too crowded, poor ambience, taste of food not upto mark.
cliche example of touristy hype, rather lacking any merit in taste or ambience. tried 3 dishes and a coffee, didn like even one.

a mesmerizing display of baked stuff; it could be very hard to decide what to eat and what to leave. mornings could be a bit a rush and you may not find a place to seat, though they have adequate seating. a tip for bangaloreans: carry cash, it's not bangalore! and they don't accept card for orders below 400 (either order everything you may eat in one go, or keep cash if you plan 2-3 separate orders with 1-2 items per order).

you clearly deserve more than 5 stars. best beef burger and ham sandwich in a long time, thanks to you. wife picked them up on our way to the airport this morning. she also said the one who runs the plays is one cool lady. wish i'd come to this place sooner. couldn't take any pictures as we were busy stuffing our faces.

visited this for breakfast on a monday. fortunately, there wasn't much crowd when we entered. the restaurant has laudable variety of croissants, subs and quiche. we took a chocolate twist croissant, tuna sub and chicken quiche. taste was absolutely lovely. ambience reflects mixed cultures with english food on display, indian songs on speakers and japanese art on the walls. overall a good experience for the cost.

baker street is one of the best things that has ever happened to me .. i was mesmerised by the range of baked stuff kept on display right after you enter the place.
i have heard so much good about this place and the fact that it is equally popular among foreign tourists.. baker street justifies it all.
we tried the croissants, eclairs, quiche, sandwich & coffee.
we brought home cookies & chocolates.
only fault i could manage to find was in myself for failing to return here while still being in pondicherry & pack more stuff for home.
each & every item smelled & tasted the most perfect it could be.
managed to have a little chat with the person behind counter & learnt that all of the baked stuff are prepared strictly following authentic french recipes.. no doubt!!
please please do drop by this place if you are in pondicherry!
such awesome spread & such amazing taste.. the kind you relish all life long ❤️

happy eating 🤤

wondering where to eat the best croissant in french colony of pondicherry, head over to baker street for flaky and buttery croissant. the quaint cafe offers different types of breads and pastries to indulge in. they added some great indian touch to french fine dine to present a great breakfast place. the eclair and croissant were mouth watering. also try some of their various sandwiches and pita bread. the pizza and cheese cake could've been better. indulge in some authentic french patisserie at baker street. add this place to your check list on your way to pondi.

there are very few veg options to try on. it would have been really good if there were more options such as that of non veg items. also few bakery items and desserts were really overpriced.

we tried butter crossiant and chocolate croissant. both taste good. their desserts are awesome too. but this bakery is more pricey than the ones with same cuisine. must try when you visit pondy

if in puducherry step into this cafe to get a whiff of french love. ranging from croissants to cakes to a whole lot of baked love this place is perfect for a hearty breakfast. the cafe has a good seating area where after ordering you can sit down to enjoy and eat the best breakfast while being in puducherry. the aroma of this place is exquisite and smells like love. things to try here are their cheesecake, croissants and their freshly baked cakes or pastries. many locals visit here frequently to have breakfast after returning from their morning run or some prefer takeaways. either way you cannot miss this place without tingling the sweet spot of your tongue. the prices are in mid range but that's worth the money. definitely visit here for a breakfast after seeing the beautiful yellow vintage places of puducherry which will give you feeling of wanderlust and give you incredible ig food shots.

the ambience is not the best, but the food is rather good.
had their croissant and a sandwich, both equally good.
i would recommend the place for grabbing a quick bite or if you feel snackish.

it is a nice place for breakfast/snacks and extremely popular amongst tourists. when we landed there at 11,it was jam packed, there was hardly any place to properly sit and eat. the place is very small and congested but if you find a place to sit and eat,you won't regret the wait. we tried veg pita and spinach sandwich. both were delicious and pricy! zomato says 400 for 2 which is absolutely wrong if you are trying out breakfast items and not their bakery sweets like a croissant, pastry etc. we didn't go for anything else to drink because a normal coffee or juice was way too pricy. otherwise a good place to go and have good food in puducherry!

this place is a 'must visit' when you are in pondicherry. their desserts are too...good. we had choco eclair and another dessert ( i don't remember the name of it), the choco eclair is something that is simple and very delicious.
