butter cake!. came to arrowhead grill for mother's day 2010. it was a great experience.
it was a price fixe menu. we had 5 people in our party and our mom doesn't eat that much food, so they let us order 4 price fixe menu items and brought my mom out an extra plate to share from us. very accommodating.
good service and friendly wait staff. the owner even came over and checked on us.
the butter cake dessert was fantastic! i highly recommend it. although it does take about 20 minutes for the cake to come out. i think our server forgot to mention that.
i have been here for dinner as well. their sides and fish are excellent.
we will definitely be back. they gave our mom a 20 dollar gift card to use. wohoo! can't wait.

food is great - service terrible!. we really, really wanted to like this place. as westsiders, our fine dining options are limited. we have been to arrowhead 3 times (thinking it had to get better!) and won't be going back. although the food is very good, the poorly trained staff does such a terrible job - that they ruin it. their prices are way too high for such sub-standard service. if they want to attract people who expect a different standard of service - they need to hire professionals who know what they're doing.

the last two times i dined here with my wife it was wonderful. we had great service and spent an average of $400 each time with tip (we tip big).

the two times that followed, never happened.

we booked online via open table and selected the standard table with a requested romantic setting.

after driving 40 minutes to eat here, we were told by a rude hostess that we had specifically requested outdoor seating. because who doesn't want to eat outside in 107 degree heat in dress clothing in phx in july?

right.

i pulled up the ot reservation on my phone and showed her and the manager that no outside request had been made and that their system was wrong. the reservation confirmed what i said and we had just driven 40 minutes to drop $400 at their place.

they basically told my wife and i tough luck and the soonest they could get us a table was 90 minutes later.

yeah. let me just pay you to wait 90 minutes after you screwed up our reserveration twice in the past two visits.

do yourself a favor, there are plenty of places that have good food and service that won't screw you twice on a simple online reservation.

don't make the mistake we did and drive out there twice to be treated like a serf.

worth a visit!. we really enjoyed the quality and service at this restaurant! attentive, knowledgable wait staff and excellent steak and seafood dishes. definitely a place to go while visiting peoria/glendale.

great for happy hour. delicious and inexpensive menu options. really, really tasty food, and good service.

for dinner? no thanks. extremely expensive for the area, mediocre steaks, especially given the price, and average service. durant's downtown phoenix is equally pricey, and a long drive from here, but far better ambiance, quality, and service. i'd take the 45 min drive to durant's any day over ag.

first class. great place at happy hour. the bar food is great and the prices are reasonable. service was wonderful and the group that was with us had nothing but good things to say.

elegant and outstanding steakhouse. one of the three best steakhouses i've eaten at in at least a decade. we went here for a special meal with the extended family. they had an outstanding selection of premium spirits available at the bar, and a good wine list. service was prompt and friendly. the steaks were excellent; succulent and juicy, and (according to the menu) were chemical- and hormone free grass-fed beef. i highly recommend the delmonico steak. this is a "dress up" restaurant for adults, and probably not suitable for the type of person who thinks applebees or chipolte is a fine dining experience. the prices reflect that fact, but it's worth it for a special meal out.

fantastic happy hour!. had a great meal on the patio during happy hour. half price on many items, fantastic food, delicious burgers. wonderful atmosphere and great service. we'll be back!

great steak house. we had dinner recently at arrowhead grill -- stepped up for a birthday celebration. the atmosphere was typical steakhouse -- dim, quiet, classy. drinks, steaks, sides-- all were perfectly prepared and presented. the service was the right balance of attentive and discreet. and they comped us the house dessert, a wonderful butter cake. it's spendy but worth it on occasion.

great westside steakhouse. arrowhead grill is a high end (meaning expensive) steakhouse. we've been there twice now: once for their standard menu and had the tomahawk ribeye. the thing was so huge that two grown men could split it. and once for a specialty tequila menu. i would have preferred the tequila neat, but the drinks were well matched to the menu. half the restaurant was set aside fro the event, but they could have assigned a few more servers - drinks and courses seldom arrived at the same time. but they paired well enough that i would be interested in going to one of their wine pairing that they keep advertising.

terrible, completely terrible!. we have heard so many good things about arrowhead grill but last night we went and the service was beyond terrible. our server seemed to be in another place, we waited over 45 minutes for our entrees. the guests around us ordered at least 20 minutes after us, and got their food around 10-15 minutes before us. i'm assuming the server forgot about putting our food in. i really expected better from other reviews.

my husband and i had dinner at the arrowhead grill for our anniversary. the atmosphere of the restaurant is dimly lit and is nicely accommodated. there is a bar and the dinner seating is off of the kitchen.

we ordered seafood, an appetizer, salad and a bottle of wine. our waitress was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. the bottle of wine took a little while to get to the table, but was very yummy. dinner was excellent, although a bit pricey. the potatoes had a little too much cheese. for dessert, they brought us a special complimentary anniversary plate, with a sparkler! great place for a special occasion dinner.

great halibut & steak.. service aaa!
