food is great - service terrible!. we really, really wanted to like this place. as westsiders, our fine dining options are limited. we have been to arrowhead 3 times (thinking it had to get better!) and won't be going back. although thefoodis very good, the poorly trained staff does such a terrible job - that they ruin it. their prices are way too high for such sub-standard service. if they want to attract people who expect a different standard of service - they need to hire professionals who know what they're doing.

do not book online -- does not honor reservations made online by loyal customers

the last two times i dined here with my wife it was wonderful. we had great service and spent an average of $400 each time with tip (we tip big).

the two times that followed, never happened.

we booked online via open table and selected the standard table with a requested romantic setting.

after driving 40 minutes to eat here, we were told by a rude hostess that we had specifically requested outdoor seating. because who doesn't want to eat outside in 107 degree heat in dress clothing in phx in july?

right.

i pulled up the ot reservation on my phone and showed her and the manager that no outside request had been made and that their system was wrong. the reservation confirmed what i said and we had just driven 40 minutes to drop $400 at their place.

they basically told my wife and i tough luck and the soonest they could get us a table was 90 minutes later.

yeah. let me just pay you to wait 90 minutes after you screwed up our reserveration twice in the past two visits.

do yourself a favor, there are plenty of places that have goodfoodand service that won't screw you twice on a simple online reservation.

don't make the mistake we did and drive out there twice to be treated like a serf.

first class. great place at happy hour. the barfoodis great and the prices are reasonable. service was wonderful and the group that was with us had nothing but good things to say.

terrible, completely terrible!. we have heard so many good things about arrowhead grill but last night we went and the service was beyond terrible. our server seemed to be in another place, we waited over 45 minutes for our entrees. the guests around us ordered at least 20 minutes after us, and got theirfoodaround 10-15 minutes before us. i'm assuming the server forgot about putting ourfoodin. i really expected better from other reviews.

fantasticfoodand wine. always great service and terrific food. wine list has a wide variety of choices beyond the typical name brands. and happy hour is a good deal just get there early it fills up. comfy patio too.

lamb is my husband's favorite, i loved the halibut. we have been at least 7-8 times in 6 months and are always well satisfied. highly recommend and being locally owned and operated is a definite plus for our family.

nope. i ate here twice, maybe i just was there when they were off or the chef was't there.....but thefoodwas much less than i expected on my two times there. my asparagus was mushy and my poatoes seemed to have a fake cheese sause....my steak was very salty and not flavorful.....not sure what happened here.

we have eaten here numerous times.. my husband and i always have enjoyed our meals at arrowhead grill. we have also taken friends and family members to the grill and everyone liked thefoodand ambience.
my husband loves steak and rates the steaks here as excellent. he always starts with the oysters because they are so good. i prefer their caesar salad and crabcakes. yum yum from both of us. the service has always been top notch.
the reviewers who preferred mcdonald's [!!!!!] are to be pitied.

ok, so we went back. it's still in a strip mall, thefoodis still mediocre, the service is still cartoonishly amateur, the owner is still a jerk and yet they are still in business. those westsiders are either desperate or lacking in the smarts department (as most eastsiders suspect) bottom line - not worth your hard earned dollar.

overpriced and inexperienced. thefoodis ok, but the prices are far too high for the quality. it is in a strip mall next to a pizza joint with very minimal signage. hard to find and really not worth the effort. our server didn't seem to know what she was doing. we had ordered a bottle of wine and when someone brought it to the table, instead of opening it for us, she ordered them to take it back. the guy took the bottle back and we didn't see it again for almost 10 minutes when she finally brought it back and opened it. i can only guess that this is her first restaurant job. when thefoodfinally arrived it was just ok. they are trying to be a top shelf steakhouse but barely reach the level of black angus. they need to drop their prices and improve the service. until then, we won't be going back.

amazing!!. ready these other reviews is quite interesting. would have to ask if people knew goodfoodwhen they tasted it. seriously..ok, it is pricey i'll give ya that, but thefoodis out of this world! been to every steak house in az. (im a native, not one i havent tried) and i am shocked that anyone would remotely compare this gormetfoodto "black angus". i got the same size cut of prime rib as i do at black angus, thank god i did not go bigger i couldnt finish the small size. black angus is 90 fat and grisel..this thing was 98 percen meat! and thick! black angus is the over priced waste of money.

the atmophere isn't all that great? are you kidding? it is beautiful in there. my son was like..wow, pretty fancy, this is nice. dim lights, very very very nice atmospher! where do you people come from? snottsdale? i can't believe they even bother opening up a flemings on this side a town..talk about a joke of a restraunt that is way over priced, at least i felt like i got my monies worth at arrowhead grill.

im an old farm gal, we raised cattle. i know good beef when i have it....this is the place to get it!!!

judy. in all my life i have never had a steak so good. your chef's and staff are out of this world. your food?? omg what can i say about your food, amazing isn't even strong enough word. though the prices are not in a category we could make a habit spending, but a great place for a very special occasion. we came for my sons 21st birthday...thank you for making it the most memoriable dinner he has ever had! (mom scored points ..yes!)

overpriced for the return. arrowhead grill has serviceable fare, and their "signature" steak is very flavorful. but the cost of eating there is simply too prohibitive given what you get back on your plate. for the money, i prefer fleming's steakhouse at park west, both forfoodand ambience.

my new favorite for work lunches and romantic dates with my rockstar wife. greatfoodand nicest restaurant in the nw valley. ribs and steaks are the way to go.

yummy!. we'd go to arrowhead grill weekly if we had the chance! thefoodand service always exceed our expectations. medium rare lamb chops with rosemary goat cheese fondue? nuff said! and in line with the other reviewers, the butter cake is to die for. ag is one of the west side's best kept secrets - spread the word! it is worth the trip from anywhere in the valley and is very conveniently located right off the 101.

service andfoodwere great! enjoyed dinner with a scottsdale atmosphere but in peoria.

excellent steak. thefoodis awesome! the atmosphere and service could use a little work...

you go for the steak delmonico. or maybe you go for the lamb chops appetizer. of course, the sweet potato fries are a must. you go because thefoodis excellent. (but, really, go for the steak delmonico.) so there you go.
