it was my first time in aripa, pallimukku.have heard that we can only enter this small restaurant with nice and simple interiors after waiting for a while only and experienced it for the first. didn’t do much exploring and ordered their chicken biriyani and fresh lime.
i enjoyed the fine grained rice biriyani with good 2 pieces of chicken half fried in a tasty semi-gravy. the portion size was reasonable nothing more nothing less. it’s a niceplaceand would definitely need more outings to explore more from the menu. but i have ordered a take away of ravuthar biriyani from theplaceand i prefer the ordinary biriyani although ravuthar is a good option to be explored when in mood for variety.
overall a good experience and that explains the crowd waiting outside the restaurant at peek hours on a daily basis.

dropped by for dinner at arippa a few nights ago and for a weekday, theplacewas super packed! we had to wait a bit to score a table and unsurprisingly, the food took a while as well. but our order was served all at once so we were able to dig right in. we ordered appam, porotta, alleppey chicken curry and beef kondattam. the appams were spectacular and by far some of the best we’ve had in a while. it was soft and tasted subtly of coconut milk, and we ended up ordering a couple more! the porotta was tasty as well, served hot and crispy. the beef kondattam though, was a hard pass. the beef was a tad bit too chewy and tasted just about average. the alleppey chicken curry on the other hand, was the clear highlight of the meal! we loved the rich and creamy gravy but were left disappointed by the fact that the dish didn’t have a single decent piece of chicken. we were left chewing on bones the whole time, which is probably why the gravy got an even better chance to shine through. they could’ve just priced the dish a bit higher and added boneless chicken instead. way to ruin a near-perfect dish guys! we’re definitely going back soon and trying it out again to see whether we were just short on luck that day. overall, i’d say theplacehas a lot to offer as the menu is quite interesting. the interiors are fun and colourful with portraits of iconic movie references with comfy seating and a decent crowd. definitely worth a visit!

theplaceis quite small so it takes around 10-15 mins to get a table. but trust me the food was worth it. and it's value for money. the prawn deep fry and neimeen roast (king fish) where top notch. the chai was simply soothing. the kadalai curry n appam was unbeatable. do visit for some authentic kerala food.

this was the first time, i ordered from this restaurant and the order was accidentally placed by me. i had already eaten before ordering prawns biryani from the restaurant. i was wondering what to do when the order gets delivered. so i decided that i would taste a little and then keep the rest in the fridge. however, all plans failed the moment i had my first bite of the biryani. the prawns biryani from here was simply amazing. the flavors was irresistible, i ended up finishing the entire biryani in one sitting. this in itself is an accomplishment because the quantity of the biryani was good too. the most peculiar thing about the biryani was the perfect balance of the masala and the ghee rice. i have been wanting to eat a good biryani with fresh prawns for a long time, and thisplacefulfilled my desire. i am now tempted to try other items from this place. will surely do that. the packaging was good too, as the biryani came in a good quality plastic container.

niceplacewith great food at an unbeatable price point. meal for 2 of us and the little one cost me around 350 and we were stuffed. taste was a bit of a hit and miss. we really liked the parotta s and roast chicken. the beef coconut fry was only average. thisplaceis very crowded and if you are going for lunch, i suggest getting there well before 1. if i have to find a fault with thisplacei’d say they do have some flys around.

my journey to kochi started off with being late for my train 😂 didn't have a chance to catch a good breakfast or lunch either.

i was famished by the time i reached kochi so a quick search on google maps and i found this lovelyplace@arippa_restaurant

what makes thisplacestand apart from other eateries is that they have an open kitchen.

i tried prawns pepper fry for rs 180 and beef pepper fry with porota (see i typed it correctly this time 😂) for rs 140 + rs 15

well to start off with the quantity was unbelievable especially the prawns. packed with immense flavours both prawns and beef pepper fry went really well with their soft and light porotas.

both of them are a definite must try plus the pricing is so reasonable for the quantity of food that they serve. this is one restaurant you must visit when your in kochi 🐼

place: ⭐⭐⭐
service: ⭐⭐⭐
food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
value: ⭐⭐⭐

had beef mulakittathu &  parotta. sadly, the beef pieces weren’t cooked well, was kind of stiff. but, more disappointing part was - the dish contained  lots of ‘chow’ (intramuscular fat) pieces, to be very frank it was ‘almost full’ of it! i just cannot imagine how a reputed concern could do something like this.
i won’t say that my experience with thisplacewas all bad because, just a day back i had biriyani (chicken) from here, and it was too good. because of that positive experience i thought to try something else from thisplaceand unfortunately it turned to be a disaster.
i would like to mention that my purpose of this review is not to slam the restaurant, but to inform the restaurant mngmnt, so that they take heed and avoid such incidents from happening  in the future. i truly feel that theplaceis good ( except for this one off incident i assume) and has lots of scope. i will have food from here again soon and i truly hope  my next experience would be a good one.

a small but beautifulplacebustling with people from all walks of life. if you're lucky you might get parking. and you might even have to wait a bit to get seats. but definitely worth it!

ordered ravuthar biriyani.. i loved this! rice well cooked in spicy masala and soft chicken.
the mutton biriyani was good and so was chicken biriyani which had pieces that were fried first, but managed to maintain the softness of the chicken.
next up, we ordered karimeen pollichathu.. this was steaming hot and the masala was spicy and delicious.
ended with a couple of lime and sodas.

a wholesome familyplacethat serves good food.

update: tried the fish curry meals. not worth the price. the coconut fish curry was good tho.
