atomic omelette and grill

we love to eat out when we take road trips and we always seek out the out of the way locations......no chains for us! this was the best breakfast by far! omelettes, frenchtoastand biscuits are atomic!!!!!!!

came here for breakfast after making an 8 hour drive to corpus christi. everything was delicious! the atomic omelet definitely had some kick from the serrano peppers, but the flavor was incredible! the hawaiiantoastwas definitely something unique and delicious! if your looking for a little hole in the wall joint to have an amazing breakfast at, you certainly can't go wrong here!

my husband and i ate here today and the hawaiian frenchtoastwas good but my hubbs tamale omelet fell short too much of that comino sauce it blanketed the omelet and the potatoes were not fully roasted a bit slimy and not a great flavor. will not likely return.

we chose the huevos locos omelet and the eggs look amazing. the edge of the omelet makes a perfect curve to match the plate. tortillas strips are perfectly perched. potatoes and peppers look crispy and browned, and thetoastis upright between the potatoes and fruit. you bite into this dish and you are hit with how fluffy and buttery those eggs are! clearly cooked in butter and amazing in your mouth. the serrano is cooked right into the egg and it is topped with a delicious salsa that is made in-house. great depth of flavors with the beans and chorizo, too!

one thing we really loved about this omelet is that wasn’t overpowered with cheese. we opted for the monterey jack cheese and they added just the right amount – the flavor and texture conveyed, but you still had all the textures and flavors of the omelet and its ingredients without any of it being greasy.

so good!!!

we also had the hawaiian frenchtoastand it was sweet, crunchy, and delicious. we’re not really into sweets, but we couldn’t stop devouring that french toast. we did not use syrup, as the dish was very sweet. excellent with a hot cup of coffee! and paired well with bacon, as the salt helped cut the sweetness between bites. we’ve never had frenchtoastprepared this way anywhere else… it was crunchy on the outside, buttery, sweet, and soft on the inside.

ugh, i really wanted to rate this place well but i just can't. i got chicken, american cheese, bacon, and jalapeños on my omelette. it was indifferent to any other omelette i've had, because the flavors of the chicken and bacon went m.i.a. the only thing i could taste was the heat of the jalapeños and the bland flavor of the egg. however, their frenchtoastis phenomenal! it reminds me of a funnel cake that was freshly made at a carnival. alone it taste great, but adding syrup takes it to another level. it was hands down the best frenchtoasti've had. i highly recommend the french toast, but skip the omelette unless you have a lot of salt and pepper.

great food, excellent staff and service. the owners are present and seem to really ,are for their staff. they offer a military and veterans discount. get the frenchtoaston hawaiian bread... amazing.

this place is amazing! best burger i have ever had in my life! (they are made on hawaiian bread) must order with sweet potato fries!! speaking of hawaiian bread, their hawaiian bread frenchtoastis delicious too. and of course their omelette is fab!!! oh and their biscuits... ok, this place maybe my favorite in cc.

atomic omelette and grill. having a free saturday morning, my partner and i decided to check out atomic omelette.

there was a decent crowd dining, so we figured this place must be popular. the wait staff was prompt with our seating and ordering. there were normal sights and sounds of a busy diner, with wonderful aromas wafting around the dining room.

coffee was steaming hot and flowed freely. my partner ordered the atomic omelette, while i ordered the vege omelette. we shared an order of hawai'ian frenchtoastwith sausage. all our food was good, and the prices were quite reasonable.

great food. the omelet and the frenchtoastwere really good. can't wait to try more of their stuff

i was excited about going here and was solely disappointed. the girl at the counter was no help and got my order wrong. i didn't have time to re-order, so i tried to eat some soggy undercooked frenchtoastwith soggy corn flakes on it. it was awful. the coffee was worse. i won't go back.

wow. i don't usually write reviews but this was so bad i had to do it.. went to atomic omlette for breakfast this morning, a group of 8 of us. this same group gets together once a month for breakfast, and we have been several places, thought we would give this one a try.

