balai cafe will always be one of those cafés you’ll love to go to- for relaxation from a busy day at work, or at school. just the perfect place to unwind dor its cozy furnitures and the home vibe it provides, true to it’s name- balai.
food was great but what i can really recommend are their drinks.coffeeis what they are really known first next was their roasted chicken.

food was good and worth it at its price. i really like thecoffeehere, too. ambience was really nice, good place to catch up.

however, we waited for almost two hours for our food to be complete. one of my friends got irritated since when we first followed up for our order, we sensed that they have forgotten about it and told us to wait since the kitchen was busy. we waited for another hour for a salad and a breakfast plate. i think it would be wise if staff would actually write down the customer's orders instead of just memorizing it.

if not for the food, i would think twice on coming back here.

for a good meal with instagrammable corners, this is the place to be! love their chicken here! also the chicken skin!!! theircoffeeblends are okay too. worth every peso! will definitely come back again and again for this place!

brought my parents for brunch on a sunday. i love the ambience. it's cozy and homey. the service was also great. their brunch was amazing. i could eat breakfast food all day! the brewedcoffeewas good but i loved the chai latte! i will be back with some friends just to chill and hangout.

great place to chill. food andcoffeeis quite decent and very reasonably priced. staff was also cheerful and friendly, and service was prompt. cozy place and lots of instagrammable corners, but happy to say that you don't come here just for the 'gram (i feel like this is a common plague to the local food scene; all looks, no substance) — they actually have good things to offer! we went for breakfast, so we didn't get to try the farooj chicken with its four sauces as it's apparently only available from 11 onwards, but suffice to say we had a pleasant enough experience that it was a unanimous thumbs up from the group — bumped all the way up to our brunch haunt favorites :)

i love the ambiance of this place and very authentic interior design it really feels like you are in your 'balai'. the food were amazing, the staff were really nice and thecoffeeas well. overall it was a great experience.

highlights:
+ polite staff
+ nice lightings and ambiance is classic - i like it
+ great for dates : set up of the tables/chairs/mirrors and overall design of the place is well thought of
+ a lot of variety of food to choose
+ price is just right for casual dining
+ good for chill time as well coz' they servecoffeeand the likes
+ savory chicken - its a unique taste for me not the common chicken dish flavor that you can eat comopared to the commercialized restaurants

* i'll leave one point for them to maintain their good service and an opportunity for them to still improve on areas i was unable to capture

they have the bestcoffeein banilad! very nutty and neutral sweetness. staff is very accommodating and smiling. thank you for the great service!

if you want a quiet, instagram-worthy place where you can drink coffee, catch up with friends, and eat good food, you should try balai. food servings are very generous, and theircoffeeis decent.

cute littlecoffeeshop in banilad that’s super ig worthy to take pics. their decor is nice and their prices are ok. enjoyed their avocado toast. would come here again.

i love how home-y and classy the location and atmosphere is at the same time. i often visit the place forcoffeeand work. this was the first time i came to try their chicken. and i loved every bite of it. best paired with their curry rice. will definitely be back for their unli chicken tuesdays.

i don’t enjoycoffeeplaces that much, but this one i had to make an exception. this place is so lovely. whenever i go there it’s not very crowded and they have indoor and outdoor settings so you just choose wherever you’re comfortable. they also have awesome music. it’s pretty chill. service is good and their food and drinks have a reasonable price and they taste good.

it was my last day in cebu and my friend took me there for lunch. this place was one of the most instagram-mable restaurants i’ve been to in cebu. love how hipster it was with leather and wooden furniture around the establishment.

i ordered smoked salmon toast (php 239) and icedcoffee(php 138). i was excited to see how big the serving was. they didn’t cut back in using fresh ingredients. plus it was filling that i only had a few bites on the dishes my friends ordered.

prices and food presentation was good. a must visit when you are in cebu!
