save your money! don't go here!. i am not understanding the good reviews for this place. are you people family? employees? owners? it was horrible! we are new to corpus and enjoy trying new places. my husband was really excited when i brought home the flyer. the first saturday they opened we stopped in at 9am and they were out of eggs, pancakes and "food" we were told. the place was packed. so we decided to try it again another time. no problem.

we went this past saturday. my husband and i each had an omelette thinking it would be amazing. our son had the kids burger (not a big breakfast fan). our little guy had a pancake. let me add they do not have pancakes on their kids menu (or really much of a kids menu). we ordered at the counter then found a booth.

the pancake was awful! you could taste the baking soda! our 5 year old thought it was "gross" and would not eat it. (did i say he was 5 and it was a pancake?). our 11 year old who had the burger ate two bites of it. he said it was dry and worse than the ones they serve at school. my husband tried it and said it was worse than the ones served on the ship when he is deployed.

as for the "atomic omelette's" which i assumed would be out of this world were terrible. they were cooked fast on too high of a heat making the eggs tough and added a rough texture. the cheese was not a fresh cheese more like a velveeta. the potatoes that come with the meal were gritty and needed to be washed. they were also not seasoned or flavored at all.

so, since every single item we ordered was absolutely awful this place gets a bad review from me. i didn't even mention it is crowded seating, get your own drinks (no service) and prices are way too much. omelette is $5.99 and add .99 for each and any meat item you want. add .49 for each veggie you want to add. it isn't an omelette if it is only eggs and cheese ...right?

so very much did not like!

atomic omelette review. my husband and i eat out alot. we only go to eateries with wonderful wait staff and great food. we will definitely be going back. food was very good, i had traditional breakfast. hubby had a super omelette of some sort and he could almost not finish it. well worth your money. go give it a try.
there is no description of what u get on the menu, but the cashier knows exactly what u get. the staff is very friendly, they are right there if u need anything. the food great, love the biscuits, and one pancake was plenty. it is awesome to get a new private restaurant where the food is perfect and the staff cares. i give them a 10+

best omelete in town. i have eaten there several times. can't beat their breakfast. coffee is great and the omelets are awesome. plenty of choices to build your own omelet and the side of potatoes and fruit are great.

great dining experience. my dining experience here was fantastic. the staff was extremely friendly, which is hard to find these days anywhere. i had a spinach omelette, which i have to say was really quiet good. the salsa...i actually wish they would bottle for sale. even the fruit was seasoned to perfection. i will definitely return for lunch...as i want to try the salmon salad. worth the drive to dine there.

i have gone to eat breakfast and lunch here already and both times i was absolutely pleased with the food. i had the blueberry pancakes for breakfast, best i ever had, the fresh berries burst in your mouth as you eat them. the price was $7.99, not bad considering the 2 pancakes were a bigger portion. for lunch i had their bbq burger, terrific! they make their own bbq in house and it has a sweet flavor with a little heat as well. the burger patty was juicy too, hard to find these days. the menu doesn't describe any food but the people at the counter know how to describe everything. the prices are a little higher on some foods, but the quality of the food is definitly worth paying a little more for. i will definitly keep going back to aog.

omelette and french toast. the basic omelette was $5.99 and each additional item you have to pay for add smoked ham(hardly any) .99 - add mushroom(again hardly any) .49 add spinach(again hardly any) .49 add sun-dried tomatoes(again hardly any) .49 add bacon(again not much) .99 most of it was egg and a little cheese.
they call it hawaiian toast which was good with sausage but not worth $6.99 for 2 pieces of bread and 2 small round sausage. 2 omelettes and 2 french breads cost me a whopping $34.50..............wow $5.99 for a basic omelette with not much on it but 3 eggs and cheese is outrageous!!!! sorry i can't go back with those type prices. i will say it all tasted fantastic. but they are definitely making money off of corpus christi

get there early!. we got to aog a few minutes after 8 on saturday morning. the menu is a bit confusing, as there are no explanations on the black board, but the staff was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. i had the veggie omelette and it was awesome, full of veggies and covered with sliced avocado. the potatoes were well seasoned and not your run of the mill hash browns. the fruit was nothing special, but it was nice to see it included with breakfast. the biscuit was delicious! all in all i would give this new place two thumbs up. i want to go and try the lunch menu next time, will let you know how it measures up!

not worth eating at. whole restaurant has problems. for starters, menu is confusing and has no descriptions of dishes. the booths and tables are from the previous restaurant and i believe the paint is too. they don't have a soda fountain and give you a can of soda for 1.50. the food is far from great. i had a burger and instead of fries they give you plain chips and mine were the small crushed ones that come from the bottom of the bag. there were no napkins at the table and none were brought with the meal. my overal experience was bad and i will not return. i do not recommend eating here.you would be better off going to a fast food chain.

it was okay.. i'm always excited to try a new restaurant that isn't a chain, and especially excited for a new breakfast place. my mother, daughter and i headed over there yesterday morning for an early lunch. my mom wanted breakfast so she ordered the hawaiian french toast, i ordered the crabcake sandwich and i ordered the hamburger for my daughter with a side of fruit.
i'll start with mine. it was pretty good, but gratuitously large. so much so that i don't think i was able to eat more then a third of it. i prefer my crabcakes smaller and rounder i guess. it was a little heavy on the bell pepper for my taste, but they definitely didn't skimp on the crab meat, so a+ for that. i would have preferred a better crust to it as well.
my mother's french toast came out cold. while tasty, we're not sure what was hawaiian about it and didn't really think it was anything special. i guess we were expecting some macadamia nuts, pineapple, coconut, something.
my daughter's burger was fine, she is 14 months so she isn't a huge critic, but i was bothered to find jalapeno slices in her fruit.

overall, it was okay. not sure if we'll be going back, as we live over the bridge and it is on the far side of town, but it is worth giving it a try.
