atomic omelette and grill

had a great breakfast!. nice look and feel to the place. people at the entrance were very helpful, but the wait staff were overwhelmed and getting wait assistance was limited. the dishes we had ordered were very good and large portions.

i got the signature omelette, and it was good...spicy, too, go figure. for new, the side of fruit did not complement the meal well but the wheat today and potatoes were a godsend!

not good. went there last saturday with my brothers from out of town, all of us had the atomic omelette plate (4). home fries were good, the omlettes not so much. was just scrambled eggs with little filling mixed in, topped with a bland hot sauce. forgot 2 biscuits and had to wait another 15 minutes for them. o and hot chocolate is a packet and you go get your own hot water to mix. service was lacking and food not worth going back for. sorry i put my brothers through this.

that is not an omelette. they should rename the place "the lazy omelette" because the thing that they serve is not an omelette. the ingredients were fresh and the service was nice and prompt, but you can't toss scrambled eggs in a pan, scramble in a bunch of ingredients, cook the egg until it browns, fold it in half then toss it on a plate and call it an omelette. that is just over-cooked scrambled egg with stuff in it. seriously -- they have all the makings of a great restaurant and from other reviews they seem to have tasty food, but read a cookbook or watch a video. "omelette" is a real culinary word that refers to egg of a certain consistency and texture. forego touting the fact that you make an enormous 3-egg omelette and instead focus on making one of the few "real" omelettes in corpus christi.

we love to eat out when we take road trips and we always seek out the out of the way locations......no chains for us! this was the best breakfast by far! omelettes, french toast and biscuits are atomic!!!!!!!

nice place, great cheese steak!. we have been to the atomic omelette three times now and have been pleased with the food. the omelettes are nicely done and there is a wide array of items from which to choose to make your own creation. there are also a few predefined creations, of which we tried the atomic and found it to be quite good but not as spicy as expected. the desserts are lovely, the staff very friendly (especially june, a real go-getter and a great guy) but the biggest surprise is a really, really good philly cheese steak. it's terrific!

we also like the fact that the last time we went there was a mix of fruit available, and that we could get just one or two types. this matters because unfortunately, several of us have different allergies to specific fruits, such as canteloupe. the place is nice and clean and the benches and chairs are comfortable, although based on the name and the design of the sign i expected a funkier interior, say retro fifties space age or something like that.

the one thing we wish were different is the order-at-the-counter and pay first deal. at least one member of our party has balance and mobility issues and so we have to order for him. it would be much easier for us if it were a more traditional set up, with wait staff who come to the table to take the orders and then bring the check after.

came here for breakfast after making an 8 hour drive to corpus christi. everything was delicious! the atomic omelet definitely had some kick from the serrano peppers, but the flavor was incredible! the hawaiian toast was definitely something unique and delicious! if your looking for a little hole in the wall joint to have an amazing breakfast at, you certainly can't go wrong here!

in times of covid-19, cash is not desirable to touch. waitress only accepts cash. try placing that on your website. i jumped through hoops going to convenience store atms and finally my bank to get cash. i brought it back and put it on the table about a half hour later. your coffee is terrible.

what a great find. i was in cc for business and wanted to get out of the hotel on a sunday morning. atomic was open, well rated and reasonable. it was very busy! and i see why! i had the crab cake benedict. i’m not a huge fan of crab cake because they’re usually quite heavy. these were light, thin with a kick! the hollandaise was just right in taste and amount and it was all served over a bed of spinach. delicious. the side of a thin english muffin, home style potatoes and a cup of fruit. way to much food to eat.

eh, the food wasn't bad, but wasn't great. it's like i hit it on a day that nothing had any good flavor. staff are young and the service was slow. 

i will try this place again though.

my husband and i ate here today and the hawaiian french toast was good but my hubbs tamale omelet fell short too much of that comino sauce it blanketed the omelet and the potatoes were not fully roasted a bit slimy and not a great flavor. will not likely return.

we chose the huevos locos omelet and the eggs look amazing. the edge of the omelet makes a perfect curve to match the plate. tortillas strips are perfectly perched. potatoes and peppers look crispy and browned, and the toast is upright between the potatoes and fruit. you bite into this dish and you are hit with how fluffy and buttery those eggs are! clearly cooked in butter and amazing in your mouth. the serrano is cooked right into the egg and it is topped with a delicious salsa that is made in-house. great depth of flavors with the beans and chorizo, too!

one thing we really loved about this omelet is that wasn’t overpowered with cheese. we opted for the monterey jack cheese and they added just the right amount – the flavor and texture conveyed, but you still had all the textures and flavors of the omelet and its ingredients without any of it being greasy.

so good!!!

we also had the hawaiian french toast and it was sweet, crunchy, and delicious. we’re not really into sweets, but we couldn’t stop devouring that french toast. we did not use syrup, as the dish was very sweet. excellent with a hot cup of coffee! and paired well with bacon, as the salt helped cut the sweetness between bites. we’ve never had french toast prepared this way anywhere else… it was crunchy on the outside, buttery, sweet, and soft on the inside.

ugh, i really wanted to rate this place well but i just can't. i got chicken, american cheese, bacon, and jalapeños on my omelette. it was indifferent to any other omelette i've had, because the flavors of the chicken and bacon went m.i.a. the only thing i could taste was the heat of the jalapeños and the bland flavor of the egg. however, their french toast is phenomenal! it reminds me of a funnel cake that was freshly made at a carnival. alone it taste great, but adding syrup takes it to another level. it was hands down the best french toast i've had. i highly recommend the french toast, but skip the omelette unless you have a lot of salt and pepper.

great food, excellent staff and service. the owners are present and seem to really ,are for their staff. they offer a military and veterans discount. get the french toast on hawaiian bread... amazing.

this place is great. their omelets are thick and fluffy, like an omelet is supposed to be. (unlike the ones i make at home) there's a bunch of crazy shit you can get in/on your omelet, but it just really detracts from the omelet itself. keep it simple,... cheese, bacon, mushrooms, sausage are all badass. and the salsa is super garlicy..... fresh garlic.
home fries and fruit come standard, but do yourself a favor.... and get a biscuit too.
