loved their chicken meal. ambience is great, homey even. great place for first dates or just hanging out with your friends without the crowd and all.

i love the ambiance of this place and very authentic interior design it really feels like you are in your 'balai'. the food were amazing, the staff were really nice and the coffee as well. overall it was a great experience.

highlights:
+ polite staff
+ nice lightings and ambiance is classic - i like it
+ great for dates : set up of the tables/chairs/mirrors and overall design of the place is well thought of
+ a lot of variety of food to choose
+ price is just right for casual dining
+ good for chill time as well coz' they serve coffee and the likes
+ savory chicken - its a unique taste for me not the common chicken dish flavor that you can eat comopared to the commercialized restaurants

* i'll leave one point for them to maintain their good service and an opportunity for them to still improve on areas i was unable to capture

love the ambience of the place. love their latte frappe coffee! staff were friendly. food were really good though it took some time when it was served. but it was understable since there were many people at that time. but all in all i would recommend this place if you want to hang out with your friends with cozy ambience.

good coffee, fine food & great ambiance for a date or in groups. i recommend the farook chicken & chicken skin coz it's tasty paired with curry rice & cumin fries. if you are not fond or first time eating curry rice, i suggest you mixed it with plain rice to mellow down the taste. hehehe.😁 dark mocha & luscious mocha is a must try.😋👌

the ambience has always been great and glad to see it grow even more. have a lot of options to choose from the menu but not to a point where you'll be overwhelmed. staff is very attentive, huge parking space and clean toilet.

such a good cafe!!! i just find this cafe so far. since i love breakfast foods, my boyfriend suggested this place and we went here for breakfast and the food did not disappoint me! it was indeed delicious! the drinks too!!! the staffs are so accommodating like they'll really help you for everything you need! it's a must try for everyone!

it took awhile for me to try this place because, word is, it's always packed and parking can be tricky. if you are afraid of the crowd, consider going on a sunday past conventional lunch hour. the interiors and outdoor area are airy and tastefully-designed. it's hip without being intimidating. price-wise, it also hit a sweet spot. paid only php1,700+ for 5-6 dishes and 4 juices. taste-wise, it is good. i just wish the plates were served warm (the chicken with rice and cumin fries was reheated, we supposed). quite disappointed with the cream pesto pasta but that should not stop you from trying balai.

this place was lovely! we both had their bacon plates and it was delicious. generous amount of food. this was the best breakfast we’ve had since moving to cebu.

i get confused with this place. sometimes they can really impress, but sometimes i just feel like they are being lazy. at least it’s more of the former than the latter. cumin fries are good. crispy. salad is salad. not much there. i just love their pan seared salmon, which you should make sure to try. the pesto sauce on it is what made it a winner. was just disappointed one time when my cousin was served reheated food that wasnt even heated long enough though. so that was disappointing... steaks are ok. drinks are average. nice, fun ambiance. they even have a function room for around 10-15 people which you can reserve. overall good despite the occasional mishaps

if you want a quiet, instagram-worthy place where you can drink coffee, catch up with friends, and eat good food, you should try balai. food servings are very generous, and their coffee is decent.

its our 3rd time dining at your cafe. our first and second were really great! i gave you 5 stars in google location review. its just that, this time it was disappointing. your staff forgot what we have ordered. if i wasnt able to get their attention, our orders will not be in our table right away. i know you have lots of customer in a sunday evening but please, do some checking of what the customer's order time to time.

and the most important thing is, don't mess with a 'hangry' person. sometimes, they're mean...so you should understand. 😀

btw, we really love your ice-blended drinks. 😉

food and ambiance is good. price is just right. however, service is disappointing. had to wait 50mins (initially said 30mins) for the roasted whole chicken. waited another good 20mins for a cumin fries (not worth the price, btw). had to ask for water every now and then even when waiter gets the empty water pitcher from our table. good thing we weren’t that super hungry.

went there at 7am for breakfast. the ambience is very cozy, there’s a lot of food choices, and the food is delicious. not complaining, just an observation, their service isn’t very fast. i would recommend this place for breakfast dates!
