home cooking. i go to thezonafresca on university near 595 every couple of weeks. it's totally the best native mexican food i have had outside of mexico. clean, fresh, simple and honest food. get the chiles relleno. they're fire blackened crispy fresh peppers filled with creamy fresh cheese.

service is amazingly fast and friendly.

good grub. i go to the lauderdale location and the plantation location and i love both i always get the steak burrito and it always please's. i love the salsa bar the hot salsa is my favorite its not to hot easy to eat. the diced tomatoes, and onion is very tasty. you can't go wrong with this place. bang for the buck. thankszonafresca for being in business.

best in class. my family and i have been going to the ft. lauderdale location ofzonafresca for years, and we love it. in addition to moderate prices and a clean, pleasant atmosphere, with friendly employees,zonaoffers consistently high quality food that's always freshly prepared. they offer burritos, tostadas, quesadillas, etc., as well as cold beer. their ceviche is excellent also - though it isn't always on the menu.
a competitor ( lime ) recently opened just down the street, so out of curiosity we tried it ... once. we've tried baja fresh and whole enchilada ... there is just no comparison. we're back for good. it'szonafresca for freshly prepared high quality food at reasonable prices. try it. you will not be disappointed.

the answer is yes. i was wondering how my favorite mexican fast food restaurant would do when a mexican chain restaurant opened up across the street. well i tried that place and this place is a winner.zonafresca is a great stand by. a great go to you. so if you want good fast food then go go go tozonafresca.

lovezonafresca. much better value than chain versions ( i.e. chipotle).

there is more than one. thezonafresca in plantation (university and peters road) is excellent. maybe their food is better at that site than on the east sied.

a split review.... fat food lover has been tozonafresca hundred times in the past five years and i'm still split on the food. perhaps you would say i like it simply by default because i continue to go. the place is always busy, and parking is a (five letter expletive insert here). the tacos are simple mexican tacos, meat, chicken or fish. ( i would not recommend the fish, i have had a number of dates become ill later). sometimes the meat or chicken is very dry, which is understandable, since you can see it sitting out right at the counter as you order. the chips are perfect texture, and good with the fresh salsa. my favorite thing on the menu is "the siesta maker" which is very filling for a fat man like me. the quesadilla's are ok, but if you want better ones (without processed cheese) try "guacamoles on the beach". overall i give this place a 6 out of 10…decent, cheap and quick, but depends on the time of day. if you get it early the food is fresh, late in the day it can be like day old macdonalds.

excellent!!. i have been going tozonafor years!! by far, the freshest and tastiest fresh mexican food in fort lauderdale!! not to mention...very inexpensive!!
