excellent italian time & time again.... this italian restaurant over in ridgeland is like an old sweater. its worn in and gives you that nice warm feeling all over. i have been here numerous times, by myself and with friends and family, and can tell you with certainty that this is how italian is supposed to be. the dishes are traditional and inviting, with a little modern edge thrown in to keep it interesting. my absolute favorite is the prince edward island mussels, but everything on the appetizer menu is a true delight. a part of the menu that can keep most patrons coming back time and again are the salads. imagine, arugula with flame grilled apples! and then - my fave - veal saltimbocca! omg!! can it get any better? well, in fact - yes. it can. the tiramisu. chuck - my apologies - but i have only had tiramisu better than this once - in new york. its smooth, rich, creamy, and high on flavor. just the best around. and the wine list is one of the strongest and most interesting in jackson. the atmosphere is authentic italian-american warm and friendly, and the service is very good, although a little frantic on busy nights. okay - i'll just tell you - every night is busy. so it is a good idea to make reservations or you will have quite a wait. (which i have never had trouble doing, btw.) and thats because thisplaceis consistently amazing time & time again.
