management 101. over the past 3 years me and my girlfriend have enjoyed the friendly service and great location of this place. both of us have worked in the industry and truly believe that 1410 has some of the best tasting food and a tremendous amount ofbeerofferings. today we enjoyed lunch by the windows right in front of the bar. the food was great, the service was as expected but today i saw something that i found very unprofessional. a manager i believed to be named "cory" at approximately 1 o'clock sits down at the bar to enjoy a fresh meal in front of the customer he just helped serve. to me this in not the appropriate place or time to be chomping down your lunch. this isn't what really bothered me, what did was when the kitchen finished a bill instead of him getting up to help or simply continue enjoying his lunch break; he abruptly called for servers to run food and then continued eating. i mean that's really leading by example and setting the expectation for the staff... the spark is really fading here and i don't know if we will be back.

1410 world bier haus, not only is the ownership and staff amazing, so is the atmosphere. this is one of the spots where you can walk into in calgary knowing no one and you will feel like you have a million friends!! the atmosphere and hospitality is top notch but isn’t the only thing to brag about; they have delicious nachos and other great menu items.beerdrinker? you are in luck they have a world wide variety of imports, sure to satisfy even the nonbeerdrinkers palate! stay tuned for the opening of their 2012 roof top patio.

the original 17th avebeerpub. i've been going to 1410 since they took over the homestead years ago (rip homestead... passed out drunks, vlt's, and after hours alcohol). they have some of the best service (including the managers) i have had anywhere. however, after numerous visits i still find shaking the waitresses hand awkward and forced. like other similar pubs, the menu has it's ups and downs. the bartender wings are amazing. fried, then sauced, then grilled. three steps, not just two lazy arsed steps. the local farm to fork ingredients and steaks are also a hi-light.

the staff, although busy are always ready to inform, ask a question you might learn something. as for the food i found it to actually be really good. after reading reviews saying otherwise i found the range of food to be impressive. from the gourmet burger bar serving up the beef and bison pattied 1410 burger or the succulent montreal blue burger perfectly grilled beef patty finished with mushrooms and blue cheese - completely decedent, and for only $11.00 bucks on fridays you can't go wrong!

interested in something from the sea, they carry awesome "frshly shucked oysters" $15/dozen on thursdays. or try the moules served with 4 different sauces and only $6 for one pound or $10 for 2 pounds on saturdays. they are flown in from new brunswick and they're perfectly washed down with $6 hoegaarden your beginning your weekend right.

they have live dj's and awesome ladies night, you really can have a good time, eat some good food and take a trip around the world inbeertastings. so get on down to 1410 bier haus located on 17ave of course!

decent sports bar. tonnes of tv's, goodbeerselection, and good food. i love the fajitas! the location is great and they're always airing the game. call ahead for reservations when it's a big game; ask for a view.

arrived thursday night to meet some friends for buck a shuck night.  for abeerhouse, they didn’t have an extensive menu in comparison to the craft restaurants that are available and i would describe 1410 more like your neighborhood pub.

while our waitress was friendly, she didn’t provide the best service.  the chef/cook came out of the kitchen to serve us our oysters and the manager was taking our orders throughout the night because we didn’t know where our server was. 

there were only two kinds of oysters – west or east coast but for $1/oyster, you really can’t complain.  thursdays is also $13 burger nights and we tried the world class and the spolumbo’s italian pork burgers. the world class burger was a bit dry whereas the pork burger was slightly spicy but delicious.  i would not say these burgers were worth their regular price of  $19 and $17 though.  

recently i celebrated my birthday with a weekend food extravaganza. saturday lunch i took my wife on a food tour i set for us along 17th ave. i looked up a few places to try and 1410 bier haus was one of them. i love the big windows opening out onto the street as it opens the place up and lets loads of light in.   the point of all the stops i chose for the mini tour was to try places we might want to go back to eat at a later date.  with this in mind we ordered a couple of craft beers and an appetizer. service was great and with a smile, our drinks and calamari came out quite fast. now i love my calamari and it quite often gets overcooked. this one was perfect, so tender. loved it.the beers were great, they have a huge selection if you're abeerlover.  excellent experience would like to go back and try more. thanks 1410 bier haus.

hey guys, guys i pretty much just got here and was approached by "some guy" really weird hey? anyways he seated us at a table so i'm guessing he works here but not 100% on that. hey lots ofbeerserved in cups made out of glass, that's sweet. also the menu has as many chooses but no self serve fountain pop. not a big deal, the manager is probly cheap. when to the washrooms sweet to see the dividers up between futuristic urinals. took pic, guy got mad, must have thought i was a detective or something. lots of girls walking around dressed the same and one keeps talking to me so that's totally awesome. i'm the only one wearing a red shirt so that's original. wings are wicked sweet too. guys come try this especially if you a girl.

great food, service & atmosphere. probably the best food in all of calgary! i've never really seen a bar make all their food from scratch. everything is incredible on their menu, it blows me away every time i visit cow town! theirbeerselection is the best i've seen at any bar in all of canada. i hate going to bars where the best beers you can get on tap is crap like coors light or budweiser. 1410 has some incredible beers on tap from all over the world! plus they have trappist and abbey beers which is what realbeerconnoisseurs drink. if you want to try a realbeerorder a chimay red or blue, you'll be amazed! unless you're a bud light champion drinker, then you don't really know whatbeeris and probably wouldn't like chimay.
staff is extremely friendly, service is even better. plus the best part is the fact that they have a roof top patio! i spoke to the bartender working up there and he loves his job! (can you blame him what's better than being a bartender working outdoors and working with some extremely beautiful women!!) he is a greek guy named kosta, really good bartender and fun to talk to, he made my day just having a conversation with him! he convinced me to order a slush infused beer, which i had my doubts, but wow was it good!! plus apparently their slush is made with vodka! what's better than that?? i wanted to order a small appetizer, and i guess him being greek convinced me to get calamari. i've tried calamari twice before (not at 1410) and hated it. but he explained to me that their breading is what makes their calamari superb plus it's cooked to perfection here, as well as the tzatziki being a homemade recipe from the owners greek mother. wow was he right! that calamari and tzatziki was so good that whenever i return to calgary that's the first thing on my mind!

favorite spot on 17 ave. if you've never been to 1410 what are you doing with your life? the atmosphere is great any time through out the week. i've been here for lunch mid week and i've been here lifestyling on a saturday evening. the staff is always friendly and goes out of there way to make their customers feel welcome. the food is phenom and if you cant find a tastybeerhere you must be doing something wrong with your life. i will always be a local supporter of the 1410 crew!!

2 beef burger (taste so sour) and 2 draftbeerfor 60 dollar, we got 2 nasty salty mushroom soup with the burger.never come back again

great service and selection o' beer. one of the best places to drinkbeerin the city of calgary. a great selection of specialty and international beer. a bit pricey, but where else can you find a trappist beer. the friendly and smokin' hot waitresses were also a plus! i did not try the food, but the dude shucking oysters was a nice classy touch.
