great!. excellent food and priced very well.

amazing and innovative. zen forrest is by far our favorite fine dining restaurant in the area. the chef is so creative and innovative, and the ingredients used are top quality. every meal we have ever had at zen forrest has been excellent--from the most tender and flavorful filet dishes and fresh seafood to sumptuous desserts like asparagus and pistachio gelato. appetizer choices like tuna and avocado tartare, pot stickers, escargot and mussels never disappoint. the sauces are always interesting and flavorful. for innovative cuisine, consistently fresh quality food, great service and good value, there is no better choice. reservations are pretty much needed on the weekends, which speaks volumes in this economy.

spouse and i enjoyed a superbly scrumptious 7-course winter tasting menu. the food and service here are first rate; this was one of the top ten meals we've eaten in our (~60yr) lifetimes! each course was meticulously prepared; everything tasted 'made-to-order'---the tender-crisp vegetables and salads were all very fresh and the meats and seafood were cooked to perfection and exquisitely seasoned, which kept the experience fascinating. portions were ample but never overwhelming, permitting all 7 courses to be savored. our server, katerina, was very friendly, attentive, and efficient. the courses were well paced (~2 hrs.) and we never felt hurried nor neglected. the tasting menu changes seasonally, but we are happily willing to eat whatever this gifted chef is serving! awe-freakin-some. our family comes here as out "go-to" asian cuisine restaurant! the food is absolutely amazing (really best chinese food i've ever had.. think pf changs x 10 because it's not a chain restaurant..) the chefs interpretation of common asian cuisine (general tso, thai curry chicken, sesame chicken etc) is second to none! staff is great, and what's best about the place is that it's hidden in a crummy plaza... think of it like your whole in the wall bar that serves the best craft beer ever... yes the decor is not the best, the plaza isn't the newest, but the food is outstanding! chef victor is a stud!

went to zen forest to get their pho which was rated very high. they quit serving it as of 12/22/14 therefore we were quite disappointed. we decided to stay and eat and we're glad we did. the food was beautifully presented and very pleasant to the palate. will certainly go back to try something else from their nice menu selection.

amazing food!. i have been to zen forrest numerous times. the food is amazing and the atmosphere is fantastic. the servers are very knowledge of the cuisine and very attentive. i have dietary regulations (diabetic and especially when i was pregnant) and they are always willing to assist me with my substitutions or to offer recommendations. their monday pho is to die for!!! call ahead to make sure you can get it...sells out fast. their zen forrest & cuban rolls are my favorites. definitely a gem in trinity!!!

service?. while celebrating a friends birthday, we neglected to ask if it was permissible to bring in a cake. we were informed upon arrival that there would be a $10 (!!) service fee. service was ok, keeping our beverages filled while waiting on our party. after the last guest arrived and beverage served, we didn't see the waiter for over 20 min. and had to go fetch him ourselves. the establishment isn't that big. the food was good, nothing to complain about. now, back to the cake. no dessert plates and forks were forthcoming, neither was there on offer, or even a cake server. not one offer of serving our dessert to us, and yet our bill had a $10 fee for "cake service" we didn't get cake service! but we paid the bill. can't say i'll visit this establishment again. in an area where there are many restaurants to choose from, you need to set yourself apart and keep a good reputation- this is not the way to do that.

zen forrest is a...get this..."zen-like" little eatery tucked away in a pasco county strip mall.  the walls are painted a soothing sage green, decor is minimalistic and tables are nicely spaced.  there are no dragons, gilt, kimonos or other traditionally asian restaurant decor and no piped-in music.  wall art is subdued and tasteful.  even when full of patrons, the vibe is soothing, conversing is easy and there's an air of intimacy.  not your stereotypical chinese restaurant, the menu is more "asian influenced" and also nods to the cuisine of japan, thailand, taiwan and vietnam. we received knowledgeable and courteous service from kassie, who was was pleasingly low-key and paced our meal nicely (our party of four spent a leisurely hour and forty-five minutes visiting and noshing without ever feeling either neglected or rushed). the crab rangoon was a real crowd-pleaser and definitely a cut above average.  for starters, it actually tasted like crab (not "krab") and had a garlicky kick t

perfect night. my husband and i visit zen forest when a special occasion comes up, knowing the small restaurant with big taste will make the night perfect. we recommend this restaurant to everyone and we always buy gift certificates for the ones we love most!

best asian fusion. i have been eating regularly at zen forrest for almost 10 years now. it truly deserves a 100%. i have never been disappointed here.

the staff is so amazing, service is top notch every time. the atmosphere is so relaxing, laid back, with décor that say simply sophisticated.

everything is fresh fresh fresh. whether you order an old favorite like sesame or orange chicken, to the fried rice, steak, salads or fish. everything is full of flavor. flavors from all over asia, you can see where your favorite dish is authentically from. the knowledge of flavors and spices here always throw even me for a loop. with new specials and rotating seasons on the food, beers, wines and deserts you can truly have a new amazing experience each time you go.

zen forrest has a clear concept of healthy foods with oodles of flavor. re-training dead palates of america, this entire restaurant clearly has a passion for food. until next time, live:love:eat

i beg the runners of zen forrest to make a place for the pork belly and kalbi somewhere on the normal menu. i think you have the food equivalent to blue sky meth in your kitchen. my head is starting to twitch and my skin is already beginning to itch. i’m going to need another fix before too long.

great food and atmosphere. my friend and i had dinner here last night and really enjoyed it. they have a great beer selection and yummy appetizers (favorite beer was anderson valley summer solstice) they also have several local beers which was a welcome surprise! for my main course i had the shrimp and garlic thai basil dish and the contrast of soft and crunchy veggies it was cooked with was excellent! the shrimp was perfectly cooked and the chef was very nice. i wasn't sure i tasted the thai basil so he sent out some fresh leaves for me to taste and smell....ah i found it after that. i am sure to return with my husband for date night!

more package then food. not impressed! the soup was so hot the it melted the bag and spilled on my husband and actually burned him. we spent $35 and are still hungry. i will never go to this restaurant again.

wonderful!!. our favorite new find! the food is super fresh and over the top delicious. we had the chicken & rice soup ... not your usual .... it was made to order with very complex flavors. my husband had the shrimp & lobster, also not your usual ... this one was fresh and also loaded with multi-levels of flavor. i had the minced chicken wontons w/mushroom sauce ... to die for!! cannot describe how delicious it was. wonderful. go. go now.
