great food, bring your smallest car. here's my only negative to the place - the parking lot is awful. if you have a tahoe and a corolla, bring the corolla. i have 2 suvs and i hate parking either one there.

after you get in, you don't care. the place is a little busy, but as long as you don't the table directly outside of the kitchen entrance (yes, i got it once) you are in for a great dining experience.

our service has been great for the 10 years that we've been going there. the food is excellent. the pork chops are phenomenal. i don't think i've ever had amealthere that i didn't like.

the chicken parmigiana is better at roma's, but for everything else amerigo sets the standard for italian in the jackson area.

i don’t understand how this place has under 5 stars! we’ve been coming here for years and have had a goodmealevery time. our favorites are the wild mushroom ravioli and tiramisu. the service is always great and we never leave disappointed. the food is well priced and delicious. keep it up amerigo!

we went on a thursday night. i know they just opened, but the service was terrible. our server took forever to greet us. our food came out after the 5 tables around us that were seated and ordered much later than us. the server said there was a compute glitch. that didn't seem like a valid excuse being that the kitchen received the orders around us. she treated us to dessert at the end of ourmealsince we waited so long. she didn't ask us. we were just ready to leave since we'd been there for an hour and a half. the dessert was charged as part of our meal. it was corrected. the food was good. i'm hoping that our server had an off night and this isn't a reflection of how they train their servers.

being open for nearly two weeks as the "new kid" on the block, i went for lunch hoping for a smooth uneventfulmealand amerigo's was successful on their delivery of such. already crowded by 11:30, i was told a 20-30min wait, but was seated within 10. themeal(fettuccine imperial & chicken marsala) was hot, fresh and delicious plus the voluntary bread and beverage refills were truly appreciated. everything went smooth from beginning to end. our waitress initially seemed a little overwhelmed but recovered well. greatmeal& great service. much success to this location. fyi...beware of parking limitations!

the black and white tile floor in the dining area is very slippery. i fell this evening and got grease all over my pants. need to pay closer attention to detail.

why did the 3 of the waitstaff try to hang a 4 ft by 5 ft picture in the dining room at 7pm during the middle of a service ? they pulled tables out and stood in the chairs with customers all around. very unprofessional !!!! standards used to be very high, now they are lacking. if this is happening in front of customers, what is going on in the kitchen ???

huge disappointment. my dad wanted to take me out for a specialmealto celebrate receiving my master's degree. we thought amerigo's would be perfect. impeccable service. when my dad tipped his wine glass over, it broke on his water glass. a mess that was cleaned up in minutes with little drama by a professional staff as we slipped into a nearby table. my hats off to the staff for attending to us so quickly!

but don't be fooled, the food was average at best. my crab cakes were bready and gummy, probably frozen then fried, but definitely underdone and with little crab meat. my portabella salad looked thrown together. terrible presentation with blobs of goat cheese and mushrooms hidden under a mound of greens that were warm and limp, as if they'd been sitting out in the kitchen too long.

my dad's fish looked nice as it was presented on a cedar plank, but the fish was dry with no cedar smoke imparted in it. our dessert, tiramisu, was a splurge for us, and again a disappointment. these weren't lady fingers, this was white cake that had not been soaked with coffee, just plain white cake. doubtful marscapone was used, but more a straight-up cream cheese frosting. i worked as a pastry chef at bravo restaurant in jackson and have made tiramisu a hundred times -- i know how it's made and this was not tiramisu!

i remember amerigo's when it first opened and i remember the food being much much better. i'm afraid amerigo's hasn't kept up its standards.

we put down $80 bucks for a dinner that was merely average. however we tipped out excellent waiter well, as he deserved it.

solid. not authentic, but did you expect that? service can be a little iffy sometimes. the fried artichoke hearts are not on the menu, but are available as an appetizer and very worth it. my favorite is the straw and hay, which is always request-able, and not always on the menu. i believe they may be under new management at the time of writing this. new menus, saw a new face wandering around and discussing themealwith the diners. can sometimes get very busy, and have had bad service a time or two, but no restaurant is on the ball all the time.
