tasty dumplings!. another wonderful visit to zen forrest. it is simply the best food i have had in the new port richey area. as always, service was top notch, the food was tasty and portions large (i had to take some home). to review, for an appetizer, i had gradma's potstickers, pan seared. the dumplings themselves were very flavorful and the dipping sauce sublime. the shells were cooked just right and not overdone. this was followed by pork lo mein. i have had a very hard time finding good pork lo mein anywhere and i have been to a lot of sit down places. as usual, it was excellent and this is the onlyplacei would recommend to have it. the sauce was so yummy--the pork was cooked to perfection and i love fresh bean sprouts--who doesn't? as always, i have a pot of the lychee tea. anyone who has had loose tea cannot abide a tea bag, and i love that this restaurant uses fresh, loose tea. finally, for desert--pistachio cheesecake. it was light and had an interesting flavor (in a good way). it wasn't too heavy the way cheesecakes can sometimes be, and was sufficiently creamy.
i have never had a bad experience here and having been to the finest restaurants in the northeast (new york city and philadelphia), i have to say, this is the closest i can find to compare.
