good to just below very good.. good value food, good beer. can see how service would suffer when packed. but honestly worth a try. think pub style food. would go back.

great place with amazing beers. throughly enjoyed the crankshaft ipa with spicy chicken wings. highly recommended for a few beers with friends.

ignorant staff. went to bentspoke on the recommendation of some friends for celebratory dinner. i ordered the rib eye steak which, according to the menu was to be accompanied by 'beernaise' sauce. when it arrived with seeded mustard i queried with the bearded hipster waiter in a polite manner why this was so. he said 'yeah, it's seeded mustard bernaise!' do you honestly think your customers are completely stupid? i pointed out it was not a sauce of any kind and showed him the menu after which he said he would check with the kitchen. on his return he, without waiting for any response, very rudely informed me that the menu was in fact wrong and it was now being served with a mustard sauce. fine if 1. i had been informed prior to ordering that the menu was out of date and 2. it was actually a sauce and not seeeded mustard taken straight from the jar. i am really annoyed by this experience as the steak was really not too bad and the beer is excellent. it is not enough however these days to offer a less than pleasant all round experince through rude service to patrons who are spoiled for choice and are informed about the food they order and expect.

beers were great, although were quite expensive. having said that, i don't mind paying for good beer in a nice setting. the food is average to say the least. the cheeseboard was okay. go here for beers and then find another place to eat in braddon.

great choices of beer and enjoyable evening. share plates were enjoyable - we had the ploughmans. cider was good. limited wine menu but good choices. a bit noisy.

if you want typical australian cuisine trying to copy american, this is the place for you. we did this for lunch. ploughman board.....good, except the ‘hot dog’ kabana thing on it. the pork belly was really good but needed a little more colour. don’t get the popcorn chicken, while they use real chicken, by the time it’s done, it’s chewy. the macaroni cheese smoked balls were perfect....except....they put them on a bed of chilli sauce.....yeah that’s a no! no one does that as it ruins the flavour of the cheese. one of my colleagues had the fish tacos and they actually were really good. the tables are small too. wouldn’t come back. it’s not bad, but, i would not waste my money to come back.

nice takeout during various states of lockdown / partial lockdown several miles the ago. great job trying to keep the enthusiasm high!

came here for the beer and it was excellent. as designated driver, i had the mid-strength, and it was the best flavoured mid-strength beer i've tasted (and we've done a lot of breweries!) my beer loving husband was equally as impressed. down side was they don't fill glass growlers or squealers which seems very odd...

if craft beer is your thing, this place is for you.

such a great place place, they have amazing selection of craft beers, knowledgeable and friendly service, and the food was pretty delicious too.

not only is this place renowned for its quality range of beer, but it possesses one the loveliest atmospheres going around. the service is impeccable without crowding you while you enjoy the delicious food on offer. the music is a great range of 80’s classics with a touch of easy listening rock and indie pop. if you are ever in canberra this is a must on your to do list.

good beer, sampled a couple of bar snacks - which were fresh, hearty & delicious (the macaroni balls are a winner). space can be a little warm & a little noisy but quite a good ambiance. we liked it so much we visited again.

loved the ambiance all around plus the fact they do have some really nice vegetarian options for mains.
we went for the thai curry and soup of the day which was a mushroom truffle oil soup while my parents had the chicken burger with chips. we also had the olives from the bar snacks menu. my parents really liked their burger initially a bit unsure about the charcoal buns. they really went well together.
loved the soup with the sardough bread, it had really lovely flavour. the curry too was well spiced and not too hot.
overall a great meal.

another great afternoon with our lovely friends great food and as always the beer amazing and the friendly staff outstanding .we will return very soon

customer service needs to improve. one particular staff member showed a very rude and sarcastic attitude to one of our group when he was trying to select his beer. given all your beers are your own brew, i would've thought staff should be trained to be as accomodating as possible with helping patrons with beer selections. very disappointing.
