famous for its trademark items. can b termed as budget restaurant, dats what i feel. overall , its a must try for all those chilli enthusiast . :)

tip for tummy : what can i say ...once u try king of chilies :p

though their owners are the same,as i heard...i found thisrestaurantslightly superior to khorika...the food was nice,especially the one with sesame seeds..the pork dry was also one of the best i have ever had..looking forward to visiting this place again very soon..a place for perfect family dinner..highly recommended
