where's the meat?. we have ordered from this place a few times and noticed the last couple of times that a lot of the meat was missing from the breast pieces. a friend of mine noticed it first when she ate one - the meat was completely cut off and it was just breading on the bones. i thought at first this was a mistake. however, tonight we ordered what was supposed to be two full chickens and it did not appear to be. again the breast pieces had meat cut off them! they also offer boneless pieces on their menu so is this where the meat went? i am very dissapointed that we did not get "full" pieces as i love the taste of the chicken here -the skin is very crispy, without tasting greasy. the chicken is very flavourful. the fries are the crinkle cut fries sprinkled with some seasoning salt and were good.

yum yum bbq specializes in crispy, double-battered fried chicken, ranging from spicy to sweet. when my server says my “half” meal ($10) of hot fried chicken will take 15 minutes, i know they’re cooking to order. it actually arrives in 10 minutes—a massive serving of six assorted pieces. under the thick, crispy skin, the chicken is delicious: smouldering hot, moist, sneaky spicy and a wee bit greasy; hey, it’s fried chicken. of course, the spices are a secret blend, though one of them is ginger.

very good fried chicken! not overly greasy. sweet but spicy at the same time. very affordable. i wish they had more side options other than fries.

my favourite is the spicy fried chicken and the shrimp burger, it is to die for. will be back.

yum yum chicken lives up to its name, i am addicted to their chicken. i've heard from a few family members that the chicken there is amazing, the skin beats kfc skin ( say whaaa? i find that hard to believe, nothing beats kfc skin ) and with the raving reviews on urbanspoon my next trip to calgary, i decided i had to stop by in airdrie to try out this yum yum chicken. i went in around 6pm on wednesday night and only a couple guys were sitting down waiting for their food. the cashier worker guy was pretty helpful and very patient with us trying to decide on which chicken we wanted to try. we tried the spicy fried chicken, shallot chicken and yum yum chicken. my favorite was the shallot chicken , it has a little spice to it as well. on all the chicken, the skin was crispy, crunchy, delicious.  the yum yum chicken is lathered in their kind of sweet and sour sauce and then deep fried again. spicy fried chicken was spicy but not overly where i want to drown myself in milk. i had extra of t

idk if olive chicken and yum yums are owned by the same people, but olive chicken... way better! yum yums was recommended to me and it was alright. i think they forgot to season it.

yum yum is right!. we have ordered delivery from yum yum twice in the last two months and have been very happy with the results - hot, quick, decently priced, yummy chicken! both times we have ordered 1/2 hot and 1/2 friend - both times they have been excellent and crispy... i think i have convinced my hubby to turn to yum yum rather than kfc for his fried chicken cravings. good job :)

from what i understand, korean-style fried chicken is double-battered, just the way i like it.  i wouldn’t call myself a fried chicken aficionado, but i certainly enjoy it, and would gladly throw out any diet or healthy eating plan out the window just to get my hands on the really, really good stuff.  it’s another one of those indulgences that are worth every single mouthwatering calorie.  sometimes you just gotta throw all caution to the wind and go for it, which is what we decided to do one saturday afternoon. yum yum chicken & bbq korean cuisine is located in a strip mall up in airdrie, a city about 40km north of where i live, so it’s a bit of a distance to travel to get food.  i heard about this place from my colleague who used to frequent this joint back when she lived in airdrie.  she raved about it and i trust her

i love how every piece was perfectly seasoned. the flavors penetrated deeply through the skin and into the meat. this was so good.

the hot fried (half chicken $9.50) was outstanding and out-of-this-world crispy.  it actually had a nice kick to it.  this was definitely my favorite and i just could not stop eating it!

get the yum yum chicken!!. ok yes.....this is real fried chicken people. no lie.

yum yum... more like yuk yuk. we ordered this based on its rave reviews and we're not impressed at all. we ended up throwing most of it away because how bad it tasted. lacked flavour and have had better from the freezer section at safeway.

incredible !!!!!!. the best fried chicken i have ever had, great service and very fresh ! make sure to try each flavor especially the yum yum chicken absolutely amazing , the spicy chicken is great a good kick but not to hot to burn the mouth just leaves a nice lasting impression and very affordable as well , my young kids loved the yum yum chicken and the golden crispy chicken, my family will definitly be going back for more .
