confused. firstly, the beer is good - very good. quite expensive, but i guess that's what you get for a boutique brewery in canberra.

everything else is not so good. the fitout is very strange. upstairs is extremely cluttered with unorganised furniture everywhere. the lighting is bad - you don't put fluro warehouse lights in a pub.

the service is average. depsite it being really busy, everyone got kicked out at 12:30am on a friday night. the owners must be either extremely rich or extremely stupid - the line for knightsbridge across the road was mammoth in size.

canberra still needs a decent microbrewery in the city.

the place is amazeballs! incredible beer (fresh, tasty & different: hoppy-belgian-brown-ale?!). the design is both aesthetically pleasing (if you are into clean-industrial looks) and functional (ie: they also need to brew here). the food was good; tasty, the right size & suitably pub-style though it could do with a little expansion/variation - but they're only new so i'm sure that will come. and the staff look genuinely happy to be there despite their obvious exhaustion after a crazy couple of weeks! awesome!

atmosphere and layout was great. warm feel to the whole place. would happily drink there again. food, however, was way below par and pricing not matching the quality. chicken was plain and dry and meat was cold. not small details for a place with a good reputation. new chef perhaps?

i have been waiting a while to try this place, i'm up every month for a week and now it's open! the beer is amazing, second day in a row drinking the english bitter which stacks up with the best of my homeland! it makes me slightly home sick. then the food, just had the burger, the bun was anemic and stale, the patty a bit boring and a few straggly chips! this place has the potential for greatness just need the food to match the beer experience! i'll be back!

hot wings and barley griffin, a treat!. the barley griffin is a treat for the senses, definitely a great bespoke, bentspoke brew!
could easily sit down and knock back with multiple servings of the great hot wings. not super hot, but then again i love hot hot sauce, but all in a great bar snack to accompany the barley griffin. match made in heaven and will definitely have many joyous times enjoying this combo at the brew house!

average. good atmosphere and awesome customer service, but that is where it ends. the food was no better then pub food: warm steak, dry microwaved mac and cheese, and just rocket tossed in oil - definitely not worth the price.

i wonder if bentspoke is a play on words of bespoke, kind of like hipster but hand crafted? that would be kind of cool.

the microbrewery and canberra’s newest brewpub is located on the corner of mort and elouera streets in the hipster area of braddon. the interior had a very cool, industrial feel to it – a very appropriate vibe, given that the beer was produced on site!

this is a space that has to work and flow from the very first step in the brewing process to the beer being poured, and all the signs are that it does. while the downstairs bar takes up the length of the space, upstairs it’s down one end and also serves as a mask for the kitchen.

the highly anticipated double-storey microbrewery, bentspoke brewing company, had its opening yesterday at 11am. co-owned by former head brewer at the wig and pen, richard watkins, a crowd of canberra beer lovers were there for opening day/night. located in the habitat apartment complex in braddon, i could see a queue outside at 5.30pm as i tried to find a parking spot. the place was packed out! outdoor heaters provide some warmth to those waiting in the queue that cold night. i understand that an outdoor area is meant to be developed shortly. a door-woman stands in front of the thick wooden double doors keeping watch with a strict person capacity in the brewery - e.g. two people come out, only two people go in etc. while waiting, i peeked in to see canberrans enjoying an after-work beer with the massive beer tanks in the background. a menu of the six new beers created by bentspoke brewery was passed around the queue. after about 20 minutes, we were inside. the brewery has a slight in
