formerly a memphis gem. if you haven't been yet, you've sadly missed your chance.. it has been well known across town that the service is slow at young ave, but it is a fact i've long overlooked due to the kind waitstaff, greatfood, and fun environment. those days have seemingly come to an abrupt end as new, younger waitstaff have begun to zap all of the charm from this cooper-young hangout. it is certainly a case of a few rotten apples spoiling the entire bunch because i have nothing but kind things to say about most all of the employees. however, it had gotten to the point where my patronage depended on who was working. it has reached my breaking point and i will sadly no longer be returning.
that being said, if you like being talked down to by waitresses with a chip on their shoulder, waiting an hour for your food, and malfunctioning pool tables, please try young avenue deli. if you're lucky, you get what you pay for.
