1410 bier haus

as good as the last ones. i devoured them like a crazy person, leaving only a pile of bones (all sucked dry) in front of me.

its okay. been a couple times, has really good food service is aveg but saturday nights they have a good dj but other than that nothing special!

consistently amazing. the food here is always great and the service is wonderful as well. although i have noticed a serious decline in the portion size over the past few months. i really recommend taking 1410 for a hangover breakfast spin. it is one of my absolute favs.

terrible service and overpriced. if you want to pay $7.50 for a beer and get terrible service this is the place for you. this place is extremely over priced with rude waitresses that cater to the 18 year old crowd. if you actually get to order your food and receive it before the night is over you will be dissapointed.

i go for the music. i only go on fridays because of the dj. even then, it's too crowded.

terrible terrible service! it's pathetic when you have to track your server to get their attention, this has happened numerous times. and the waitress' should not hit on the man at the table when a couple is on a date and forget to bring the woman's entree... i'm black listing this place in my books...

the food needs a kick in the butt. i really like 1410. if i'm looking for a beer, it's the place to go. their selection is great, the staff is great and i really like the place. but the food is just not good. i tried something different today (montreal smoked meat). it came with a vegetable soup that was basically mushy veggies and salty broth. couldn't finish it. and the worst part of that is that i wound up leaving the sandwich for a bit while i tried the soup. by the time i got around to the sandwich, i was wondering if i was supposed to use a fork or a spoon. i mean, i understand that montreal smoked meat isn't the leanest of sandwiches, but this thing was leaking grease everywhere. the bread was soggy, the plate was covered and after the first bite i was looking for extra napkins to soak it all up. i'm really not a complainer, but i had to tell aislynn about it and she did a good job of making some adjustments to my bill to make up for it.

so that's it. until 1410 gets their menu figured out, i'm not eating food at 1410 anymore. take a trip to the district, 1410 - get your food together and i'll be back.

beer selection great. i love going to 1410 for beer. there's always something new and the stiegl radler is unusual and really good. had a cobblestone stout tonight which is thick and a more flavourful alternative to guinness. but, to be honest, i don't think i'll be back for lunch until they kick the menu up a notch. the food really needs a kick in the butt.

service is always good though and for beers on a friday, 1410 cannot be beat.

great for wing night. i often visit 1410 on a monday night for $4 coronas and cheap wings- hot wings hit the spot andranch dip is good. had a bad experience here at brunch once so would never go back for that, but for a local wing night it hits the spot.

in general. this place is not female-friendly

fun late night spot. tasty eats, like the wings and seafood dishes, but next time i wouldn't bother with the dips. i heard the mussels are pretty tasty, so i'm eager to try those out. i also heard they have mussels on special on saturday, and ribs on special on sunday. good to know.
i like the fact they serve mill st. beer, including the ice lemon tea version.

awsome beer selection and great food!

great beer selection.... ...with a rather poor food selection. i had the seafood tower appetizer where the shrimp were huge, but also very uncooked. the rest of the meal was just fairly bland. we've eaten a couple of times and the pizza is ok, but nothing to rave about.

but the beer selection is just awesome. i've been back for the great beer a few times.

noisy friday night. we went here for my husband's birthday party on a friday night with friends. i liked that they gave us a good size table with our reservation and i like that you can do a reservation online on their website. they turn into a nightclub after about 9pm which isn't great if you want to have a conversation with friends. i didn't like that. the food was great and our server was excellent. we will definitely come back for the beer selection.

good to know in advance.... food was great and they had no problem with my requests to make my meal vegetarian (poor veg selection on the menu otherwise). however, the :-( came when we got our bill because we did not know that interac was not accepted (not posted on the door either) so we had to incur the outragous cost of using their onsite bank machine. we will go again but time make sure we have cash or credit card with us.

hits the spot.. this has become my neighbourhood pub. although neither this location or 1600 quite hit the ambiance i like (too bright, clean and rowdy - i'm more of a pub purist) the food menu is pretty well balanced, not too long, and can please any palate, from mac & cheese to mussels. this place has the best beer menu in the city, and that is something you can never take away from them. they even feature imports as specials, which i really admire! consistent service and pretty good food (the turkey brie wrap w spinach salad is by far my favourite), this gets a pass in my books! an entirely different story at night... busier, louder, rowdier.. be warned!
