the best!. one of my all time favorite restaurant! the food is authentic and prepared to order. always have a wonderful dinner at zen forrest.

not only is this the best restaurant in new port richey, it rivals some of the best restaurants in tampa and st pete, as well. it is obvious by the flavors and presentation of the dishes, that the chef is passionate about food. complex flavors abound, and i've tried nearly everything on the menu, and several dishes off menu as well. my absolute favorites are the lamb, which can only be had on special. tender shank, amazing aromatics, kind of an asian / indian fusion. just go. try anything. i believe a pleasant surprise is in your future. and very affordable!

people ask about "specials" prices because you might ending up paying 3-6 folds the comparative price. imagine a lamb shank without rice for $23.

bad and good. first of all the service left much to be desired the soup was excellent and there is where it stopped
the food was bland and over priced for what you get
the gal who severed us told me the noodles had the taste from the fish sauce they use but to me it tasted like the crispy noodles were old and stale.
now i dont mind spending money for good food but this was a complete joke.
once again it shows me the folks of new port richey have no taste when it comes to good places to eat .

hidden treasure. i live about one hour from zen forrest and i have to say every time i have gone it has been worth the drive. the staff there is always so friendly and accommodating. the service is friendly and efficient. also, the chef and owner are very hands on, always kind and willing to talk with you when their schedule allows.
the food is amazing. chef victor has such a range of cooking skills. they have special monthly dinners where chef dazzles us with everything from french cuisine to traditional northern china cuisine. they also have a great beer and wine list and the staff is well trained and able to offer suggestions when it comes to pairings.
i really can't say enough good things about zen. if you are in the area you must go. if you are not in the area you still must go! it will be worth the trip.

wow!. tucked into in otherwise "cheesy" looking strip mall, this place is a gem!

had the spicy tuna and avocado tartar to start, and the minced chicken and leek wontons for the main. the tartar was out of this world. perfectly balanced and melts in your mouth. the minced chicken didn't dissapoint either and i'll definitely be back. the only unfortunate thing about ths place is how far away i live (pennsylvania), limiting my visits to the few times a year i get down here.

consistently delicious. i've been dining on victor's artistry for more than 5 years and i happily make a 30 minute drive from my house every time. perfectly cooked szechuan peppercorn steak, fresh fish with green curry sauce and green goddess rice...not to mention the house salad dressing that i want to lick off of the plate. i take friends and family and they are always amazed at the flavor!

over priced!. i believe this is where the "yuppies" of npr go! seriously, the menu is nothing exciting and extremely over priced!!

tasty dumplings!. another wonderful visit to zen forrest. it is simply the best food i have had in the new port richey area. as always, service was top notch, the food was tasty and portions large (i had to take some home). to review, for an appetizer, i had gradma's potstickers, pan seared. the dumplings themselves were very flavorful and the dipping sauce sublime. the shells were cooked just right and not overdone. this was followed by pork lo mein. i have had a very hard time finding good pork lo mein anywhere and i have been to a lot of sit down places. as usual, it was excellent and this is the only place i would recommend to have it. the sauce was so yummy--the pork was cooked to perfection and i love fresh bean sprouts--who doesn't? as always, i have a pot of the lychee tea. anyone who has had loose tea cannot abide a tea bag, and i love that this restaurant uses fresh, loose tea. finally, for desert--pistachio cheesecake. it was light and had an interesting flavor (in a good way). it wasn't too heavy the way cheesecakes can sometimes be, and was sufficiently creamy.

i have never had a bad experience here and having been to the finest restaurants in the northeast (new york city and philadelphia), i have to say, this is the closest i can find to compare.

food that pleases all the senses. after a couple of visits i felt it necessary to review. the location in a strip center may not lead you to believe the quality inside. food presentation, taste and smell will bring you back. nice place, nice people

loved it! wow great food and atmosphere. my husband and i enjoyed dumplings, bulgogi and singapore noodles. delicios! the tea and dessert were also lovely.

what an amazing dressing zen forrest creates to top off their house salad. delightful!! great egg rolls, too!
