butter cake!. came to arrowhead grill for mother's day 2010. it was agreatexperience.
it was a price fixe menu. we had 5 people in our party and our mom doesn't eat that much food, so they let us order 4 price fixe menu items and brought my mom out an extra plate to share from us. very accommodating.
good service and friendly wait staff. the owner even came over and checked on us.
the butter cake dessert was fantastic! i highly recommend it. although it does take about 20 minutes for the cake to come out. i think our server forgot to mention that.
i have been here for dinner as well. their sides and fish are excellent.
we will definitely be back. they gave our mom a 20 dollar gift card to use. wohoo! can't wait.

food isgreat- service terrible!. we really, really wanted to like this place. as westsiders, our fine dining options are limited. we have been to arrowhead 3 times (thinking it had to get better!) and won't be going back. although the food is very good, the poorly trained staff does such a terrible job - that they ruin it. their prices are way too high for such sub-standard service. if they want to attract people who expect a different standard of service - they need to hire professionals who know what they're doing.

the last two times i dined here with my wife it was wonderful. we hadgreatservice and spent an average of $400 each time with tip (we tip big).

the two times that followed, never happened.

we booked online via open table and selected the standard table with a requested romantic setting.

after driving 40 minutes to eat here, we were told by a rude hostess that we had specifically requested outdoor seating. because who doesn't want to eat outside in 107 degree heat in dress clothing in phx in july?

right.

i pulled up the ot reservation on my phone and showed her and the manager that no outside request had been made and that their system was wrong. the reservation confirmed what i said and we had just driven 40 minutes to drop $400 at their place.

they basically told my wife and i tough luck and the soonest they could get us a table was 90 minutes later.

yeah. let me just pay you to wait 90 minutes after you screwed up our reserveration twice in the past two visits.

do yourself a favor, there are plenty of places that have good food and service that won't screw you twice on a simple online reservation.

don't make the mistake we did and drive out there twice to be treated like a serf.

first class.greatplace at happy hour. the bar food isgreatand the prices are reasonable. service was wonderful and the group that was with us had nothing but good things to say.

fantastic happy hour!. had agreatmeal on the patio during happy hour. half price on many items, fantastic food, delicious burgers. wonderful atmosphere andgreatservice. we'll be back!

my husband and i had dinner at the arrowhead grill for our anniversary. the atmosphere of the restaurant is dimly lit and is nicely accommodated. there is a bar and the dinner seating is off of the kitchen.

we ordered seafood, an appetizer, salad and a bottle of wine. our waitress was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. the bottle of wine took a little while to get to the table, but was very yummy. dinner was excellent, although a bit pricey. the potatoes had a little too much cheese. for dessert, they brought us a special complimentary anniversary plate, with a sparkler!greatplace for a special occasion dinner.

fantastic food and wine. alwaysgreatservice and terrific food. wine list has a wide variety of choices beyond the typical name brands. and happy hour is a good deal just get there early it fills up. comfy patio too.

lamb is my husband's favorite, i loved the halibut. we have been at least 7-8 times in 6 months and are always well satisfied. highly recommend and being locally owned and operated is a definite plus for our family.

amazing!!. ready these other reviews is quite interesting. would have to ask if people knew good food when they tasted it. seriously..ok, it is pricey i'll give ya that, but the food is out of this world! been to every steak house in az. (im a native, not one i havent tried) and i am shocked that anyone would remotely compare this gormet food to "black angus". i got the same size cut of prime rib as i do at black angus, thank god i did not go bigger i couldnt finish the small size. black angus is 90 fat and grisel..this thing was 98 percen meat! and thick! black angus is the over priced waste of money.

the atmophere isn't all that great? are you kidding? it is beautiful in there. my son was like..wow, pretty fancy, this is nice. dim lights, very very very nice atmospher! where do you people come from? snottsdale? i can't believe they even bother opening up a flemings on this side a town..talk about a joke of a restraunt that is way over priced, at least i felt like i got my monies worth at arrowhead grill.

im an old farm gal, we raised cattle. i know good beef when i have it....this is the place to get it!!!

judy. in all my life i have never had a steak so good. your chef's and staff are out of this world. your food?? omg what can i say about your food, amazing isn't even strong enough word. though the prices are not in a category we could make a habit spending, but agreatplace for a very special occasion. we came for my sons 21st birthday...thank you for making it the most memoriable dinner he has ever had! (mom scored points ..yes!)

so-so. first time on xmas eve. ordered cesar salad, maple mashed sweet potatoes, hubby ordered prime rib, green chili mac n cheese, dad ordered steak delmonico w/loaded baked potato, and mom ordered cesar salad. service was average, nothing over the top or less than expected. atmosphere was cozy and nothing elaborate. tasted the prime rib which was excellent, green chili mac n cheese the best ever. didn't like my salad, and the mashed sweet pots were verygreatbut rich. however, the prices were extremely high for the quality of the food/service. skye is a much better option in my opnion for these prices, and you may even get live entertainment! there are also not many options for those who do not like seafood (of course, there's plenty of steak options, a full rack of ribs, lamb, one chicken option). would have loved to see a pasta dish (besides the side option of green chili mac n cheese). i just feel there are many better options out there for the $$

my new favorite for work lunches and romantic dates with my rockstar wife.greatfood and nicest restaurant in the nw valley. ribs and steaks are the way to go.

best steak ever. the most tender and well prepared fillet i've ever had. maestro's has nothing on these folks.greatservice on three visits and unique side dishes you don't expect.
