so this was quite talked about places in pondicherrythe lady at the counter was really polite to us . she managed to serve the fresh cheesecake. they have huge variety of items to choose from but it was really crowded during mornings

not only is their service terrible ( the lady at the reception is so rude ) we found a cockroach in the food. it is unhygienic and over hyped - when we informed the staff about the cockroaches they didn't even do anything. they had no concern for our worry of insects crawling around the pastries. the burger was undercooked and quite flavourless. the chocolatine had very little chocolate in it and the pastry was dry and smelt old. the ac doesn't work and flies were swarming around. regret visiting the place. want a refund.

the place is nice and air conditioned. but that's it. lots of french food options. but stale. not fresh. we ordered a cheesecake, chocolate cookie, eclairs cafe. but all items were overpriced and not fresh. sadly this place features in best of pondicherry collection by zomato, for god knows what reason. the staff is horrible. the billing counter lady overcharged me, but when i pointed out her mistake, instead of apologizing, she gave me back a torn note. when i asked her to change, she made a frustrated face and made me wait for 15 minutes, only to say she doesn't have a new note. i'd say totally avoid this place, if something else is open.

horrible is a very small word for the food available at this place. the bread used in the sandwiches was so hard and tough that it scrapes the floor of the mouth and caused wounds inside the mouth. the tikki used in the burger was totally burnt and stale completely. we had this food take away for our return journey from pondichery to bangalore to have it on the way since there are no good eating spots on the way and all the 4 food items we have to through as it is and cross the whole journey hungry. the worst is place to visit!!!

if you want to try a nice french breakfast, this is the place you should go. food was really delicious especially the sandwich.

its a cozy place to hangout to. variety of bakery stuff to try and have. we tried chicken burger, chicken pizza & a sandwich. we shared 4 items among two, and fortunately the portion size was good enough. owner is warm and welcoming. must have place to go to when ya in pondi 😇

if baked french goodies are your thing, baker’s street is the place to be!🥖🥐🍞

it’s an ideal spot for breakfast/brunch to get your day started with some freshly baked food in the midst of delicious aroma & a lot of conversations in french.

being a person who follows a plant based diet, the options were limited. nevertheless there are ample of options for vegetarians.👍🏼

p.s it was our last day in pondicherry so we ended up taking a lot of breads & bakes back home directly from here too!💃🏻

love this place. multiple options to eat. good area. parking is the challenge. this place has good sorbets and fresh bakes . u will be so amazed to see the quality of the products. very very satisfying 😍

it is a must try french bakery in pondicherry. they are one of the few ones which opens at 7
am and remains open till late in night. they do have takeaway options and dine in. you need to
place an order at the counter and it is then served on your table. i tried a couple of items - veg
croissant, chocolate mille feuille and chocolate macaroon.

the croissant had onions, spinach, tomatoes and a lot of cheese. it was quite buttery and very
well baked. it was my first time trying mille feuille. it’s basically layers of flaky pastry sheets with
a filling of chocolate between them. i totally loved it and it is a must try here. the macaroons
were also very well made. the shell was crunchy while the filling was moist and soft. also, the
staff was very polite and followed the safety precautions.

best bakery items i have ever tasted in my whole life. tried eclair, sandwiches, palmier, cheese cake etc etc and everything was yummy and awesome. it's the place where i feel like to eat each and everything. really awesome bakery, it's a must place to visit in pondy.

delicious french quick eats and desserts in the mini france of india! they have a widespread of dessert and breakfast pastries that i highly recommend checking out. i wish they had a delivery option for locals in puducherry.

the best tuna sandwich i've eaten till date! subway's tuna sandwich is supposed to be like this but our very own indian franchisees continue to spoil it with their method of baking their own bread and then toasting it, if required. and that's where the difference lies.. the bread used by baker street and the tuna mix with lettuce will make you drool over this sandwich. not a lot of veggies like the one by subway but this simple sandwich preparation is all it takes to make you go wow!