it was a horrible experience. when we arrived, the restaurant was not busy. there was another group of 8 who were just finishing their breakfast, and we were told that as soon as they were done we could have that table. a bit of a wait, but that was no problem, we usually have to wait wherever we go. but it all went downhill from there.

you have to order and pay up front at the counter, which again we didn't think was any problem. have to get your own coffee and/or soda, again not a problem. but. about 5-10 minutes after we were seated, the first couple got their breakfast. they tried to be polite and wait for the rest of the meals, which we assumed were right behind them, but no. everyone concurred they should go ahead and eat. 10 or so minutes later, another couple's meals arrived. still four of us sitting there with nothing. 5-10 minutes later one more person got their meal (and i have to mention again that it was not busy. there were maybe 5 other two tops there, at least five wait staff, a manager, and at least five kitchen staff. and it's a small place.) another 5-10 minutes, another meal was served. at this point my partner and myself still did not have food and the first couple was done. in the interim, a waiter came with coffee but only offered it to the couple on the end, closest to him.

finally we flagged down the waitress and told her we still had not gotten served. she looked at us like we were either crazy or lying, and said in a very snippy tone "well, which number are you" i said "number 9. you took the number off of the table when you served the last person." she proceeded to get flustered and called the manager over. we told him the situation. there was no "i'm sorry", no nothing, in fact i'm not sure he even spoke at all. we told him that if the entire table was done before we had even been served, he could keep the food and give us our money back. oh - one more point, we were watching the kitchen and wait staff and one of our friend's food sat at the pass for at least 5 minutes, maybe more. again, not busy at all.

at that point, one of our friends who had already finished their meal said "it's not as if it's worth the wait" which led us to a discussion about the actual food. it was ok, but barely that, and at $20 per couple for an omlette and coffee it was soooooooo not worth it. one person's eggs were over cooked, one undercooked. fruit (cantaloupe) was not ripe. we finally got our meals, which were both also overcooked (mine served with whitetoastinstead of the biscuit i ordered.) we didn't even want them by that point anyway, since the rest of the table had finished.

bottom line, sub-par food, way overpriced, and horrible service - even though the only thing required of the wait staff is to bring the food since we did the initial order and payment ourselves. won't be going back.

omelette and french toast. the basic omelette was $5.99 and each additional item you have to pay for add smoked ham(hardly any) .99 - add mushroom(again hardly any) .49 add spinach(again hardly any) .49 add sun-dried tomatoes(again hardly any) .49 add bacon(again not much) .99 most of it was egg and a little cheese.
they call it hawaiiantoastwhich was good with sausage but not worth $6.99 for 2 pieces of bread and 2 small round sausage. 2 omelettes and 2 french breads cost me a whopping $34.50..............wow $5.99 for a basic omelette with not much on it but 3 eggs and cheese is outrageous!!!! sorry i can't go back with those type prices. i will say it all tasted fantastic. but they are definitely making money off of corpus christi

it was okay.. i'm always excited to try a new restaurant that isn't a chain, and especially excited for a new breakfast place. my mother, daughter and i headed over there yesterday morning for an early lunch. my mom wanted breakfast so she ordered the hawaiian french toast, i ordered the crabcake sandwich and i ordered the hamburger for my daughter with a side of fruit.
i'll start with mine. it was pretty good, but gratuitously large. so much so that i don't think i was able to eat more then a third of it. i prefer my crabcakes smaller and rounder i guess. it was a little heavy on the bell pepper for my taste, but they definitely didn't skimp on the crab meat, so a+ for that. i would have preferred a better crust to it as well.
my mother's frenchtoastcame out cold. while tasty, we're not sure what was hawaiian about it and didn't really think it was anything special. i guess we were expecting some macadamia nuts, pineapple, coconut, something.
my daughter's burger was fine, she is 14 months so she isn't a huge critic, but i was bothered to find jalapeno slices in her fruit.

overall, it was okay. not sure if we'll be going back, as we live over the bridge and it is on the far side of town, but it is worth giving it a try.
