great russian cuisine. i love this place for its warm atmosphere, greatfood, and fairly priced shopping. i found a wide variety of impressive eastern european relics, such as icons, medals, army and navy uniforms, patriotic pins, and a bunch of other things, many of them decades old, yet in excellent condition. there are shelves of books by russian authors as well as current magazines. taste of europe also offers delicious food in the grocery and restaurant parts, all russian cuisine. the perogi, dumplings with potato filling, are to die for! i've been getting them every time i go there ever since i tried them. so good! even the service is great! the owner, mikhail, is always interesting and fun to talk with. the restaurant/shop is one of my favorite spots in arlington.
